  • I wanted a rear OEM wing for the Red 9-5 and I found this -02 9-5 Aero, with a OEM rear wing and some goddies inside, and the best part was that I manage to get the whole car for less than a used OEM wing, so winwin!
The plan was just to take it to the garage, remove the wing and some interior parts, and sell the rest of the car in parts/take it to the junkyard. But it would also be fun to made it start again, after being standing still on grass/mud for over one year. So, here it goes!
No matter what, I will give the car a big clean later on.

I enjoyed your video. It would be a shame to scrap the car. I would love to see this lovely Saab wagon restored.

@@JWMotorsport Oh yeah! I'd love to see the settings of it and how it functions. As we have a saab we're looking to get something OEM

@@Desynccc I will do that! If the car have too many issues with rust etc. and not worth to keep, I will sell it in parts and by that the Kenwood nav with all the devices etc. can be up for sale if that's intresting.

That chain noise is easily fixed by replacing the top rubber chain "guide". Over time these turn into hard plastic and it starts to sound like the chain is slapping against the valve cover. I replaced this and the belt with pulleys on my 363k km 9000 CSE 2.3T Jubileum. Sounded like a new engine after this. Its cheap and easy. :)

Yes, totally! Now when the car is running and all, I might fix all the things, incl the rust and rear wheel arch. I'm not an rust/body repair expert, but I will try!

Donor car has unscractech or less scratched alloy wheels and better light bulbs in the headlights
I depending on the state of the engine of both cars, i would move all the better things to one. Make your vector an Aero or make that Aero nice again

Hello! I saw you haul the combi with a trailer...How far did you travel hauling the car? I purchased one and it's located more then 1,000 kilometers from my home, What was your experience? I read the 9-5 owner's manual about trailering and it said if the cargo exceeds 3,500 pounds (1,589 kg) the trailer must have it's owns brakes. I don't wanna twist or damage my 2004 9-5 Aero. The car to be hauled it's a 2002 Saab 9-5 2.3t with automatic transmission, so I'll take out the front axels to avoid transmission damage. I'm planning to use a tow bar and preventive lights. Please send me your reccomendations, thanks!

      Hi Juan!
Nice to hear about your new Saab!
Yes, a friend with a trailer did it for me. We had the Saab on the trailer for ~150km only, rural road/highway.
Yes, the trailer should have own brakes.
You don't need to take out the axels, just drive the car on the trailer, strap it on all four wheels (hard) and put it in park and lock the handbrake.
And off course, take it easy and don't drive too fast!
Here is a pic how the trailer we used looks like (you can see it in the video, but it might be to dark to see it complete): 03.cdn37.se/Ww/images/2.69528/3504-a4.jpeg
      Good luck mate!

I think you should just move over everything you can like the foglights and other electronics.

    • @JWMotorsport
      @JWMotorsport  3 года назад

The red 9-5 already has the "new Aero foglights" so that would be a downgrade to install this ones on the red 9-5, but I will move over as much as I can.
