...I can still hear the beautiful "smooth slide" of Daddy's Steel Guitar , as he played this song more times than i can count. This song still remains A PRECIOUS MEMORY to me, & carries a ton of emotions To me whenever /wherever I hear it. ( Thank you Betty Cotton Sanders for singing this during Dad's services, He loved you 6 B's!!!... & to The second best "Steel -man" ever, Herbie Stewart for a beautiful tribute to dad as well.) I LOVE you both, MAMA AND DADDY MORE THAN WORDS CAN DESCRIBE... LOOK 4 ME...
Thumb down maybe cause there's places that doesn't sound like Merle's voice. If you have good tone sound you can hear what's wrong. Technical, why would anyone do a bad dub.
Considering this was recorded in a country church in Millington Tn, which didn't have the greatest acoustics in 1971, and no where near the technical advancements we have today, your thumbs down on this just shows your lack knowledge on remote recording.
This is SUCH an amazing version of an amazing song.
Mama's favorite singer. This is for you Mama.
Listening from Ireland, dingin, thanks.
