About 25 years ago I drove a group in a limo from Northern NY to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to a ZZ Top concert...They had me park the car just outside of the entrance so started talking to one of the security guys...Once the concert got under way the security guy asked if I wanted to watch the concert...He took me inside and up on a level looking down on the stage...I didn't stay too long because I didn't want to leave the car unattended, but what I remember more than the band was the beautiful women dancers also on the stage...Thanks for the video
I was 10 or 11 when this video came out and MTV played it sooooooo much. I loved MTV as a kid. It was all videos back then like you would listen to the radio. They did a quick MTV music news at 10 til every hour that was a few minutes long and back to the videos. Videos like this would get played once a hour. This is a example how MTV made song hits. Without this video would this song have been so popular? 80's had these fun and goofy story telling videos. Drew you right in.
This is by far my favorite ZZ Top song and one of my favorite music videos EVER. You have two people being treated like dirt at their jobs and Karma, in the form of the three ladies, comes to intervene on their behalf while also setting them both up together. Unfortunately, you are the only reactor that I have seen react to this song and music video. I hope others will follow your lead. Thanks.
One of the best concert events that I ever saw (and I saw a lot) was seeing ZZ Top in Dallas for this tour. The local radio station handed out hundreds of “cheap sunglasses” and long, fake beards to the audience with strict rules not to put them on until they played Cheap Sunglasses. The song started, and everyone costumes up. They only made it a few more bars before the band had to stop playing because they were laughing so hard. We saw that as a victory. In all seriousness, they were a seriously tight band, just the three of them. Huge sound and always spot on. It was a helluva night. I still have my ZZ chrome keychain too.
My wife lived a rather sheltered life. One day she was cleaning house and singing, "I want a Pearl Necklace ". I then explained to her what that means. She was very embarrassed saying she sang the song with her daughter in the car! Lol
Like I said the other night, the guys in the band are guardian angels, and the girls in the car are too, helping make things right for good people who can’t seem to catch the breaks in life because they are surrounded by jerks.
Definitely keep ZZ Top in the rotation, a rabbit hole you will enjoy. One of the bands that put Texas Blues on the map, especially in their early days (70s). Outstanding blues based band.
One of my favorite videos! I love how she gets revenge on the jerks but is nice to the bikers who were nice to her at the beginning. And that nice mustached gentleman ends up with the girl in white (who I personally wanted to be because she was so cool).
The women are so pretty in that video, when I was 12 I took my mom's camera and took a picture of the tv screen when they came out of the car. Lol, my mom was mad because back then she had to get the film developed in a camera shop. When looking through the family pictures she saw these sexy women and wanted to know who took the pic! I got busted, but I got the picture! Those were some fun times! Just what a 12 year old boy needs, some ZZ Top videos! :)
You probably dont care at all but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Major Jason thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
One of their best - and one of the best 80s videos of all-time - they always have so much fun w/them - when videos mattered & had content/narrative/creativity. ZZ Top is vastly underrated and if you can see them in concert. Amazing. Their take on CINDERELLA is continued w/Sharp Dressed Man which yes you so need to watch!
Thank you for taking this video, and all videos from the 80's, the way they were meant to be taken. Just as fun. Your reaction was a chefs kiss of perfection!! So, thank you!!
You paused the video at the guitar spin and you didn't notice. Of course you were excited. Lol Now other great ZZ Top songs you will like are: Pearl Necklace, Sharp Dressed Man, Double Back, Sleeping Bag, Roughboy, La Grange and many more.
HAHA!!! I love ZZ Top videos. The plot is always the same -- someone is getting bullied or harassed, so ZZ Top and their group of sexy women show up and harass the haters, hand the person the keys to their truck, and save the day.
Yess those are FUR GUITARS!!, ZZ are such showmen, this song was staple MTV, ...Love how the fairy godmothers swoop in and right the wrongs and give Cinderella her makeover. That was a thing wearing socks with high heels, I tried that too, it was cutesy, you know,..I wore them with straight leg jeans, it was the 80's afte all😉, keep checking ZZ out , they rock girl....Peace ✌
Yeah, they always had fun videos and loved their songs. I was probably about that girl's age at the time and I'm 55 now. So all the young people in that video are in their 50's and 60s now. lol Time goes way too fast! Great reaction!
I remember going to the rock club back in the day (Jillys Manchester for anyone familiar :) ) and when these early ZZ Top songs came on the big video screen, we'd all be up dancing and checking out the girls.....great times :)
The hit rod car is the one depicted on their album cover "Eliminator". It is the album Legs, Gimmie All Your Lovin', and Sharp Dressed Man are from. The album was a massive hit.
India... I love the living daylights out of you keep up the good work... Take care and don't loose your personality and charm no matter what in life...
The fur covered bass and guitar are actually covered in sheepskin. They were built Dean Zelinsky, the founder of Dean Guitars. Billy Gibbons called Dean at 3:00 AM, to tell Dean that he was sending him sheepskin from Scotland and he wanted Dean to build him two guitars for the upcoming tour. Dean painted them all white, covered them in sheepskin and then used horse shears to trim away a strip of sheepskin for the pickups. Dean and his crew were still gluing the sheepskin onto the tuning pegs when the FedEx guy showed up. He had to while they finished with the bass and guitar. The next day, ZZ Top received the guitars and shot the video.
When music videos came to TV, this was one of first I ever watched. I didn't care for most of the 80s music but we stayed up late to see the videos. This was one of my favorites.
Love this song..AND the video..its boths classics..they suceeded to wove in an entire little story into their music video..the music vidoes were better in the past...but the most important is still, the music..and it can stand on its own...very good song..
I loved 80's music and the entire vibe of that decade. Yes, we had our issues, problems, political strife but man, music was so amazing. The top 10 could include pop, rap, heavy metal and blues all at the same time. We listened to so many different styles of music. We watched music videos endlessly and stayed up late to watch them (Friday Night Videos). It was such an amazing decade. I'd jump back to the 80's any day of the week. I miss it.
Agreed, though at the time thought it was a great 80's crossover. Still retained some raunchiness . Unfortunately the next few went way synth pop . Duegeullo was my fave, "Cheap Sunglasses" for sure!
India, you are sooooo adorable, and cute with your reactions-especially when you react to these cheesy/good old days, music videos🌟🌟🌟it's easy to see, you get excited and show your spontaneous emotions, instead of just sitting there like a lump on a log, like so many other people with reaction channels. You just have a genuine, authentic likability about you, and I rarely comment, because thinking of the right words to say, kills my binge watching sessions on your channel, which I purposely do, every few weeks, so I can just spend a day or night watching one reaction after the other. "Tube Snake Boogie" is actually referring to surfing in the Gulf of Mexico, and "Squeeze Box" refers to an accordion. Easily manipulated into double entendres.

She is the typical "Girl Next Door" that people take for granted, but is a knockout in disguise lol
I never had one of those.. damn.
Bingo!
Surprisingly the actress never had a career after this video even though was an absolute stunner. The girls in the car were all Playboy models.
Yyyyyyyyy
T and I
In the video , yes.
The song is about a stripper.
I love the way they spin those fur-covered guitars!
The 80s clothes are on point!!!
It WAS made in the ‘80’s.
Right down to the lace ankle socks ❤️

Surprisingly they have 100 great songs that I forgot about. 3 man band . Epic band!
When the "M" in MTV stood for music.
Now it's "Mongoloid".
:,-( I miss my MTV.

ZZ Top is famous for the two guys with the beards, and the guy without one, his last name is Beard, it's true Frank Beard.
Always loved that fact.

"Pearl Necklace!" yeah that one. LOL. ZZ top were bad ass in their day.
My wife lived a rather sheltered life. One day she was cleaning house and singing, "I want a Pearl Necklace ". I then explained to her what that means. She was very embarrassed saying she sang the song with her daughter in the car! Lol
That kinda jewelry she's talkin' 'bout, really don't cost that much.
Even these days
Still bad ass
They still tour.
