- After letting Kevin my robotic platform sit under a pile of rubbish for over a year I pull it out and have a go getting it running again.
The wheel chair motors powering the robot had started to come apart so they needed to be repaired.
This is part of a series where I am looking to get my old robotic platform up and running again.

I would like to suggest replacing the wheels on one end with free spinning casters. It will allow your vehicle to turn more easily without wasting energy scrubbing the tires during a turn.
That was really cool.
Very nice
Where is the schematic drawing
Do the motors need to be parallel to the ground, can they be mounted perpendicular to the ground or possibly at an angle, like 45 degrees?
The blanking plug had probably blown out the back of the gearbox due to pressure build up. Is there not a breather fitted to the gearbox?
+EngineMismanagement there are holes at the top which I taped up when they leaked a bit, that might be it. I will take a proper look next time. Thanks
Hey Arthur!
That's awesome brother.
What scale would you say that is 1:3?
Liked and subbed
i would like to build a robot too ;p im 13 so i dont have much money and 100 for 1 motor (ebay) is a bit much... any cheaper suggestions?
+MrDutchgaming123 my first vehicles used cordless screw drivers! They are small, powerful and cheap and a great way to get started
Arthur Guy Cordless screw drivers are still a bit expensive ;P above50 euro's is too much ;p I may have 2 old drills laying around
I am talking about cheap crappy ones, you don't need quality. This type of thing amzn.to/2ddSE8i
Arthur Guy Im living in the netherlands so i cant purchase on amazon ;? They only sell ebooks in my country xd. I need to search online
Arthur Guy I got 1 old drill and can test with it but need a 7.2 volt power supply ;p because the original one is broken ;)
