      Thanks Cam, there are so many great anchorages in Turkey - you will always find what you are looking for - calm, peaceful spots or more loud party places. We tend to go for the quiet places but also enjoy some party time every now and again. There are so many anchorages where the water is like a clear swimming pool but much better as you are in a natural environment.

    You know the area was so peaceful and tell that sailing ship came in blaring its music people don't realize when you play your stereo extremely loud on a yacht it's going to carry for miles and miles sound travels further over water than it does overland that's why I'm always respectful and when I'm passing by a bunch of people I will turn down my music so I don't disturb them

    I see you have a towel hanging on the railing . One way to keep it from blown away before you get out there the wind picks up is when you hang it take two clothespins it gives you a little time to get it off the railing if the weather all of a sudden turns bad and it doesn't blow it into the ocean right away or to The cove that you anchored in

    Looks like Escape is up for sale. Correct?

  • @darploin5071
    @darploin5071 2 года назад

    Wendy make some special fenders that are sort of rectangular and not circular so you can literally tie them onto the cleats and then tie the other end to go under the hall and on the cleats to the other side and it really does give your boat protection in case there is a collision between two boats cuz it looks like they sell boat is dragging anchor so if you were to bump into you you would have this wonderful vendors to protect the hall also you can get your boat Pusher out and help shove them off of you see one thing I will have on mine is a Stern thruster too so I can swing the AFT in around and let the thing pass by me

    I'm thinking you should turn on your engines and put one in forward 1 and reverse so you can swing your sterner around so there's a collision it happens directly on the prow which is the strongest point of the boat another protect your Is nordhaven yacht.

    hello, the crew of Ndv 41 Escape 😅, have you met Heliad the boat seller par excellence from turkey lol! nice trip (sea) in turkey 😍, can you tell me what is the average annual or monthly expenditure on a trawler like this one, diesel and other costs ... in any good choice of vessel!

    • @teamescape6267
      @teamescape6267  3 года назад +1

      Hi, this is a difficult question as it depends on many variables like where you want to stay (anchorage are free, marinas cost money) and how much far you travel each day - don't you hate these type of answers..... So you can use this to decide how much your expenses will be. We use around 1,2 litres of diesel per nm in coastal cruising. For long distance we would slow down and use around 1ltr. You can work our how far you want to go per day x consumption x the price of diesel in your country for fuel costs. Anchorages are free and marinas cost anywhere between $50 and $150 per day depending of the facilities and protection offered. You can get an annual marina contract for around $5000 in Turkey. Food is totally dependent on you as you can eat at roughly the same price you do at home in most countries or decide to dine out which is more expensive. You then have maintenance and insurance costs but that is totally dependant on the type of vessel and how old she is. These are very basic guidelines.

    Such a beautiful place on the perfect boat! BTW does the 41' have stabilizers?

    • @teamescape6267
      @teamescape6267  2 года назад

      Hi John. The 41’ does have stabilizers and they work brilliantly while steaming . The 41’ has an extensive list of standard equipment including AC, twin engines, bow thruster, inverter, 1020 amps batteries, generator, additional deep freezer, washing machine, webasto diesel heater, entertainment centre, 2 x TV, navigation equipment including radar, search light, and more. It is a brilliant vessel for a couple.

  • @darploin5071
    @darploin5071 2 года назад

    So you've got some cobota engines down there in the engine room and tool them of equal size and I like that a lot better than one main engine and then 1 get yourself home engine And theoretically if you do not mind slower speeds you can run one at a time and extend your range

      Sure Fred. I use a decent rope and let out around 5m and tie to my anchor chain via an Icicle Hitch. I use this in calm conditions (less than 20 knots wind) as its so easy. Would always be good to see your recomendations.

    Well you know since you guys are from South Africa you have the summertime while we're in the winter which you already know that but you know what when the seasons change and it goes to Winter for the southern hemisphere you can always ski-daddle up north into European Union and sail in the summertime there and then maybe make a transatlantic crossing and go from Nova Scotia hit up Canada maybe go up to St Lawrence River to Toronto and then after a little while touring Toronto you to turn around come back out go down the coast of Maine and the Eastern seaboard of the United States and stop in and see some of these wonderful ports and don't forget to stop at Norfolk Virginia I would suggest that you only doing short-term mooring to pull into waterside it's right there in downtown and in the Ghent area and those are the two nicest areas in town and there's a lot to do there's even the water side pavilion right there at the docks mermaid monster does that occasionally which is a N 55
