Jean, 👏👏👏! I have to say, you are so brave to venture out and make such a scrappy bunch of blocks. They look fantastic!!! I know you’ve made so many coordinated, yet, scrappy projects thru the years, and I always love the end results. I’ve made one massive Cal King size scrap quilt and used all kinds of crazy fabrics, not caring what fabric went where…but, in the end, the quilt turned out to be just stunning! It was a gift and she absolutely loves it!! I need to trust the process more and be brave (actually, I think it’s more the fact that you have so much experience, not necessarily bravery, lol) like you! Thanks for sharing! 🥰
Knit and crochet. I CAN'T knit or crochet!!!! LOL! Isn't that funny? I've tried and tried and tried, but I do believe it is the math of it all!!! LOL! And that is another thing I can't do....MATH....aaaarrrrrgggghhh!!! LOL! LOL!
Oh Jean!! How beautiful! I’m currently sitting at my hand quilting frame. I’m quilting a quilt with embroidery blocks that were my great grandmas that me and my grandma finished!! So my quilt is pretty special!! Yours is beautiful! Can’t wait to see the finished quilt!!
Beautiful quilt Jean. Can't wait to see it finished. I am currently doing some embroidery blocks to make into a quil. May use some of your ideas with the borders. Thanks again for your ideas Desley🇦🇺
It’s looking so pretty Jean, I think I like the owl best, he’s so cute! It looks amazing as it is but if you are wanting an opinion on choice , I would go for the beige, I think it would compliment it best. Love and hugs x
I love the combination of embroidery and piecing in this quilt and I adore all the color and print of the fabrics. I can see how picking a sashing can go so many different ways, so many choices! I'm sure it's going to be beautiful no matter what sashing you pick, how about minty green to complement the red gingham? I love how you decide colors and fabrics as you go, I always have more fun when I do that instead of following a pattern exactly. Can't wait to see how it comes out!
I love you got Ian and Maxwell in on your project. This quilt is already looking so beautiful. It's a wonderful rural theme, with urban highlights. Sometimes, we have our faces literally so close to our projects, we need another set to get a few ideas. The men in your home love your projects, and your taste as well as theirs. The 3 of you will figure it out. The embroidery is quite beautiful Jean. ❤
These are beautiful embroidered blocks! I have never seen your sashing technique, but I really like it! Since all or most of your blocks do have some black stitching, maybe the black and white dots would be pretty. I know you will choose the best color combination! You are very good at colors! By the way, the company should change their flowers to match your choices! Thanks, Jean!
Jean oh Jean, I am having a lovely, relaxing time here watching and listening to your video featuring your most wonderful embroidered quilt blocks. I am writing my comments on my tablet while watching and listening to you on our main PC. As you said it is going to be a sweet quilt, "sweet quilt" can't be more appropriate to describe it Jean. I like your choice so much more by embroidering the bright colored sunflowers on the purple butterfly/ies than what is shown on the kit, white is too pale. The bright colored flowers make it pop. I love all of the motifs Jean, and love your choice on the gingham fabric. Again, you are doing marvelously, never ending with your creativity and inspiration shared with so many. Thank you Jean for making the video, and as always, blessings and love to the Trueloves. Thelma ❤❤
Dear Jean, I love this combination of 2 of your skills, embroidery and quilting. It’s going to be so beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to make the video, love to the Trueloves 🏴
I love it!!! That butterfly without the yellow was terrible!! It looked half done. I could see some pale blue and white check to match the pink check for sashing.
I love these. Wow, your hand embroidery is very pretty. I don't do hand embroidery, but I do machine embroidery and love it. Jean, you are so talented.
Hi Jean! So cute!! I was thinking if you'd done a "sew & flip" on the corners & done another seam 1/2" away you'd have quite a cute little HST left over. I noticed you did set them aside after trimming. You could still sew a triangle onto them if you decided to do so😊😊 I thought we were going to get to see the guys!!
Jean.....there's no place for me to comment on my own 😢. I do cross stitch and like you I sometimes use colors I like instead of what the pattern calls for. I like the yellow flowers with the purple butterflies better than the white.
This will be a very sweet little quilt! I love hand work but haven’t done hand embroidery in years! You have me searching for my next project! So many ideas, so little time!❤
So very pretty!! I love how you’ve framed the blocks! Thank you for showing exactly how you did that with the measurements! I definitely want to do this!!🤗💕
So beautiful! You are amazing . How do you get all this accomplished? Please share. Thank you for sharing all you beautiful work and your lovely family
Thank you so much! I learned very quickly that having such a large family as we do, things need to be done PRONTO!! And then on to the next project! LOL! Now that we don't have all 10 kids living with us, only 1 left, I still manage to do quite a lot fairly quickly and that includes quilting and sewing!
I like the pizazz added to the embroidered blocks. How about a green for the sashing and yellow cornerstones? I'm not as good with colors as you and I think my colors might be off on this tablet. Will be looking forward to seeing how you finish it up.
Thank you:) I didn't have a pattern. The embroidered blocks were slightly various sizes, so I cut them down to the same size and just started adding strips to each side, 'growing' the block to where it wanted to be!!! LOL!
Love then embroidery. Miss watching you again.
I love the butterfly with flowers and the colors you chose. Beautiful!
Thank you so much:) This was a fun project!
Absolutely beautiful! I love the gingham on the corners!!! You do beautiful work!!! Blessings!
I love this quilt! The combo of quilting & embroidery is wonderful! 😊
What a sweet little quilt! My backs are not perfect either 😂 I think I heard Lori Holt say it’s a party on the back 😂😂😂 Thanks Jean!❤❤❤

Is there anything you can’t do Jean! These are adorable!
Knit and crochet. I CAN'T knit or crochet!!!! LOL! Isn't that funny? I've tried and tried and tried, but I do believe it is the math of it all!!! LOL! And that is another thing I can't do....MATH....aaaarrrrrgggghhh!!! LOL! LOL!

Wow... beautiful quilt! Can't wait to see it all done. What a nice job with the embroidery.
Its going to be nice.
Ohh i just found your channel & im so glad. I love this quilt idea!! And I love Lori Holt who designed Bee Vintage for Riley Blake
Jean i just love this quilt idea!! I agree with you about the butterflies, your's are beautiful!! I get confused about the color for sashing.
What a sweet quilt! Can’t wait to see how it turns out ❤️

Nice Jean because you added gingham corners your top and bottom strip could have been one piece not joined with corner block😊

Jean to remove the blue circle line without submerging it, dip a cutip into water and dab it on the blue lines you want removed.
WowWowWow! This is beautiful! Thank you so much for showing us how you did it! I can't wait to try with some embroidery pieces from my grandmother
So very pretty!! I love how you’ve framed the blocks! Thank you for showing exactly how you did that with the measurements! I definitely want to do this!!🤗💕

Jean, try aqua for the sashing. It might look good.
Love this! Did you have a pattern you used for inspiration? I don’t think I have seen that block setting and absolutely love it!
Thank you:) I didn't have a pattern. The embroidered blocks were slightly various sizes, so I cut them down to the same size and just started adding strips to each side, 'growing' the block to where it wanted to be!!! LOL!
By chance is there a picture of the finished quilt?
