I’ve been waiting for a video on how to tie a larger headhunters knot. Thank you so much, Mark. Greetings from Oregon!

Congratulations on 100k subscribers. Well deserved. I liked the way you joined the ends - very neat. John

Thank you for the kind comment! It has been a long road :)
Yeah, that way of joining paracord by melting is the only viable one in my book. Otherwise it is better to stitch, splice or tie together using a knot.

I'm new to paracord and I have tried and tried to follow you. I get the whole over and under but it is the location of where you are placing the cord that I can't follow. I even slowed the video down to 1/4 speed and I still can't get it. Very cool looking bracelet though.

He is hard to follow at times. I recommend learning terminology for paracord as well as macrame. Some other good paracord makers are tying it all together, weavers of eternity, and any sailor weavers you can watch. Try also to look for basic turk's head knots and sailing knots for practice, then come back here.

MarkHow do you go from a 13 bight to a 17 bight? Still very much a novice stuck at a 7 lead 8 bight turks head and I can only get that far about half the time without losing my way in the knot. Happy to say I’m getting better with persistence. Thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge.

Does the number of total bights need to be an odd number? Could you do a 4L15B?

I get tripped up at the "splitting two parallel strands." I don't see any pair of the three strands being parallel. I figure it out eventually, but it takes me a long time with much repetition and playing the video on 1/4 speed. Any suggestions?

I also like the idea for joining the ends. I will try that on my next bracelet. Did you have a different method to add bights to a Turks head knot? I thought I saw it in a previous video of yours.

      Hey!
At the time I bought it, it was called a Rough rider. Made my wife a bit nervous about what I bought :=). You can still find it here:

The spike is great. Never used the blade much to be honest, but I'd sharpen it before any serious use.
