This just changed my life! I can’t do my nails until after my babies go to bed so I’m always up so late but not anymore with this magic trick. Thank you!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This is hysterical. I miss my grown daughters at that age so much. I’m sure when given the opportunity to do their nails, even now, they will mess with me just like this. So wonderful to see. Thank you for posting this. Oh and loved the nail content as well. Hahahah ❤️
I just tried this dip removal method and OMG...wish I would've known about it 2 years ago when I started doing dips. So easy, quick and took off all product. Love the feel of the warm rice too!
OMG!!! I've been doing this wrong for 10 years!!! I used rice heated for 3 minutes in the microwave, and the take off took a little more than 10 minutes per hand (I used my trays...I should have used the bag/paper towel method for dip). THANK YOU SO MUCH1
Hi Marla, Im new to dip and your channel has been unbelievably helpful! I just did my first set last night and while I love them, I unfortunately suffer from dip flu.😩 So when I found your videos about gel liquids with dip I got so excited but was unsure about removal and what the process would be. Thanks for sharing this method!!
Hey lovebug! Welcome to the family!! So the removal is the same BUT I would recommend that you file as much of the dip off (without hitting natural nail) because it can take longer for gel to soak off. That’s the only difference! 💜
Used this method tonight to get some dip off that I couldn’t previously remove ,it worked a treat , thanks Marla be using this method every time now 👍🏻🥰
That's totally my kid, except I would of had to remove the ring. I don't really have much luck for some reason with soaking off my nails. I'll have to try the heated method. Usually I have to grind to little nubs with a power sander, lol. I like that grey color 🖤🖤🖤
I think we have the same child, my does the same thing when I get to do her nails.. I miss her so much she's on Maryland 😥 she will be here in April sc
Great video! I've been looking to getting dip powder to strengthen my nails. Would you say dips help with growing out natural nails? And, I've seen so many mixed views on the sanding band prep.. Does it change the nails texture? Thnx!
Absolutely! Dip will protect your nails from breakage while they grow out! As for prep, it’s all personal preference. However you decide to prep, be Super gentle as to not damage the nail 🫶🏻
Soaking like that in acetone freaks me out some. I've been avoiding it and using efile, but reconsidering and looking for a happy medium. I've used and liked-ish the little foil/acetone packets, and learned the heat concept. The question is about cuticle oil. Can I put it on nails and cuticle sides and then wrap and soak?
Hi. Thank you for this video. I’m having trouble finding the drill cone file attachment t. Can you please clarify in text what it’s called. Much appreciation.
@@TheeSarahWood not necessarily. Give it a shot! If you feel like it’s not working (if you have product lifting within a week or so) then you may need a 180 instead
What age could you start using dip powder on the little ones …My daughter is wanting her nails done… she is 7 she does basic polish little kid friendly colors..
That will totally depend on you and what you’re comfy doing. I might suggest doing very minimal prep on your little as to not damage the natural nails.
You can prevent gel top peeling by applying a coat of gel primer under it. As far as your cracking, I need a little more information. What do you mean gel glue? What kind of products were you using?
When I do this method to take off gel/powder, it doesn't do anything. I don't understand why the heat isn't helping at all. Is the water too warm that I'm using?
Gel 100% takes longer than dip liquids to dissolve. For gel, I’d recommend filing off as much as possible without hitting nail and then soak off the last little bit. Also, the hotter the acetone, the quicker and more effective it is.
I know this is an old video, but I keep referring back to it. I have tried this method twice, and it HAS NOT worked removing my gel/builder gel. What am I doing wrong?! Please help. I soaked them for like 10 min and my fingers are stinging...lol, still not a smidgen of difference. :-/
Yeah gel and builder definitely take longer to remove. I like to file down as much gel as possible without touching the nail and then soak off or use a gel remover.
I kept cracking up at her spinning your ring! Hope you're having a Happy Valentine's Day!
🤣😂🤣 I was dying!!!
Your daughter has a gorgeous shape to her natural nails. TYFS! 🙂

I just saw this, after a super long time removing my press ons( 30 mins), do you think this would work for those?
your daughter has beautiful nails. she had me dying laughing twirling your ring with her fingers. lol
Lol she’s too much 😂
Re: the dehydrator: is opi chip skip a dehydrator? I already owned it pre dipping
I’ve not heard of that product but you can use 100% acetone. That, I find, makes the best dehydrator!
@Marla Kris don't know why I bothered you, it is, just confirmed with google😉
Cool method. Does anyone knows if gel nail polish remover works on dip powder ?
You’ll want to use 100% acetone.
Do you use coconut oil too in lieu of cuticle oil? 🧡🧡🧡
You can use whatever oil you want! I’ve used coconut, avocado, olive lol it’s just meant to keep your skin hydrated while in acetone
Easy Peasy lemon squeezey.
Do you have a video where you remove the peel off base with dip ?
I sure do!! Here it is ❤️ ruclips.net/video/ElffEDbn544/видео.html

Absolutely!! I’d actually recommend Vaseline if you really want to protect your skin while soaking 💞
@Marla Kris so on the nail too?

What grit is the fine grit file you use on her natural nail?
It’s a 180 grit ❤️
@@MarlaKris hmm I just ordered 240 I think, is that considered polishing grit?

How long do you microwave the dry rice to warm it ? Thanks!
I do 30 sec.. give it a mix, then 30 more sec. Don’t try to do a min straight.. it’ll burn and your whole house will stink! Ask me how I know 🙄
This trick was awesome, 30 seconds did it for me, thanks so much
This so much better than ripping them off as I did today.😢😮
Oh no!! Hope you didn’t hurt yourself!
How long do you heat of the rice?
30 sec, mix it up, then another 30 sec! (Do NOT do a full min - it’ll burn and your whole house will stink!)

Do you think a primer is needed for oily mail beds?
If you’re using acrylic with monomer or gel base, you can def use a primer. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re using dip liquids.
Whoohooo!!!!
Does she have peel off base on? Ty
Nope! No peel base for my little ❤️
Hi, can you tell me which Melodie Susie e-file you have? Thank you!
