The most underrated song in the movie. I love Sara Bareilles, and she did a great job “reimagining” this song! ❤️
Right?
A J EXACTLY what I tought. I really felt Charity's anxiety when this song's on.
I'm with you. Beautiful song and beautiful rendition, in a very "up-close and personal" style, very fitting.
AJ • Same! I used to listen to every song but tightrope but I accidentally forgot to skip it in the soundtrack but I'm glad I did
IKR! THIS SONG IS BEAUTIFUL ACTUALLY
I love how Sara made it sadder and deeper. I definitely think about life deeply when I listened to it
Wrong
Yeah feels like her "Manhattan" song. The vibe feels sad and accepting at the same time.
💯 more meaningful and beautiful.✨
I'm baffled at people who complained about Sara singing it in a different tempo. This album is called The Greatest Showman REIMAGINED. Why asked an artist to reimagine a song, just so people can listen to pretty much the same of its original version? It's bizarre. And WHY compare? Just enjoy both for what they're supposed to be. I LOVE both versions.
mbot565 bizarre, a bazaar is a market
@@Skyebright1 thank you.
Exactly. I love both versions. Both are magical and I have high respect for Sara as a musician.
AGREE
AMEN!!
This version by Sara Bareilles really tugs at the heartstrings. Such a sophisticated and elegant reinterpretation of a beautiful song.
Wow! I've never seen someone who is as great at his /her own words like you! I never would have said it any better than you my friend.
@@CJTagaro-lx7oh Thank you for your kind words 🙏
Both Kelly Clarkson and Sara Bareilles did so well on their reimagined covers! This album really surprised me. But when I first heard they'd be doing this without knowing the song list, I imagined Kelly doing a slightly country version of "Tightrope" and Sara doing a stripped down acoustic piano version of "Never Enough". Would've loved to hear those versions too! :P
Eddie C To be honest, I'd actually love to hear Sara belt the shit out of a song some day. We all know she can do it, but she's never really gone and try to sing a power ballad (not that I remember, at least). The closest thing is her song "Stay", but that still is relatively stripped down.
@@franciscobuades3677 gravity is a ballad, ryt? try watching her a capella performance of gravity. that was breathtaking
@@markkennedyjayma36 Yeah, but it's a regular ballad, not a power ballad. A power ballad is one with lots of belting; stuff like "Never Enough", "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" or "I Will Always Love You". "Gravity" really only has one big belt, and it's a C5, which is not even that much. I really wanna see Sara tackle a very belty ballad for once.
Oh, and just in case, I do not mean that power ballads are better than Sara-style ballads, at all. I think that Sara has a really unique style of music, which I absolutely love, and would never want her to drop it. I love how she's the low-key slayer ("low key" both literally and figuratively). I just want to see her go out of her confort zone one time and belt the shit out of a song.
And yes, I have watched multiple of her acapella Gravity performances, and loved each one of them!
Aaron Hunter True, that would be cool too! Another reason why it would've been nice for Sara to have done a cover for Never Enough. As you said, its not her usual style but we know she can definitely hit those notes (or at least made it her own) if she wanted to. So this would've been a good chance to show that without affecting her usual stuff from her album :)
Eddie C Yeah, although I'd prefer if it was just a live cover of a song instead of something like this. This is supposed to get her promotion, so she obviously wants it to be her usual style, so people are like "I like this, let's check more of her".
Sara Bareilles can make anything turn to gold and this was no exception. Beautiful, beautiful rendition.
im fuckin cryin
Andrea Gutierrez mood
I think Sara reimagined the song with a different tempo because of the meaning of the song itself --- Tightrope ---> balancing and trusting. Balancing with a different tempo, yet trusting that it will be beautiful.
Thank you, Sara for this! ❤️
the song didn't sit well with me at first, what with the change of the beat and tempo. but it's SO sara's style, and i knew i'd eventually grow to absolutely love it, which i did.
this version ends up way sadder with the sorrowful background vocals and instruments. while the original version still sounds optimistic and hopeful while sad, sara's now full of despair and it feels almost like a wondering "what if?", a song sung by a tired, battered heart.
the dissonance near the end really got me.
natalia b lee i disagree but I think that’s because I immediately start crying when charity says ‘you don’t need everyone to love you. Just a few good people’ and then I just lose it through this whole song.
Agreed. This is exactly how I usually feel about Sara’s music. At first listen you’d be like, “this is pretty good.” And then you listen to it again and you’d probably go, “okay, this is actually really good” and you kept playing it until you realized you’ve been playing her music over and over and you’ve actually fell in love with it.
How you described my situation perfectly, I'll never know.
So true....
This explains everything
I heard the opening chords and I was captivated. Sara Bareilles works a unique and powerful magic.
From the piano intro, you'll know it's Sara. 😍
RIGHT!????
When I first heard I thought it was the other Sara, Sarah McLachlan because this is her style but surprise it wasn't.
Perfect choice of artist for this remake. Her voice is perfect for this song.
I know it’s essentially the same song with the same lyrics, but somehow, this feels as if it has a completely different meaning from the original.
On that note i feel like rewrite the stars had a bit of a more sexual vibe to it I mean it was good its just not the right meaning of the song
Best of all the reimagined songs.
The lilt and flow of this version of the song makes me think of a feather dropped from a great hight. Slowly falling, gently rocking back and forth in the air. A few full flips mixed in, before gently settling down on the ground.
Sara bareilles is perfectly fit on this song. ❤️
It’s hard to beat the original, Michelle Williams really hit it out of the park
A Morales i wasn’t impressed until the chorus, that’s where I started crying. But you’re right, Michelle’s version is hard to beat.
Natalie Zayas-Bazan yea don’t get me wrong, this version is nice but didn’t have much a great and strong pace as the original.
But in the movie it isn't Michelle Williams who sings.
PS: I am Brazilian so sorry for any errors.
@@neilicaetano1273 It is Michelle Williams who sings it in the film, she's credited for it
Neili Caetano wrong person.
The song i dont listen from the movie, but she brings her style in it and now i cant stop listening. And I'm dying at 3:01 .... The harmony is killing me so peacefully 😂😂😂
the notes are B3, D4, A4, B4, D5, E5, F5, G5, A5, B5 I think
@@bluegreenteal That would do it!! Normally, more than two notes causing dissonance is a no-no in music, but rules are meant to be broken, and this is a perfect example. Literally five notes next to each other sounding like that is AMAZING!!! I love dissonance for that reason!! :D
Imagine Sara being in the whole film. It would be so beautiful and magical. I love this song so much and she really reimagined it. 😍😭
that's what happen when a song-writer reimagined a song, she REIMAGINED it.
My husband and I will dance to this song at our wedding reception this Saturday. We were married in April, but our reception never happened. Blessed to be able to have a small reception with those we love and this song says exactly how I feel. 💕💜
Hope it went well - this is a lovely wedding song choice!!!
It feels like I am listening to a bonus track in the Blessed Unrest album. ♥
THIS SONG COMPOSED AND REIMAGINED WITH LOTS OF EMOTIONS :'(
I didn’t know how much i needed this rendition until now
A bit sadder but still beautiful
The original is very sad, really. It fits.
says you nobody cares about a dickheads opinion _dumbledore_
@@lwp2001 r\woooooosh
@@khaliaward1771 wait wtf does that comment mean hold on I have absolutely no recollection of typing that what
I had shivers???? While listening to this version and don't get me wrong the original also does it but this is just such a Sara song and I'm getting like "She Used To Be Mine" vibes and I just ;;;;;;;;;;
God, this is so heartbreakingly beautiful!! Sara did an amazing job!!
OMG! Sara Bareilles sing my favorite song in the movie and she nailed it!
honestly, never paid this much attention to this song of all songs in the movie, but now, I finally DO
This song grew on me.
Me too
Same. Now I love it thanks to Sara!
I'm crying before it even reaches the chorus.... she's just so beautiful!!!!
i love both version. both make me cry :')
This is really made for Sara!!
❤ my favourite version of this song.
My favorite song in the movie was beautifully reimagined 😍
I actually got goosebumps omg
The tempo adds a new flavor and emotion to the song. Kudos!
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SONG SINCE THEY ANNOUNCED THE REIMAGINED ALBUM. I THOUGHT IT WOULD FIT SARA SO WELL AND I WAS RIGHT
An underrated artist on an underrated song..
Underrated Masterpiece
So beautiful! She really owned this song. Who's here before 100k?
Why does is matter if you're here on or before 100k.
Are you gonna comment this on every song lmao
SARAAAAAA!!!!!! Love thissss!!!
*Definitely the best track on the whole Reimagined Album;* most of the tracks fell short and can't hold a candle to the original songs but Sara made this sound more emotional and delivered great vocals with a great production & arrangement. ✨
This and Kelly Clarkson - reimagined Never Enough
The Greatest Show is good too
I think Pink and Willows covers are the best personally
GarageStudio I think all of the songs were good in idea but I don’t think they gave the artists free range to really change the songs up. Come Alive sounds amazing and so does Tightrope, but a lot of them just sound like covers instead of reimaginings. The vocals all sound amazing, but I wanted more of these style reimaginings.
It's hard to choose which one is the best track but i can totally say that Rewrite the stars was a huge disappointment.
I love Sara, everything she does is perfection.
I loved this song as it was. Sara is a brilliant singer, but the waltz tempo really added to the feel of the story line and song as well as the character
This one is definately the greatest song reimagined from the album. It is so surprising how Sara did such an amazing job with the song. The original version is perfect, but so it is this one
Omg this is sooo beautiful!!! This was always my fav song from Greatest Showman to sing. This version sounds even more magical wow 😍
when I heard this version for the very first time I thought the tempo, yes, it didn't fit well on this song (like other people opinions), BUT after I replayed it again and again and again, I couldn't agree more with my first thought. This version is always be in my everyday playlist till now. Thanks Sara for this beautiful 'reimagined' 💕💕💕
This song... It made me feel incredibly emotional, not just because of the song but also because of her amazing voice. It reminds me of when I had a happy day with my grandma and that was the last time I saw her because she passed away. But this song also reminds me to keep important people close to me and I definitely will...
it's so magical sounds n voice...feels like in a fairytale..Sara always makes her music more better.
I am in love with both the versions, they are so different. And Sara, of course, has her own way of singing all the songs she has covered till now. I am so glad that this album exists. :)
Tightrope slowly became from my least favorite some to one of my favorites. And now that I saw Sara Bareilles in the title I clicked so fast.
Sara made the song into her own
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I LOVE THIS SONG!
I cried. I felt depressed in a good way
Woooooow mi Sara hermooosa😍😍👏👏👏👏
WHY IS SHE SO UNDERRATED I'M SO MAD
Wow.She really did own song💝💝💝💜💜I love it.
This song is perfect for her. She sings it beautifully.
At first, i wasn’t really feeling it but then i slowly started to and then i just full blown fell in love at the end❤️
What I love most about this rendition is that it would make an AWESOME first dance song at a wedding… Can you see it? I want to see that music video 💝☺️
I was thinking the same thing and having it for my wedding.
Same.
i want to see more of this woman on everything....!!! :3
Sara is an icon
This gives me such a new perspective on "Tightrope"...
I really do like this song, though...
Can we get a live recording for this song? I just really wanna see her.
Wow! She is incredible
YES!! I KNEW IT!! I KNEW SHE WAS GONNA SING THIS YESS!!! QUEEN!!!
It really sounds so sad. its already a sad song but she brought it to a deeper sadness. specially with all the blend and the piano :(
And tears fell. Thank you for enlisting Queen Sara to do this. Fave song off the reimagination.
Tightrope is my favorite song from the movie and now it got better by 100000% THANK YOU!!! I love Sara
never gave this song a second thought UNTIL SARA!! OMGGG I JUST LOVE LOVE LOVE IT SO MUCH, so much personality so much emotion, so much everything the song was missing before and I LOVE IT! gave it a new meaning!
I. Just. Can't. IT'S TOO GOOD! Everything Sara does is completely perfection.
HER VOICE FITS PERFECTLY
I love how people did reimagines of the greatest showman, so beautiful
Majestic and angelic. I don't know how Sara does it, she always make it seem so effortless and natural, but there's a lot of well-executed phrasing done so smoothly. She never over-sings and it's all about details in her singing.
Omg Saraaaaaa 💛
I love Sara Bareilles. I read her book and saw her musical Waitress she is amazing
she really did the real REIMAGINATION of the greatest showman's TIGHTROPE! its like totally a whole new song
It's so awesome The Reimagined collection has all the best artists sing the tracks. P!nk, Sara, Kelly, James. This is so overwhelming.
Close your eyes and listen to this.😢
sa wakas.. at last! sara's version is soo heavenly! waaah this is sooo awesome waaaaah my most awaited song for this album! morethan i imagine..
This is the best remake on the album.
Sarah nailed it!
sara bareilles is perfect for this song. thank you for recognize her!
This amazing lady’s voice is amazing !!
A Capella sends shivers up my spine!!!❤
My favorite song in the soundtrack
This whole Greatest Showman Reimagined thing is AMAZING.
omg omgomgomgomgomgomg I love the vibes of 'she used to be mine'
Out of all the songs on this album, I was most excited for Sara's and girl, she delivered!
Oh my gosh... I've loved Sara since her song "Brave" back in 2013. This was a great reimagining of this song. I love it!
This woman is pure art!
GOD THIS IS JUST AMAZING
I love how her voice echos so much!
This has Kaleidoscope Heart vibes
How many of you are going to play this song at your wedding?
I love Sara and this song!!!!!
*I love Sara Bareilles.*
Trail. To. Awesome.
Sarah Bareilles soulful singing is so perfect and so one in a million.
Kelly and Sara both nailed the songs. Love them 💕
Fits well for any wedding ceremony! Beautiful!!!
I do prefer the song in 3 time, but Sara does a beautiful job with it, as always!
Wow this version is giving me goosebumps. 'Tightrope' is so underrated.
im sorry i love this too much, i have goosebumps on my goosebumps what
