I love Bering and the big Nordhavn yachts, the first time I saw the N41 I said: "meh", but after a deeper look this one looks very simple to operate and maintain (compared to others) and, more important for me, more reliable, so now it´s my favorite trawler.
I like bering too but it"s not intended for the same things. The Nordhavn is the real utility. Versatile and much lighter.Much less weight to walk around. For the same security.Probably my next investment. To sail in French waters and more.
I whole heartedly agree that Nordhavn makes beautiful boats. I do think they could have and should have added a couple of very important features to this N41 since they are selling it as a Canal capable boat. A stern thruster and " Position Hold" are extremely beneficial features when waiting for bridge openings and/or maneuvering inside a lock to obtain wall cables. Both of those scenarios present a decent amount of current and water turbulence making duel thrusters and "Position Hold" not just convenient but also safety features.
The N 41 is small enough to be hauled out of the water at the end of season and stored on land where it won't deteriorate during the winter if you do traveling now if you do 360 a year I mean all year round then you would only haul it out to do maintenance on the hall itself but British couple owns one and they just hold theirs out because it was the end of the boating season and when the season starts back up in late spring it'll be put back in the water and continue for another season but by keeping it out of the water when you're not using it during the winter is a good idea it really preserves it the only thing is it's a little too large to be trailered and towed in your garage
Winter storage on land in a marina does sound like a great approach. I would assume that a large Nordhavn can also be hauled out and stored in the parking lot of a large marina for winter storage. If so, that would be my choice.
Forget criticizing the video voice bot... focus on the boat and content. Nordhavns are the passagemaking standard, and the quality cannot be overstated. While I love the larger Nordhavns (the N63 is my favorite), the N41 is an amazing boat, and may well be what we settle on. The simplicity of it, the reliability, and the design may well make this our first Nordhavn. The N41 may well mark the beginning of a new era of long-distance yachts.
Does the N41 have "Position Hold" as a feature? That is a significantly helpful feature on the ICW and in the Canal System on the northern part of the Great Loop when waiting for bridge openings and sometimes locks to be cleared.
North Haven yachts N 41 is perfect for a single person or a couple now there are two cabin layouts the large master bedroom with a walking closet or the two bedroom and one head layout most people get the two bedroom
Really want to see the larger bathroom closet combo but I don't believe one has been ordered. My wife and I are interested in this boat and have contacted Nordhaven for more info. Much prefer the N41 over the larger Nordhavens.
@@kirkwilliams4942 I don't think anybody is going to order us that one with the large walk-in closet in the large bathroom everybody's going to order the two-bedroom layout you know why because it gives you an extra room to put things in
After watching videos on the older 40 and 43 , 47 Nordhavns, I will stay with them, may not be as glitzey, better design for pilot house, comfotable, ete. Sorry guys.
I'd like more information about the equipment, stabilizers, bow and Stern thrusters, dry stack, sea well, electronics? price range? after all the efficiency talk no top or average speeds given no gallons per hour. looks beautiful and well built but tight and no fly bridge, does the mast fold? Is this suited for the loop, how deep does it sit in the water?
Superbly practical for long and short periods out on the ocean. I wish I could afford one I would love to leave my home in Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 and slowly motor down the west coast of the USA and down to Panama 😀 it's nice to dream eh! 😄 just threw in the eh cuz that's what the Yankees think we say
There is one in BC for sale right now. The fact that there are already hulls for resale is concerning. Only one of the hulls is actually in use by its owner.
@@TheRemyRomano Could be a lot of reasons for that though, main one coming to mind is owners outgrowing it. It's very small inside. (I love it though).
@@TheRemyRomano concerning?? probably being flipped for profit. nordhavns are bulletproof solid vessels that hold their value well so im not sure what your concern is
You and me both. But I think that is why channels like this are so popular, we can all look at videos of these amazing vessels and for a moment, imagine ourselves onboard. Thanks for watching!
So far it doesn’t seem like the owners are keeping them very long. Only one has earned a pennant to date but I don’t think there are over four in existence. It’s a beautiful boat and it’s the only Nordhavn that is appreciating in value - from 750k to 1.1M (which makes no sense). These are built in Turki and you’ll get the best value and service by picking it up there. The used model prices are outrageous and very concerning. I need to talk to some of these owners to find out what they are thinking.
Agree, I have read they are all moving to the larger Nordhaven's because they love it so much, makes sense. At these price ranges it's kind of the if you have to ask you can't afford it deal, but I agree, they are overpriced.
@@NeonCab that would be great, looking forward to it. I used to do voice over work and people generally like a real voice and often click off the video when they hear a robotic voice.
Gosh, hate to say it, but the robotic narration of the video is brutal. It really distracts from the video and makes it really hard to watch. The video also changes shots too fast...there isn't enough time to take in what it's showing of the interior before it transitions to another shot of something else. Generally speaking, the moment I hear a robotic voice, I turn off a video. Only reason I suffered through this one is because I love that boat so much.
Warning -- Fake voice computer generated. It works like this. They take a magazine review and have software "read" it. They take video from others and put it all together. Don't watch or give it your time unless you are a fool.
What do you think of the Nordhavn 41? let us know in the comments below.

This looks fabulous and sounds like running gear would certainly push this fantastic home.
I like the smaller boats, they are built with class and you don't have to have a full crew
Choice one, so far.
Nordhavn 41
is solidly excellent.
Agreed I love this model.
Nice little ship! I think the 51 will be the sweet spot for me.
As a fan of tiny homes and small living, I'm a fan of smaller yachts as well.

Hey thanks for watching the video. Check out some of my newer ones, I've been doing the narration myself for about a year. Cheers.
Nordhavn # 1, all models.
I was extremely impressed with what I saw and plan to do more videos on other models soon!
A truly wonderful wonderful vessel. Thank you so much for showing
Glad you enjoyed it
Nordhavn's are my dream yacht. I look at others but none really come close to the Nordhavn lines.
I'd love to have a NORDHAVN

Looks Great. Nice build! 👍
Thanks! 👍
Loved it! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That ant no disco' party boat but I still look like John on the dance floor . Thanks Guy's
So I look at the 41 and compare it to the 43, I love them both, but they are very different, any opinions out there?
My dream boat

Love to see the Nordhavn 56 Motor Sailor ❤️
That is a Gorgeous vessel.
Definitely one to consider. Thinking about getting a cruiser to travel around the world.
Agreed!
How long is the swim platform?
Remarkable.
I'd like to make of she my retirement place.
Very nice...

The mast does fold, no flybridge. All of this can be answered on the builder's website, linked here:

Like the boat but the speaking bot sucks….
Try to watch from the Nordhavn 76 video forward. I've been narrating the videos myself. Thanks for checking this one out.
I wish it was real narration rather than the synthetic voice.
