Why do people keep saying this? The task was NOT to cover the song like the original in the first place. The entire album is about singing ALL the songs differently than the original. Thats why its a Reimagined Album...she knocked it out the park, but doing it differently WAS a requirement.

The ‘mee’ vowel modification of hers is awesome. I see lots of artists cover this saying ‘may’ instead of ‘mee’ it’s hard to have a powerful belt if your mouth is not widely open enough like how she belts ‘enough’ I think she did above perfect 👌 on the ‘me’ part.

I have to say the original is untouchable to me. I am a huge Kelly Clarkson fan when I heard her version of "Never Enough", I was blown away. I love how she emotes the emotion of the song. I like how she made the song her own and she honored the original version. I would love to hear Kelly sing this live it was great.

@@maberu0930 Yeah a lot of people learn a technique that basically instead of clearly enunciating while singing you kinda slur your words so it sounds relatively the same, but you don't have to hit the proper note. Kelly doesn't have that problem, which makes her music so much better.

“Meh” is smarter and more technical vocally... it’s an open vowel instead of a closed vowel so you can get more power and sustain longer

When I first started to sing along with the "for me" part I did the original but was like "Whoa hold on.. Wow Kelly.." then took it as a challenge to do it myself. After listening to it twice, I can do it now. It's already a lot to say a male can sing along to this in any capacity lol, especially one that is self taught.

It's this that makes me dislike this version. The "E" sound is ugly and doesn't sound as epic and dramatic as "for may", which I know is a copout but it just sounds better in my opinion

@@ScottCramer but not for Kelly...if she uses autotune, it's very minimal. If you're following Kelly closely, no she does not use autotune as much as possible...it's very very very minimal...she's a raw talent and great vocalist.

Ok so I love love love Kelly Clarkson you have no idea. I voted for her when she was on American Idol. Yes I’m showing my age idc. The way Kelly hit that whistle tone note in “Natural Woman” is what I was hoping for in this song. Also if she didn’t want to hit the whistle tone note I would salivate her to finish with a three step note transition like she did with “I Dare You To Love”. I think that three step note transition on this song with Kelly would be so even more unbelievably remarkable song ever. I’m not disappointed in Kelly at all because she is amazing and always will be!!!

I adore how she didn’t need to manipulate her ‘e’ vowel in me, to an “aye” sound. It shows that her technique is so flawless, it really wasn’t needed. She nails high notes in her head voice.

Changing your "e" vowels to "aye" is a style choice. Really it changes the feel of the song and it's a way to ease into those notes.
I know that but for this song it was a style choice. Ive heard her use a closed vowel with higher notes. Kelly sung it more of a pop song where as in the movie it was more concert/choral type song. The slow change to "aye" vowels were used to give a swell of motion and feeling to the song.
Thank you! Totally agree. I like Loren Allred, but I find her "e"s so annoying in the song. It's actually started to detract from the rest of her performance. And a lot of the covers open the "e" too, which is just as annoying. It takes more skill to sing the "e" as a closed vowel.
