I work at an AMC and this is so accurate. Popcorn is always littered everywhere and people constantly leave straws at the butter station. Giving tickets you will say "You will be in auditorium 6", the guest will say "Thanks" then come back 30 seconds later asking what auditorium it was again. I have to explain to them that its on the ticket and it tell them what auditorium to go to. We have giant signs that say either 1-6 and 7-12, for each hallway of the building and which auditoriums are on each side, and people still ask about it. Dealing with the coca-cola freestyle machines is the worse and the slushie machines are always leaking. Also, 95% of my management team just sits in the office and watches TikTok all day long except for 1 of my managers who is the saving grace of my shifts. Theater hopping kids are always the worst, but yet since my management team hardly does anything, it's kind of hard for us to kick anyone out. Constantly there are complaints about the auditoriums being too loud, to quiet, or the lights not turning off by a certain point. The movie theater is definitely an annoying place to work but honestly I'll take it over my old job at a farm store.
Well to be fair, the net result of the giant sign that says 1-6 is negative 5, and the net result of the giant sign that says 7-12 is also negative 5, and when you add those results together you get negative 10, so I could really see how someone could not fathom auditorium 6 even existing in a theater that is already 10 auditoriums short.
The guest doesn't even need to look at the ticket, they just need to remember what movie they're seeing and for what time, usually. But most of humanity is on life support by now so that's probably too much to ask.

In my town in France people working there are only students or the family members of the owner, nobody worked for a full job there in 30 years. It's clean but ultra expensive, I can't go anymore.
I worked part time at a movie theatre for one year and a half when I was 23/24 and it was actually pretty enjoyable. The colleagues were fun and I didn't mind talking about movies with the customers. Even cleaning up the rooms with the background music of the movie credit scenes was ok, I managed to find money that people would forget in their seats. I guess working full time + several years or being older would be very tiresome. But I always look back at that job with good memories.
Brings me back to my college days in cineplex. Management awful, customers even worse, or vice versa. And the theatre business has had zero innovation of note or value in the 15 years since I worked for that lousy company (cineplex in Canada).

As a teenager I worked at a locally owned cinema. It was an awesome job. While the films were on, there would be virtually nothing to do. We would just go out back and get stoned. Eventually I got promoted to projectionist and it was so cool because we had film projectors still. It was a lot of fun to thread up the machine and the sound of the projectors was very satisfying. The only thing that sucked about it being film was that sometimes the mechanism that feeds the film would malfunction and the film would pile up and eventually jam. It would be an absolute mess trying to splice it back together. I'd say the worst part is that people puked pretty often and people would leave their dip spit cups laying around. A few occasions, people even left piss filled popcorn buckets.

You should see my local cinema, it's like the size of a small airfield and at any given time there are like maybe 4 or 5 guests. I went to see Dune Pt. 2 the week after it came out and I was the only person in the theater.
My first ever job was at a movie theater. Pretty accurate. One minor thing was only the managers were ever allowed to touch the projector, at least this was how it was at my location in the mid-late 2010s. I'd watch channels like YMS and Chris Stuckman in order to understand what movies were playing without watching the full movie.
As a cinema employee this hits hard. If anyone thinks this is just a funny video or as a troll trust me friend it's not. I have been working in a cinema for a couple of years and I know this is real. This is the life you'll get if you choose this path. 😥

Out side of the cleaning I don't think working at a cinema would be the worst job ever, in terms of customer service jobs it's minimal interaction. Scan tickets, tell em what seats they're in. Once the movie starts that job done til next show starts.

I used to work at the cinemas.. one time some rando took a dump in the cinema lol
The guest doesn't even need to look at the ticket, they just need to remember what movie they're seeing and for what time, usually. But most of humanity is on life support by now so that's probably too much to ask.
I work at a regal and everything you say here is true. Don't forget about people coming to complain that the theatre is too cold
Lmfao couldn't handle stocking shelves at Tractor Supply 😂
3:03 i giggled when he didn't respond and just farted. 😂
Any boomers who are surprised that young people are depressed should watch these videos to find out why. They're not an exaggeration. They're painfully real and accurate. This is how a lot of people live these days.
When I see a Zero Budget Stories notification,I click fast AF!
I’ve been watching it lately & Lord Wojack it don’t get any black pilled
This is true, especially with old people. They think they are entitled to waste everybody's time and make other people waiting.
Can you please do Life of a Grassroots Soccer Referee? Having to deal with crazy parents and everything. I'd love this.
0:16 - That's my face if I had to drive to school every week morning especially on Tuesdays but sometimes Fridays because your just ready for the weekend to arrive as well
Theme park one would be hilarious. I've seen some wild shit in my 8+ years there
I worked at a theme park too and it’s really a hot spot for weird ass people
Oh, definitely. I’ve worked at some, they can be such madhouses (especially water parks).
Zero budget stories always so accurate with the worst jobs imaginable
Your videos are always awesome my man.
We’re all a small part of a big fleeting world of flashing screens of entertainment and temporary joys. But at least as a cinema employee, you get to enjoy some free popcorn and watch movies for free. A silver lining in a sea of existential dread, I guess…
So many women or wealthy guys cant imagne how many men live a life like this and hold this society together.
Yeah, because some wagie theater usher is holding society together
@@hoobaguywagies in general hold society together lol. All those small things in life you go out to do, order, call, is all being staffed by someone getting paid minimum wage. Spoken like a true oblivious person
@@hoobaguy Hey man, someone has to do the shit jobs or noone gets their movie or mcwage burger.
@Stop_being_younger_than_me I understand that, but that same person needs to realize they will not be rich or be able to support a family or afford luxury things.
That's our problem. Everyone thinks they just deserve to be rich just for existing and not having to work for it.
Look at this hoobaguy. Just keeps putting his foot in his mouth with every word. 🙄 Anyone who pulls the whole "ya gotta WORK to become rich" definitely, *definitely* doesn't understand how the real world works.
And as an award-winning guy who's busted his arse for 40+ years (mostly in production), I'd like to state that LUCK is the primary factor which determines success. EVERYONE works hard. We'll ignore the stragglers who don't, because they ain't goin' anywhere. But hard work alone guarantees absolutely nothing. Trust me, I know. Fortune, connections, coin, clout, crews, computer code, control, communities, and opportunities (MORE luck) all factor in. If you lack those, you ain't goin' anywhere.
Love your vids man!❤

It is truly a sign of end times when an obscure youtube channel can make a more compelling story under 6 minutes than Hollywood can for over an hour and a half.
RUclips is my theater.
Ive worked at 2 grocery stores in the last few years of my life working for a paycheck and everyday will always be something happen where one person will scream and cause a riot over a coupon error or it being expired being a cashier at the second grocery store i had a customer complain to management that i put a sandwich in her cart on purpose even though she could of said something
Wait, what's the sandwich in cart story? That doesn't make sense to me.
@agentsnorlson7913 the sandwich was already in the cart to begin with the lady decided not to say that I dont want the sandwich and it be better to just make a complaint to the supervisor normally anyone can simply make a last second choice and say "I don't want this can you return this for me"
Why is always mid age people the worst customer damn?
Literally one can recognize a Karen-Kevin by just seeing if its a mid age people and have a bad higyene
In my town in France people working there are only students or the family members of the owner, nobody worked for a full job there in 30 years. It's clean but ultra expensive, I can't go anymore.
It’s very humorous, but it does give you a deep insight into the stressful profession. Hopefully, this makes people treat workers better.
Flashbacks mayne... flashbacks. I was working in a movie theater when Titanic released. Whew boy.
I Love this channel ❤️ lol
Go wojak go....
Kisses from Brasil 🥰
Brings me back to my college days in cineplex. Management awful, customers even worse, or vice versa. And the theatre business has had zero innovation of note or value in the 15 years since I worked for that lousy company (cineplex in Canada).
Greetings from Poland🙂great job
people have to remember that we all have to deal with each other... and we all push through
The best wojak channel by far! I love watching after work at Five Guys 😊
I worked at AMC near where I live in new York for about 9 months and it was the worst job experience I’ve ever had I literally attempted $uicide 6 times because of it the people I worked for worked with were terrible and the job was so soul crushing but I went to therapy and thankfully got out of it and got a new job that pays so much more and is so much more better overall I thank god every day for it so please if you’re thinking about working in one do not it’s not worth it
As a teenager I worked at a locally owned cinema.
Love your videos
Haha I used to work theater job. It can be fun sometimes but it’s a pain in the a$$ too most times

Wow, another banger. Really appreciated your work its really entertaining and meaningful. (I'm not a bot btw.)
*CHASING CHAD* time lapse had me cracking.
We went to go see saw x and they gave us a refund because our projector kept glitching. The funny thing is we weren’t being rude. We just wanted to let them know it wasn’t working and they just offered us a refund
"what movies are playing today"
"its on the screen right in front of you"
god i felt this
I worked at the movies back in 2008-2010 and let me tell u that it was one of the funnest jobs ive ever had. Especially when it got busy. We all made it fun. Gettin off late, chillin in the parking lot, free movies. Good ole days
Then why does this channel and some people or most ppl say here it’s terrible
I WORKED AT A THING DECADES AGO, VIDYA WRONG
Any job is terrible if you hate what you do.
2:10 lmao 🤣 I love it when the managers show up in these clips 🤣
Hello from Russia.
Life factory worker.
4:45 sounds like the name of a Hallmark Movie
As a 42 year man I honestly feel bad seeing younger Millenials and Zoomers struggle so much with just everyday tasks.
It's their own fault honestly (I'm a millenial). I was like this once and fixed myself, everyone can, it just takes effort, somthing that these genreations are not used to
Everyday tasks like spelling "Millennial," a word derived from the fact that the generation was coming of age during the turn of the millennium?
@@soulofexistenceYeah it's easy to blame and generalize others isn't it?
Definitely feel him .rent is too high eviction notices feeling dead everytime you sleep and get ready for work
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
I as a costumer hate other costumers in the cinema. They are unable to find their seats, they even miss the right room. They are unable to order the menu correctly (popcorn or nachos + drink)
I work in a movie theater for a year and a half when I was 18 and the only good part about it was the free movies.... oh and the ladies 😂😂😂
I love how I used to dream of working in a movie theater when I was a teenager. Discounted movies sounded like a very tempting benefit. At the time, it would've been Carmike that I would've worked at. Glad I dodged that bullet, Sounds like a living hell!
As someone who works in movie theatre this is the best job after truck job
It’s a great job, I work in a movie theater and it’s a lot fun! We work always in the evening and we have all morning/afternoon free, the cinema is busy only in certain period of the year and I can see every movie free and eat popcorn/drink for free too
Bout to start working at one this summer. Wish me luck 😢
I can't relate to any of these since I always shower when the day is over
01:25 ? what ? those customers would been kicked out instantly.
You should see my local cinema, it's like the size of a small airfield and at any given time there are like maybe 4 or 5 guests. I went to see Dune Pt. 2 the week after it came out and I was the only person in the theater.
I love how the managers always look the same 🤣
My first ever job was at a movie theater. Pretty accurate. One minor thing was only the managers were ever allowed to touch the projector, at least this was how it was at my location in the mid-late 2010s.
I'd watch channels like YMS and Chris Stuckman in order to understand what movies were playing without watching the full movie.
Ahh the glory days of working at my local AMC working harder than I ever have since to make $7.25 an hour 😂
As a cinema employee this hits hard. If anyone thinks this is just a funny video or as a troll trust me friend it's not. I have been working in a cinema for a couple of years and I know this is real. This is the life you'll get if you choose this path. 😥
Hy bruh..love form India...❤
good morning sir
I did this job in high school for 5.90 an hour. I had 3.5 hour shifts and worked for 2 old Korean immigrants that owned it and worked everyday. They told me everyday how to properly mop and hold paper towels. I loved it and miss them to be honest
I know the feeling dude, some customers are freaking annoying. I once almost got a job at a movie theater (not naming which one) and the manager didn't even bother showing up for the job interview...soon after I got a job at the neighborhood liquor store with a childhood buddy of mine (one of the best job's I have ever had).
Shout out to the Regal Cinema employees 👏🏾
Out side of the cleaning I don't think working at a cinema would be the worst job ever, in terms of customer service jobs it's minimal interaction. Scan tickets, tell em what seats they're in. Once the movie starts that job done til next show starts.
not for the cashiers
It was honestly pretty easy but when I was doing multiple things cleaning lights, bathrooms, cashier, concession that’s where it got out of hand for 7.25 an hr
I worked at a cinema in my teen years. It was fun, yeah you have your ups and downs with people and cleaning but for the most part it was an “easy” job
Babe wake up, ZBS posted
IMO, most customers are respectful and nice, saying thank you and being happy. The worst for me is if there's two or more managers who give conflicting orders
1:51 I like this movie list😂
Nice vid❤
watching this as soon as i applied to work at a cinema

This feels too real. Us wage slaves working for the privledged rich.
I'm still surprised how people are still holding it together at this point. Everybody between 20 to 50 is miserable at this point. Especially with this economy
