Thank you for showing us very detailed this process. RUclips is the college of life.
Lol. That’s one way to look at it.
Fantastic commentary - 35 min in and out. Love it - Especially not pulling the bumper off!.!.!
I gotta do that to mine just gotta make sure I have all right tools. Hate going back and forth
Followed these directions for a 2009 Camry and it worked Perfect. Spot On . Great Job
AWESOME VIDEO!!! Saved me $800!!!! An auto shop was using the reason for the astronomical amount for labor was because you MUST take off the entire bumper in which we all just clearly witnessed that you DO NOT!!!
Just replaced the radiator in my 2009 Camry with the help of this video. This was exactly how to do it. Thank you for taking the time to make it and upload it for us!
Amen, thank you for this video. Saved me nearly $900 in labor for watching a 30 minute video. Only thing I would mention is that using the caps on your new radiator to stop transmission fluid leaking when disconnecting the lines on your old radiator is a tip that came a bit too late for me (I was working step by step, and that step came after I'd already let it leak out), but still thank you for the video brother.
On my 2010 Camry, I left the horns attached to the top radiator bracket. Just unplug the electrical connectors and the whole assembly comes out. Great video BTW.
hell yeah. this video helped a ton. radiator blew yesterday, went to pick up a new one and banged it out in 3 hours.
💪🏾
Thank you. Bought a used 09 2 months ago. Pretty much a beater car. Discovered radiator was cracked. Good video HHAR, and the explanation sounds good!
13:49 Great video, appreciate having the knowledge before I jump into a job. I wish we could all make it more common to cover the battery terminals if we’re gonna use it as a work area. You had a close call there when you pulled the fan assembly out, I’ve seen some not go so well!!! 😮
Great video, will try it out soon. The part that concerns me most is the coolant drain out and the transmission hoses in the bottom. Hopefully that goes ok.
A list of all the tools you used would be great. I know we can see as we go through video but would be nice to know from start. Still a video that's going to save me some money!
Excellent video My brother and I Watched your Video then took out the radiator went an bought the new one . Came back and it took us 4 hours. Not Bad we though. The shop wanted $800. to do it. The cost for us was $169. for radiator and 2 gallons antifreeze and time. Thank you so much,
You’re welcome
Awesome video! Just did this radiator change and it was easy and flawless. Thank you sir!
Excellent video. What was scaring me was the tools around the battery ports. Great job bro.
Great video. I have a Camry 2011 Hybrid. Didn't have the transmission pipes but other than that it help me save a ton of money on the shop.
I just changed mine taking my time took about an hour and half, also it's not necessary to take the plates off the bottom and you don't need to take the bumper off. Also recommend changing those crimp holders on the hoses they were a pain to get off
Very good job! Most of these are not so easy to follow.
07-09 for the North America market had the 2AZ-FE 2.4L 10-11 Camry 4 cyl had the 2AR-FE 2.5L engine. The 2AR-FE also has 2 Serpentine belts. Whereas the 2AZ-FE has one Serpentine belt.
Man u made it look do easy is it that easy this is my first time doing this
Thanks. You got this!
Very informative!! I liked your talking it through!
excellent video, and will dyi it this weekend along with a new thermostat, and serpentine belt. thank you
Very very good Video thank you so much you have a good explanation keep going God bless you
Great Job....Saved me 800$....💯👌🏼💯
Don’t feel rushed … the more you include the more help for your audience. If the Pro’s are complaining then hey why are ASE geeks even referring to this 😂
New to the channel but very helpful details 🤙🤙
Thanks for the video! stay awesome dude!
I would add that at the bottom of the radiator, you need to tighten up those to hose lines.. the radiator comes out and the nut on those are lose AF. Had sht spraying everywhere. Nice video.
Was it transmission fluid coming out?
Thanks,it’s really helpful video
The most helpful video by far thank you for sharing it
Great video, wish I saw this when my radiator was shot last year. Instead I had to pay $1,100 to replace it. Do you have to replace the thermostat and do a coolant flush when you do this?
SenterKill You do not have to do either when you replace the radiator unless you absolutely want to.
Whatttt????! murder is what that is. $1100?? My condolences man
I think you got stiffed. My mechanic was going to charge me roughly half that amount.
My radiator has a leak and a Jiffylube quoted me $800ish for parts+labor. Quick online search shows aftermarket radiator part at around $250, so most of it is labor. I am sure the dealer would charge significantly more. Thanks a ton for this video, will try this coming week
Good video I filled Trans cooler with Trans fluid.
Thanks
How can you tell when it is full?
There should be a dipstick on the transmission. Might have a black, red or yellow handle.
Thanks for everything.
This is so detailed but I'm girl I can't do all this. I'll just pay the $225.... I come watch all your vids just to decide I can't do any of it when I knew that b4 I watched lol
Well you have already made a step in the right direction by trying to figure out what to do on your own. That’s a great first step! Being a girl doesn’t matter, you can do this job.
I stuck bolts in the tyranny lines worked good
Thank you..that's excellent video!
How long did it take y’all to to do it?
buen video GRACIAS
Wife has 2010 that needs a new radiator. Anyone have any tips on best place to get one? Prices are all over the place!
Молодец! Все объяснил и показал!!!
What does this say?
Well done!
Can you use an after market or get one from Toyota? Need for a 2009 Toyota Camry.
You can use aftermarket radiator.
Those locking hose clamps are the bane of my existence. Such a pain in the ass to remove.
Good video! I just wish the camera angle was better. I can't see what you're doing a lot of the time
Sorry. Sometimes it’s hard to get all the angles based on where things are at. Especially with a DSLR.
@@HelpingHandAutoRepair Thanks though! It was still very informative and I think I got the jist of everything
Ok great. Please ask any anything and I will do my best to help you out.
Great video, Thanks a lot!!
Nice
Hi, do you think I have to add any additional transmission fluid since some of it was left in radiator?
You can add maybe 8-10 oz back in.
@@HelpingHandAutoRepair the 2010 is a sealed system correct? So how do I add fluid to the transmission after the radiator change? Thx
Through dipstick. Should have a short one
@@HelpingHandAutoRepairthx actually I found out my Camry is Japanese, it has a separate trans cooler. So I just capped the lines
مشكور 👋🏼👍🏼
Thank you
What did you use under your tires to get more head room?
Jack stands
Ok thanks I'm trying to flush my coolant on my 2007 toyota camry hybrid do you know if the peacock plug is in the same place and will the peacock plug be sufficient to drain most of the coolant ?
None None yes the PETCOCK is in the same place as on the radiator in this video. There is also a block drain bolt on the back of the engine on the passenger side. It’s pretty hard to get to and not sure if you should even waste your time on it. I would drain the radiator, pull the lower radiator hose off the radiator and drain what you get from there also. Lastly you could pull the upper radiator hose off the engine side and pull the water neck off and pull the thermostat out and that will let out even more coolant. That’s the best bet to get most all the coolant out of the system. Good luck.
@@HelpingHandAutoRepair thanks
I have 09 hybrid and has two brass small pipes at the bottom of the radiator. What are the connected to?
Like this one, they should be transmission cooler lines.
I don't think I have them because I don't see it anywhere.
@@yinglium1934 you don’t see what?
what about the transmission fluid that would need to be topped off as well right?
Shaun Conklin Not as most would think. If you clamp the lines hardly any comes out. Unless you fluid was already low to begin with, you are only losing the very small amount that was inside the radiator when you pull it out. We are talking maybe 1/8 of a quart.
@@HelpingHandAutoRepair thanks I actually got it changes only cost me 250 bucks with buying a hydro jack. that 500 cheaper than anywhere in my town :)
Shaun Conklin nice job!
Helped
Glad
sweet not have to take the bumper off
Please help can’t get hose off with plyers it’s just bending
Which hose?
Darn why can’t I find a radiator with those trans coolant lines on the bottom 😮😣
Not sure. Make sure you are picking a radiator made for an automatic transmission camry.
Brought my car to mechanic last fall to replace radiator and now hot air blowing out of air conditioner
LOL
6:14 Air Intake Removal
That trans fluid looks horrible. The dummy in me would want to change the fluid and possibly kill what life it had left
Fan not working 😢
Gotta make sure it’s fully connected and that the fuse isn’t blown.
you forgot the trans lines !!!
Nope. That would be dumb. Just didn’t need to show you guys how to put two lines back on.
great job brother
Thanks 👍
Thank you
Of course! Thanks for watching.
