      Colin Cowherd, I've ignored you for years, but you are truly right. The lack of discipline Tomlin supports on and off the field is ridiculous. Him and his coaching staff have been complacent with subpar playoff runs for years. It's time for an attitude and coaching change if that talent will be properly used.

      Except the Killer Bees dismantled the number one defense on Sunday. It was the Defense and coaching that lost the game. Or lack of it. 42 points should be enough to beat anyone. Think much?

      FlashbackGhost as far as I'm concerned, if you score more than 31 and lose... You look at your defense. There's no need to whine about why we can't criticize everybody's favorite coaching personality. Colin is so in his head he's not acknowledging the first principle of life: if people like you, they want you to succeed and they will defend you.

    Steelers have the most stacked offensive roster in the NFL. They're football's Yankee's right now. If he is as good as people say he is, they'd have more rings than the Pats. But yet they keep getting bounced by teams they on paper should roll over.

    • @rmh941
      @rmh941 6 лет назад

      Roll over? Please the Steelers defense is no where close to the talent level of Jacksonville. You had one team with a great offense and one team with a great defense that ended up being a high scoring game, and the better team won, but Tomlin is still an overrated coach.

    The decision to kick an onside kick with 2:18 with a 2 min warning and 2 timeouts remaining was a fireable offense. When I was watching that, I was like what are you doing??? Kick it deep, make a stop and you will stop have about 1:30 remaining to tie the game.

    The Steelers are overrated their fans are always saying “We will beat the Patriots!” And they’ve beat the Patriots what 1 or 2 Times with Ben? I don’t get it? Wanna see their playoffs the last 10 years
    2007 Lost to Jaguars with David Garrar
    2008 To their credit they won the Super Bowl but Tom Brady was injured, And if the Colts has won their division, Manning would’ve beat them.
    2009 Missed playoffs
    2010 Beat Joe Flacco and Mark Sanchez and defense got smoked by Aaron Rodgers
    2011 Lost to Tim Tebow
    2012 No Playoffs
    2013 No Playoffs
    2014 Lost to Joe Flacco
    2015 Beat Bengals because the Bengals choke and lost to the Broncos
    2016 Beat Matt Moore Alex Smith and got destroyed by Tom Brady

    In watching the game, the Steelers got manhandled. They were physically dominated like I have never seen. 28 of Pittsburgh's points came on big plays and two of those big plays came on 4th down. I give New England the edge but I think that Jacksonville has a chance. The key is keeping Brady off the field and they have the running game that can do it. Also, they have very good corner play and really fast linebackers and New England does not have a good running game. It will be interesting.

    My question in all of this is why does the blame ALWAYS fall back to the head coach? Last time I checked it is the coordinators who are calling plays on Sunday not the head coach. If you want to start throwing blame I say start at Keith Butler who's defense gave up 38 points to Blake Bortles the other 7 the defense scored. Had very little faith in the Steelers in this game simply because of the last couple weeks of the season. The defense gave up 20 or more points in 5 of 6 of their final games and played the Packers (no Rodgers), Bengals, Ravens, Patriots, Texans, and Browns. Of those teams the only team who should have scored that many points is the Patriots.

    We are acting like the game was a complete blowout. He first quarter was a blowout. The Steelers at least matched (if not won) the Jags the rest of the game. What Tomlin needs to fix are the situational calls.

      Kevin Scott the fact that u give up 45 points to bottles and a decent rush offense? Credit to Big Ben for once again attempting to carry bad defence and bad play calls

      Two touchdowns were 50/50 crazy plays that could easily have been incomplete; Pittsburgh could’ve been blown out easily

      Dark_Pinoy you’re correct, that final TD was pretty irrelevant. But the score was 21-0 in the first quarter and they were down by 1 possession for most of the second half.

    Pittsburgh won plenty of games this season in the fourth quarter, some on the final drive. That's a tough team that's hard to beat. Pittsburgh never quits. But Pittsburgh is not an efficient team. Jacksonville is efficient, and tough and well coached. People should not be surprised at Jacksonville's victory. In the NFL efficient teams beat inefficient teams.

    Can't really fire a coach that goes 13-3, and has one of the best winning percentages of all time for an NFL hc with one team for this long. 28 or even 30 other teams would love to have him as their hc.

    As much as this falls on Pittsburgh, lets not take credit away from the Jaguars here. Blake Bortles played great, mistake free football, their rushing attack was unstoppable, their gameplan against the pass rush was great etc. The Jaguars played a fantastic game yesterday on both sides. They physically dominated the line of scrimmage AGAIN, and ultimately made Pittsburgh stay just competitive with their talent. Jags pretty much won the game before it even started too.

    The outrage about Bradshaw's comments was because he said that Tomlin was a "cheerleader guy". If he simply left it at "he's not a great coach" then it would've been fair criticism. No one that defended Tomlin (including Tomlin HIMSELF) said that he was a great coach.

      Pete Carroll was good 4 years ago because he knew who to draft since he just came from college. The further away he gets away from college, the worse he drafts. He's not good in free agency. He called a pass play on the 1 yard line of the super bowl. His culture is too loose so the players act like its a frat house and not a job.

    • @seattlefan5192
      @seattlefan5192 6 лет назад

      jason blakemore The one yard line call was solved this week in the firing of that inept OC. As far as the locker room I think that’ll be remedied as they get rid of outspoken vets that no longer perform, like Mike Bennett. And I think the drafts have been underwhelming. They haven’t flat out missed on anyone, but they definitely haven’t had another 2011 draft

    • @LeftCoastDrones
      @LeftCoastDrones 6 лет назад

      We'll see. But as of right now, they're a team that missed the playoffs. Their players are talking contracts during the season, which means their coach isn't strict enough. The defense still hates Russel Wilson for throwing that pass waaaay too far ahead of Lockett. They should've blown up the team after that pass. You cant recover from it. Like the Saints NEED to get rid of Marcus Williams, some things are just too big to shake and losing in the Super Bowl the way the Seahawks did is just too much.

    • @seattlefan5192
      @seattlefan5192 6 лет назад

      jason blakemore that’s a little too ambitious, it’s possible to bounce back after something like that. Scott Norwood went wide left and the bills kept that core for 3 more SB runs. Albeit fruitless ones but conference championships are hard to come by. I think they need to retool a little bit but that core still has some life. If they had a good kicker, they’re 12-4 and NFC West champs, even after losing 2 all time greats on the defensive side. They did miss the playoffs but barely. I think that a tweaking is the answer, and a full blown rebuild would be a mistake as of now
