      @@Debora-s3f No she’s not and your immediate defensiveness and reaction means you feel insecure about something within yourself. The point of this video and her series is for women who are interested in the aesthetic of “elegance” in doing so she gives tips and explains what is considered elegant and what it isn’t. Not that every woman should or shouldn’t do this or that. If she did a video on Goth aesthetic and she thumbs down a pink frilly dress with pearls that’s not her saying it’s something wrong with that but we can all agree it’s not Goth. Same concept. If you’re not interested in being “elegant” that’s perfectly fine. It’s not for everyone and that’s ok. If you are though, here are some guidelines to achieve it.

    • @LyraDavis
      @LyraDavis 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@Madiiiiiiiii316I don’t speak for every one but here’s my take; Because the labels ‘elegant’ and ‘inelegant’ have been used to champion and berate women for centuries. The social connotations of being deemed inelegant are ‘less desirable’ and ‘lower class’ etc it’s not simply an aesthetic. Elegance extends to a persons character and value as other comments have pointed out. The implication here therefore, is that the things this lady seems as inelegant are inferior and of lower value, and so are the women who choose them. So these videos are far more judgemental than simply explaining an actual aesthetic like goth which has social connotations of electing to be rebellious and stand out for non conformity. Women haven’t been pressured to appear goth in order to feel accepted and respected. A video explaining goth aesthetic is not comparable to what this lady is doing with judging elegance. And others are rightly pointing out that she doesn’t even conform to her own standard.

What this will get you is a man who reduces your value down to only your outward appearance, and once you get old and crusty like everyone does, said man will leave you for the new trophy wife he’s probably been sleeping with for the last half decade. It’s a sad existence. And you don’t want that. Value is far deeper than the colors we wear on our nails or the beauty we have in our youth. Elegance is personal and it depends which class you belong to and the country you belong to .
      If I'm from the south asian countries , beige , neutral colors make me look like i came out from the hospital .
      Also if you want to marry into the new money , you'll be called grandma when you have this neutral style.
      But if you want to marry into old money or orthodox rich family , this elegant style perfectly works . It all depends on preference and choices you make in your life.

    God people are so insecure. She's not talking about a person's characteristics, she's talking about fashion!!
    Just like "Goth" and "Formal" are a type of fashion, "Elegant" is also another more in-depth fashion concept, and she's right! Elegance particularly caters to more soft and less-detailed fashion mostly relying on decors and accessories like jewelry, scarves, and handbags to accentuate the outfit.
    Your personality and person can still be elegant if you dress in gothic clothing, but that wouldn't be "elegance" as a *FASHION* category; that would be "Goth." You can also merge different categories like "Elegant Goth" etc. Your person or characteristics can still 100% elegant.

    Elegance is wearing the style that matches you. Nude colors and short hair are only flattering for some people. And for some people it's the long hair and bright colors that matches more elegantly. You have to take a lot of things into account to decide which matches you like your skin tone, body and face shape, the occasion and so on. You should educate yourself better before making these kinds of videos, rather than just posting your personal opinions about these kinds of topics...
