When Kai Tracid was announced to play at Luminosity Beach Festival 2011 I was thrilled! When he then agreed to do an interview with trancefix.nl I was.... THRILLED!
We sat down at the restaurant and talked about everything from Tracid Traxx, his career, the emotion of his lyrics and the moment when Kai realized he needed a change in life. You will find out why he closed Tracid Traxx, his view on life today and did You know he had almost a whole album completed that was never released? This and much more, just a click away!
Today Kai is working as a yoga teacher, far from the life of an internationally known DJ one might think... Or maybe not, hear Kai's own words describing his different careers.

Of all the DJs i've listened to during interviews or spent time with, Kai is the most down-to-earth guy with a unique philosophical approach to life and music. I really loved every word in this interview! I'd give A LOT just to have a normal friendly conversation with him not only about our beloved music but also about almost anything :) big respect to Kai!

I'm a bit of a newbie to the house scene (stumbled on it in 2008) but it has ever since been my favorite genre. I've researched house music as well as I can over the years with internet and documentaries, and I know I'm very late to this party but I just stumbled on Kai today (I was born in 87, cut me some slack) and WOW! He really has that magical "it" factor.
I recognized your message to the World from the first song...people just need to learn to listen...this is the problem...lyrics "just for 1 day I wanna break all regulations" and other tracs and lyrics...everything has been said...just listen. and those tracks were made 20 years ago...,but lyrics are similarity to these days System ...system needs regulations...thank you for you hard work, Kai. You are a very deep personality :)

Hennes & Cold - The Second Trip (DJ Scot Project Remix)
nice guy but his tracks sound like wannabe Trance to me. Back in the days there were maaaany more real good tracks from the UK.
I think he was really more melodic techno than trance. Sure he was labelled trance but most of his stuff is really dark. Check out angel of death, or similar acts like k lab s remix of hardcore. That was the scene he was a part of. The modern uk trance scene was non existent until all these guys , scot project, flutlicht , shook , dj passion, pretty much killed the genre in 2005. It took a while for it to come back.
