Too late for speculation. I live near the park and a trend has already began. It’s called “hot potting”. The park’s geothermal features already kill people every year but now it’s certainly rising.

We just visited the Grand Canyon this year as a family, we were flabbergasted by the tourist harassing animals. Absolutely ridiculous. We also went to old faithful about 10 years ago and saw a handful of people walking near the hot-springs off the trails. Some people are just idoits. If you want your face boiled off, go for it. Just don’t ruin it for the rest of us
These men don’t think about the reasons why it is not to be approached, there can be a danger or damage to the environment, danger to rangers who end up having to rescue when; people get hurt, etc, etc....people putting their children; in danger of wild animals is especially stupid and ridiculous. I would hope they trespass a person that breaks a rule AND ignores the rangers warnings, stating they cannot return to the park, they lose that right. Why should the man be allowed to attend the park when he blatantly ignored the rangers direction.
