So rather than pump the oil out with a piston pump, this basically turns the barrel into a keg with positive air pressure? Do I understand this right?
Exactly.
@@rednecktech82 is there any way to avoid the barrel bulging? Or is this unavoidable?
When I have time I may weld up an angle iron frame to put over the top and bottom, otherwise no.
This thing is dangerous AF! I bought one to fill my concrete pump and I thought it was going to blow the 55 gallon drum up at 4psi I DO NOT RECOMMEND this pump.
Umm, you know it has a regulator right? Don't run more than 10 psi, the lid will bulge yed but it will be nowhere near exploding. Been using mine with the same 2 barrels since this vid with zero issues.
55 inch owww yeeaaahhh lol
How do you adjust the valve like height so it fits my barrel
I cut mine down so it was about an inch from the bottom. The barrel will bulge slightly with first use.
If you're talking about the top section that screws into the barrel there is no adjustment, there you should have plenty of clearance on a standard 55 gallon drum unless you have some really high lip around it for some odd reason.
