I was twenty one when this film came out and had just trained as a R.G.N, strange when something like this jogs your memory and the memories come flooding back. Now my kids love this movie.
Epic movie I so loved pirates when I was younger I was 8 years old when I first saw this movie. My son is 8 years now and a huge fan of this movie it's timeless and perfect made us feel like something like that could happen to you and you could have such an adventure. I see how excited my kids get when they watch it and how it always brings me back to being 8 again this movie is awesome in my top five faves for sure. Thanks Spielberg and cast for all the great memories. Epic!

In the LOTR commentary, the impression was that Sean acted like a big brother & was more serious (maybe bossy) against the rowdier younger cast. But I think he is the way he is bec he grew up with a mother he couldn't completely rely on. He had to be very responsible for her at a very young age. So I wouldn't be so harsh on him.
I read somewhere they were supposed to reprise the goonies but this time with the original casts' kids. So it would be like a second generation thing, and I heard possibly they were trying to lift a pirates curse or something. Im pretty interested if they do it
Mama Fratelli broke her son out of jail so that they could all counterfeit money at the old restaurant. And he was in the Astoria "county" jail, which is apparently pretty easy to escape from. I'm a huge Goonie fan and have paid pretty close attantion to the movie.

Well as a Sean Astin fan you are obviously going to see good things which is fine.....There is even a post from Jeff Cohen on some movie site talking about Sean being a 'little brat' who thought he ran the set etc...Honestly he might have grown into a nice person but I do think they were all making fun of him for his childhood antics at least..it's impossible to miss. Especially on the Goonies commentary.

When Sean says emphatically that he 'saved the shot' on the bikes Martha responds sarcastically 'You are such a genius Sean'. Youcan tell Martha is pissed off when he cuts her off from saying something by jumping in with his 'shot saving' story etc. Heaps of little digs I thought...
From what I have read he had a prior commitment to Joe Pantoliano and he had to leave for that. The commentary started late so thats why he had to leave to go to the other thing for Joe.
Finally got to watch a couple of them but they wern't the best of copies as they were still on vhs. Glad they kept the same theme as the the goonies movie. I have a 9 yr old son now & he loved them although preferred the film. The music is great & faithful in keeping to the original & done by London Philharmonic Orchestra. Wouldn't mind getting all of them but cant find that company you mentioned. Any ideas?

He kept trying to get that story out about Cyndi Lauper and they just would not shut up especially Jeff, Richard, and Martha. But I doubt he left for THAT reason I mean it was 8 people doing this commentary so everybody was talking at one time or another.

He seems like a good guy compared to obnoxious people. As for it being obvious, that depends on the person. Some people see negativity everywhere or homosexuality everywhere.
