What is the best replacement gas tank?

I have a Bix tank on mine. Much sturdier than the original, definitely wouldn’t trust the old plastic tanks. Will run out of gas before the boiler runs dry, got a fair amount of service from mine. Search for “Bix Hornby Rocket gas tank” and pick the most convenient supplier.

i dont think there's anywhere to sit..... :-p

The biggest problem would be that of traction, but with a large lead or cast iron weight strategically placed it could pull someone.

I use steam oil for the cylinders and machine oil for other moving parts.
