Hey everyone, I know this video is pretty far out from The Elder Scrolls and Bethesda games as a whole. This is one of my favourite story games and I really wanted to make a video about it! Ideally, long form, complete videos is where this channel is headed (along with regular TES content of course) so I hope you enjoy this one.
Very cool! It always scary venturing outside familiar turf. Here's to exploring new things. I'll be here if you decide to expand the boundaries of the channel's coverage.
This game is near and dear to my heart. Even did a school assignment with it back in the day when it just came out in my final year of high school. Amazing to see you covering it. If I can do a request: Do Papers Please next, or RiMe Both good games with stories to explain and analyse (Also happen to be the other games I used for that assignment)
That’s awesome that you also love this game my friend! Such a beautiful story! I’d definitely be down to look into the other 2! Papers please was fantastic!
This game, Gone Home, and What Remains of Edith Finch all have the stories, music, and gameplay of “walking sims.” Yet they all do things their own way. And they are masters at them. Love them and seeing you branch out.
The list just made me think of what a retelling of the story of The Painscreek Killings could be like! That'd be one to add to the list as well, for sure.
I really appreciate the support! :) I’ll definitely have to look into those other games, I’ve played WRoEF and it was amazing! I’ll have to cover it sooner than later!
Bard I think you've found your style and refined it so well you are able to provide a narrative for anything at this point. I did not expect an upload about one of my favorite games of all time, but I am so pleasantly surprised. Although I found you and subscribed for your Elder Scrolls lore content, I will be here for all of it!
I can't tell you how excited I am to see you branching out to other titles! Especially this one. I really appreciate all the effort and care you put into your content, it’s always rewarding to experience. Very excited to see where this new era for the channel takes you my friend!
That’s way too generous of you my friend!! :) I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying the content! I’m really excited to play through some more games like these and to branch out a bit more too! Lots of fun and exciting stories to tell!!
Thank you man I was just looking for a video explaining everything to me last week and there weren't anything I could listen to for more than 20 mins. Sick video as always
So glad to see you covering more games! You were my most watched youtube channel this year and I have a feeling that will continue to be the case hahaha. thanks for all the content!
Awesome! I only played it once, but I really liked it! I believe it was written by the lead writer of the first season of Telltale's Walking Dead game. I'm looking forward to more videos outside of Elder Scrolls. I found you because of oblivion, but I stuck around because I loved your narration! Since you like this game, I recommend a game called What Remains of Edith Finch. It's also very narrative focused, and it's one of my personal favorites. Might even make for a good video!
I’m really glad to hear you liked this one my friend! :) I appreciate you sticking around for the videos outside of the elder scrolls!! WRoEF is an awesome game! I’d definitely love to make a video on it too!
I've heard of this game, but I've never actually seen this whole story. This was very interesting to watch and listen to. I like the change of pace in this video to something other than a Bethesda game, even if I am usually interested in that content. Great vid overall. 😊
You have no idea how much it means to watch you cover this game. I love seeing you branch out into other story games. Keep it going Bard, I've been loving everything you upload ❤
I remember being pretty disappointed at the reveal when I played this about 4 years ago. But after watching this, I feel it was actually quite well done.
Woah! It's crazy that you just released this as I had JUST gone down a Firewatch rabbit hole! Perfect timing for a lovely Bard video. I was hoping for some more morrowind content (or a bard's sleep video), but this was a more than pleasant surprise!
While this is a change from your usual Bethesda/Elder Scrolls content, I really think that this was a good video. I never got the chance yo play FireWatch, and getting this really nice portrayal of the story was good for me. Its such a somber story, but you can feel the hope that resonates throughout the whole thing.
I looked up the voice actors after this, and delilah's voice actress actually plays Andreja in Starfield, so I guess this game actually does have a bethesda connection in a way!
Bard, you should never feel like you are restricted to bethesda games. I would love for you to explore other games like dragon age origins, baldur’s gate serie and Neverwinter Nights! 🤗
I really appreciate the support! :) it’s really nice to hear that people are enjoying the non TES related content! I’ll definitely have to give those games a try too :)
@@ABardsBallad As someone who grew up playing Oblivion first like yourself, I highly recommend these games, as they give you a lot of opportunities for roleplay, choices, explorations, and trying out different builds.
I was on TES spree, so much that I mistook this for Firewatch in TES/Tamriel Rebuilt mod 😂😂. When I see several seconds, I was like "oh, THAT Firewatch"
I think it's great you are branching out! There's already tons of Bethesda games videos so diversifying is a good move. Thank you for the vids, they are always awesome!
Okay im at 1:01:45. This whole video i have been suspicious that Henry is actually schizophrenic or something and he is the "person that has been watching them" gonna edit the comment when i reach the end. Edit: I was wrong but damn I am glad. That ending was amazing.
Haha nice, pretty far out from elder scrolls, but i enjoyed this game both times i finished it. I really like that you dare to do other stuff that you enjoy, this was a fun one. Thank you Bard!!
I remember watching a let's play way back in 2016 that I think only ever got to the initial fireworks encounter, it's so cool seeing you step outside of your usual games!
Woah this was awesome. Though I’m still so confused. Why did Ned bash him? Who was Ron and Dave? Who was D talking too/about when she had the button down?
I have those same questions! In my opinion, to answer the second one, they were previous lookouts and their notes were mainly meant to show the player that most of the lookouts who are out here are trying to escape something. As for the first question, I thiiiiiink maybe if Henry had kept the radio, him and Delilah would’ve figured out it was Ned somehow (maybe?) and then for the third question, I have noooo clue 😂
I semi-recently was going through narrative audiobooks for killing time at work while Im doing manual labor, and I absolutely came across one that was just a beat by beat rip off of this silly game.

I like it😊
will literally watch anything you put out 💪
i immediately clicked on this BECAUSE of the fact i knew you usually did elder scrolls stuff. This is a welcome surprise
I mean what is a bard if not a sharer of stories? Don't worry, it was a good video and I'm sure people will enjoy hearing the story.

"Papers Please" is a ripe one for creative narration.
I'm not familiar with "RiMe".
That’s awesome that you also love this game my friend! Such a beautiful story! I’d definitely be down to look into the other 2! Papers please was fantastic!
I second Papers Please!
Papers please would be a great video!

Love you diversifying your content dude!
Thank you! :) me too, it was really refreshing to make this video!
I remember being pretty disappointed at the reveal when I played this about 4 years ago. But after watching this, I feel it was actually quite well done.
This was a great video, I really like the Idea of you branching out to née long project! Do what you love!
I am all for something new! Great game, and I'll be eating my dinner to this video. Thank you for all of your hard work Bard!!
I hope you enjoyed it! I appreciate your support my friend! :)
@ABardsBallad I always enjoy your content brother. You're an S+ tier creator. I hope to see you get the success and recognition you deserve. 💪🤝
Awesome to see you branching out to other games, and cannot wait to experience them.
I really appreciate the support! It means a lot :)
Woah! It's crazy that you just released this as I had JUST gone down a Firewatch rabbit hole! Perfect timing for a lovely Bard video. I was hoping for some more morrowind content (or a bard's sleep video), but this was a more than pleasant surprise!
That’s awesome! I hope this one goes nicely with the rabbit hole! More Morrowind coming out soon too :)
While this is a change from your usual Bethesda/Elder Scrolls content, I really think that this was a good video. 0.01% is insane!! I love it!! Thank you for the support my friend :)
I looked up the voice actors after this, and delilah's voice actress actually plays Andreja in Starfield, so I guess this game actually does have a bethesda connection in a way!
Ooohh i always had this on the back burner i think I'll give it a playthough now amazing footage.
Oh HELL YES. Freaking love this game!!!
That’s awesome to hear! I hope you enjoyed the video!

Wonderful Video Man Keep up the good work I Really enjoyed it. Maybe a departure from your regular stuff but it was so good !
Great narration skills and great video game taste
I really appreciate it! Such a beautiful story!
I was on TES spree, so much that I mistook this for Firewatch in TES/Tamriel Rebuilt mod 😂😂. When I see several seconds, I was like "oh, THAT Firewatch"
"Just like a Woman can make a Man, A Man can break a woman for being neglectful" Henry should of Ignored of Julias need like he did
Great choice, I played it when it came out years ago. Loved the story, the suspense is intense and the atmosphere can be very heavy and dark at times.
Definitely a fun and emotional game! Lots to it and an excellent story!
I think it's great you are branching out! There's already tons of Bethesda games videos so diversifying is a good move. Thank you for the vids, they are always awesome!
I appreciate it! :) I had lots of fun making this one so definitely looking forward to more of these!
Henry's voice sounds familiar! Brian griffin or ted mosby maybe. Not sure.
Richard Sommer! He definitely has a very familiar sounding voice
@ABardsBallad I wouldn't know him by his actor name. What character is he most famous for playing?
It's fallout 4 voice actor lol
@XUndergroundRap Thank you, sir
Okay im at 1:01:45. This whole video i have been suspicious that Henry is actually schizophrenic or something and he is the "person that has been watching them" gonna edit the comment when i reach the end.
Edit: I was wrong but damn I am glad. That ending was amazing.
This was really cool to see IRL! I hear ya, when I first played through too, I thought for sure it was all in Henry’s head 😂
Haha nice, pretty far out from elder scrolls, but i enjoyed this game both times i finished it. I really like that you dare to do other stuff that you enjoy, this was a fun one. Thank you Bard!!
Definitely far off 😂 but a beautiful game! Thank you for the support!!
I was expecting another Morrowind video, but damn this hit hard in a good way, too bad it's not longer.
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it! New Morrowind vid dropping soon! Yeah this is a great game with an awesome story!
I remember watching a let's play way back in 2016 that I think only ever got to the initial fireworks encounter, it's so cool seeing you step outside of your usual games!

They’ll definitely be coming!! 😂
I wonder if this style of video format would work for psychonauts
Definitely something I could try and / or look into!
