To think that the last time I was interested in Skullcandy I was in middle school and every "audiophile" scoffed the humble ear buds I loved.
They still would scoff because skullcandy is without a doubt NOT known for clarity and audio fidelity BUT they are known for their bass heavy sound signature

Another stellar review by Flossy Carter for us bass speaker heads. Skull Candy crushed this boom box with the epic bass sound. Love the sound of this product. Flossy killed this review as usual. Where is my wallet for this purchase. Can't wait to hear house music on this speaker. JBL and Sony watch out for the newest contender.

I would love to see a larger tribit stormbox blast that has a driver system on each side.
We had these at work for our first Black Friday event of the season. We had them for $79.00 which is a smoking deal. I didn't need one, but I did grab one for a buddies Christmas gift.

Just got the skull candy barrel xt at Walmart on discount half price for thanksgiving special. Sounds super nice loving the bass and sound. I really recommend this speaker.
Walmart selling this for $80 for black friday is insane. It was the one deal I saw at Walmart that I couldn't leave behind. Definitely no regrets

@@abhi4ify Of course, I wouldn't talk it up otherwise lol I think the MSRP $180 is a fair price but $80 makes it a steal for sure. My buddy and I both got one, and we tried out the sync feature, and having two pointed at you feels like you're at your own little concert. It made me consider buying a second one for myself but just the single one is still super impressive. I live in an apartment so I can't even put my single one above 30% volume here at home anyway without it being too loud

I guess the skullcandy makes use of that long and large barrel chamber to amplify the bass. The UE is small and less bass...but has higher mids and highs as far as i hear.
The tribit looks shorter and less barrel volume for bass maybe?

What would be a better option as Apple mafia Ecosysystem enjoyer: getting a speaker like this one for ecosystem use, or get a set of book shelf speakers (Polk/KRK/Edifer) that connects to my Mac and through that be used as a speaker hub for my IPad/IPhones? (I currently run a HomePod mini and BeatsPill+)

How does the bass and volume compare to the original Altec Lansing Sonic Boom (not the 2)? I've been looking at these new boomboxes for a while now but I don't believe any 4 to 6 inch woofer running 100 watts or less can compete with the 8 inch 100 watt woofer + 8 inch passive radiator on my Sonic Boom.
I think i might have to order 3. 1 for me and the other 2 for Xmas gifts. I still got to get the ANC crusher headphones. Great video Floss
The multi-point connection is flawless and the built-in powerbanks is definitely necessary feature. Multiple point connections is so interesting. The volume on this party box is decent and loud. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾

What’s the update. I have a charge 4 and damn I am impressed. Came from Altec lansing. Like their look and the sound is ok. The Bluetooth is terrible the range is like 15ft. Great for the house Terrible
For outdoor labor. So JBL is great sound and performance. Idk the look wasn’t my thing but the idc about that anymore. Want quality performance over anything

I was looking forward to this comparison between the Stormbox Blast abd Skullcandy Barrel. I would go with the Blast for sure. Better battery life,Water resistances,Sound quality, App support with customizable EQ, and more mid and upper bass The Skullcandy Barrel is not a bad speaker but the price is a little bit high in comparison to the blast hell it even better than the Tronsmart Bang Max,although that has a lot more deep bass and loudness. A important message does Skullcandy Barrel is only ipx5 Splash resistant I wouldn't drop this in the pool or else yall might be screwed 😅

Hey Floss it's Matt! Walmart with selling these things Skullcandy barrel they are selling them for $79 plus tax today! I ordered and paid for mine online and I just picked it up at Walmart here in Katy Texas! I parked outside and they brought it to me! I just tried it out in my car and omg it sounds so good! This is the best speaker under $200 in my opinion and today it was under $100! My total was $85.52. I don't think I'll ever get a speaker this good again for that price lol. Just wanted to share that with you brother. And shout out to white shoes I hope she's doing well!
I’m a fan on Skullcandy Crusher headphones. As far as Bluetooth speakers go, this one is cool but I’d love to see something more comparable to the BB3. I need JVC to resurrect the Kaboom box.

They Floss I just received my Barrel boom box and it does come with the shoulder strap. It's folded up in the bottom of the black box the AC charge adapter comes in.
9:47 this song is the best for sound test imo I’ll never forget when u used it for the sound test for the JBL boombox and I was blown away. This skull candy speaker still doesn’t hold a light next to the boom box but it’s a runner up forsure 💯

Hey! I'm not sure if it's true and I can't test it for myself because the Skullcandy Barrel XT is not available yet in my Country, but I have heard that the Skullcandy Barrel XT is similar to the JBL Boombox 3 as in that it has a boosted sound when plugged in via power. The JBL Boombox 3 is essentially 33% "louder" when plugged in with AC mode, apparently the same goes for the Skullcandy Barrel XT. Just worth noting that it might elevate this speaker even more.
I'll go with the Tribit because it has an app and custom EQ
