I love that card. I had visions of you cutting all those pieces and gluing so glad to see it was inked. I try NOT to make nyr’s but I have decided I need to seriously get all my unused craft supplies to a needy organization. Finally found one that uses money from the sold items to help the homeless. So this week is sorting through all the stuff I have saved and take it too them.

Great background technique, especially for someone with minimal supplies. I vowed to get back on my pre-diabetes diet to get healthy and lose weight. I broke my arm a year ago and couldn't cook for 12 weeks. Everyone brought me food but none of it was acceptable for my diet so I went off my diet and had a hard time getting back on the bandwagon. So far so good though. I gained 40 lbs during that time but it should come off pretty easy now.
Yay!! Loved it!! Beautiful idea!! My new years resolution was to write down everything I do around the house. So the next time my husband gives me crap for being in my craft room I will have a comeback! 😝

I am loving your videos because you make it REAL! We all mess up (repeatedly! )and some carmakers don't show that in their videos....which makes me feel horribly inept. I've been creating cards for craft shows for a couple years. If I had to depend on those earnings I'd be starving. So I have tons of cards made already. I absolutely LOVE your personality, it is just like hanging out with my daughters. This design is adorable and I want to play with inks immediately. I am so thankful Jennifer introduced us to you. My new years resolution: is to try to challenge myself more. Step out of my comfort zone. I am currently working with some RUclipsrs to collect as many cards as possible, (any theme but Sympathy). We will collect them till June 1st. Then they will be put in packets of 5 and given to patients dealing with mental illness. Just to brighten their day. Then they can give them away, and brighten someone else day. We did this last year for breast cancer and collected over 8k cards. It makes me feel so good to help others. I am on permanent bedrest from bad health issues, so I fight to not let depression ruin my days. I needed to find a purpose, and I can make cards here in my bed. I love new ideas. Being on disability, my funds are very limited, so I can't buy tons of stamps. So new fun designs are just perfect.
Cute card and I love the stripe method for making the background. I often despair that I don;t have the right stencil. Love your idea to make your own. My crafting resolution is to finish the inside of my cards. I am always just doing the front and usually I need a card in a hurry and then I still have to finish it. Thanks for the fun video!
I love your fresh perspective on card making. For what it’s worth, I think the blue in your mandala not matching the sea glass in the background actually makes the card more interesting; they coordinate well and colors don’t need to be matchy-matchy. I’m not a fan of New Year’s resolutions, but I am determined to get more in touch with my artistic side this year. I’m a retired engineer, so you can imagine the challenge. LOL

Have a great semester, Rina! Card is fabulous and am in love with it!! So creative!! My resolution is to get my craft room cleaned, reorganized, and redecorated...my hubby got me an adjustable table for Christmas where I can either sit at it or stand up and stamp which I prefer to do and not have to bend over!! Still recovering from shoulder surgery so am not able to get down there and start but I am making progress and will get it to in time!!

Using the strips in place of a stencil is a great idea! Resolutions aren't really my thing. My goal this year is to continue decluttering and giving away lots of things that have been stored in my basement for years including thousands of legos and boxes of micromachines. My adult children will get the boxes of swim team tee shirts so they can decide whether to toss or keep.
I love this card design! I think it might be a good design for some of my Valentine's cards. I didn't make New Year's resolution, but instead picked a word for the year. I made bookmark Valentine's for my grandson to give to his classmates (which I laminated) and I have some pieces of laminate left over. I think I will cut them into strips and put a bit of Tombow on the backs so I can replicate your technique. (The laminate strips should be thin enough to sponge over???) This is really a fantastic card. My New Year's resolution is merely to take more time for myself to do what I enjoy!
My new years resolution is to get organized in my craft room and finally finish the recipe albums I started for my family. I have been working a lot on the albums...not so much on the organization, lol.

I love your card, going to try it with the one I am making now. I used to make New Year's resolutions, but I gradually quit. Mine were always to lose weight, become more organized, and save money....none of which happened. I am still fat, disorganized, and my finances are like riding the Tilt-a-Whirl at a county fair! LOL
My main resolution for this year is to finish the 3-volume scrapbook album I'm doing of a trip my brother & SIL took our mom on to Ireland & the U.K. (I'm doing one book for each of the 3 countries they visited.) They went in June of 2016, so yeah, I'm a bit behind! LOL I do have several layouts done, so I'm not a total slouch. But still.... :P I love your card, Rina--great way to use primary colors without it looking like a pre-school. :) And if the blues don't match perfectly--who cares? My resolution was to take one hour a day to myself to create- watercolor, gamsol, emboss, stamp....just create and pass the creations on to brighten someone's day. So far, it has been wonderful and I have stuck with it longer than any other resolution 😍

I love this card! Great job! I don't make resolutions but I do make goals. Weekly, monthly and yearly. That gives me enough play room that I'm able to get things done, but not feel like I've messed up the whole year in the first few weeks of the year!

Hi Rina! I stayed up until 5 a. m. binge-watching a RUclipsr while I folded the little paper squares for the flower card you made on Jennifer's channel. I am having a terrible time cutting them. I will be sending them to you in the mail and you can send them back when you cut them. thanks!
Have a great semester, Rina! Card is fabulous and am in love with it!! So creative!! My resolution is to get my craft room cleaned, reorganized, and redecorated...my hubby got me an adjustable table for Christmas where I can either sit at it or stand up and stamp which I prefer to do and not have to bend over!! Still recovering from shoulder surgery so am not able to get down there and start but I am making progress and will get it to in time!!
My New Years resolution is to complete the 30 minimalism challenge on my craft room! Awesome card 😍

My resolution is to keep my craft room "picked" up so I can have my cleaning lady wipe the counter tops!
Using the strips in place of a stencil is a great idea! Resolutions aren't really my thing. My goal this year is to continue decluttering and giving away lots of things that have been stored in my basement for years including thousands of legos and boxes of micromachines. My adult children will get the boxes of swim team tee shirts so they can decide whether to toss or keep.

I love this card design! I think it might be a good design for some of my Valentine's cards. I didn't make New Year's resolution, but instead picked a word for the year. My word is "focus" and I have five areas of my life with a specific objective that I want to achieve. Thanks for sharing your fun videos with loads of great ideas.

I’m in love with the mandala stamp set! My New Years resolution is to exercise more however it is extremely cold here and all I want to do is eat and watch you tube videos! Lol

I made bookmark Valentine's for my grandson to give to his classmates (which I laminated) and I have some pieces of laminate left over. I think I will cut them into strips and put a bit of Tombow on the backs so I can replicate your technique. (The laminate strips should be thin enough to sponge over???) This is really a fantastic card.

I love your card, going to try it with the one I am making now. I used to make New Year's resolutions, but I gradually quit. Mine were always to lose weight, become more organized, and save money....none of which happened. I am still fat, disorganized, and my finances are like riding the Tilt-a-Whirl at a county fair! LOL
My main resolution for this year is to finish the 3-volume scrapbook album I'm doing of a trip my brother & SIL took our mom on to Ireland & the U.K. (I'm doing one book for each of the 3 countries they visited.) They went in June of 2016, so yeah, I'm a bit behind! LOL I do have several layouts done, so I'm not a total slouch. But still.... :P I love your card, Rina--great way to use primary colors without it looking like a pre-school. :) And if the blues don't match perfectly--who cares? I'm sure whoever receives it will not even notice! The coloring on the mandala came out sooo well anyway--great shading. Thanks so much for sharing! :)

Rina- Your videos relieves stress😊. You are so fun. My resolution was to take one hour a day to myself to create- watercolor, gamsol, emboss, stamp....just create and pass the creations on to brighten someone's day. So far, it has been wonderful and I have stuck with it longer than any other resolution 😍

I love the way you did the stencil; I don't have many stencils so this was great. Love the card. One of my new year's resolution is to spend more time making cards----I usually do allllll my other work first and then make cards with any time that is left over in the day. I love this card. The colors are so pretty together! I can't wait to try it. My first resolution is to work less and make more cards. I am also in school working on my BSN as I have been a nurse for quite a while but am furthering my education, working toward nurse practitioner. My second resolution is to finish school without going crazy first :) I really enjoy watching your videos, you have a great sense of humor and always make me laugh. I saw your video on Jennifer's channel and started following your channel after that, it is really funny because I told my daughter how much I loved Jennifer's tutorials and I told her that she was my card making hero, then you said the same thing in the video on her blog....anyway, my daughter and I had a good laugh over that.
I love this card! Great job! I don't make resolutions but I do make goals. Weekly, monthly and yearly. That gives me enough play room that I'm able to get things done, but not feel like I've messed up the whole year in the first few weeks of the year!
