    It's nice to see this done close up, and with fairly good resolution. I also like the "this is what it will look like after a few repeats"! It's good to see what we're aiming for. Be careful to keep the stitches on camera, though, because we have to see how exactly the floating stitch is being picked up. That's a crucial part of this stitch. Good number of repeats. Thanks for your invaluable collection of stitches -- it's important that these crafts be gathered together, I think, so knowledge is preserved and distributed freely, encouraging the craft. Thank you!

    I really Liked this video and stitch. I'm making a blanket and want to try using something like this. Is there a reversible version of this? Or a pattern you can suggest with a similar outcome?

    I would love it if you would show the back of the work for all stitches you teach. so many only look good from the front. I think a great book someone in the knitting world should write is this: book of knitting in which all stitches look good (I realize that is subjective) - but you know what I mean - look GOOD on both sides. Many of us got tired of doing sweaters, socks, etc. and really just knit to relax. We do blankets and scarves - so many friends say this. I guess I need to make my own notebook - but boy would I buy a book that had say 100 or more stitches that look good front and back...and also set up the stitches/directions so edge curling is to a minimum or do the patterns with directions for a great edging. Also, we need more books showing forward thinking knitting. I love to knit - (used to teach it) - but a lot of it really does not look very fashion forward. They show it looking great in the books and patterns...but it rarely really looks that good or "current". All these books of "modern knits" and "chick knits" - well, sadly, they often don't look so chic. I do think Drops does a good job - but those patterns are so complex. I just can't believe a designer can't do a better job on this issue. thank you.

    new subscriber, i like the way you talk through each stitch but in england plaited is pronounced with a silent `i` so its pronounced platted

    • @yarnistco
      @yarnistco  6 лет назад +1

      I guess if I were from England I would have pronounced it that way. Unfortunately I'm from California 😂

    This looks so cool. But once I get through the steps, I can't figure out how to continue. I don't know what color to use. Or which step to begin at. If I start back from step 1, I have to knit across. Is that right? Then if I do that, my second color is still at the wrong side when it asks me to pick it up again. Was I supposed to repeat with the colors switched? Man, I'm so stuck. I could cry.

      After one round 1 to five repeat from two with same color pattern. Row one is a prep row and doesn't need to be repeated
