As a bus driver myself, I can say with absolute certainty that is not the amount of traffic or the number of stops. It's the quality of the people. They can make your day or break your spirit.
I dont know why but it my country almost every bus driver there arr always bad mood
I feel bad for the bus drivers on my route to work. Alot of people don't pay their fares and the buses are always packed when i go to work at night. Just recently there was almost a fight between two women on the bus and some passengers in the back where laughing and started filming. I hope they pay you guys good for this stressful job.
It is not “quality of people” but your reaction to them . Most people are idiots with poor judgment and poor self control , this is the majority of those who ride the buses , that is the reason they are riding the buses …
@@boratsagdiyev522Do not feel bad for the bus driver - the reason she is the bus drive is his choice based on his laziness to improve . If you are too lazy to use your brain , lazy to improve then you will end up as a buss driver … Do not feel bad , every bus driver has made his choice …
I just had a chat with my bus driver about electric cars, how buses are cheaper than owning a personal vehicle etc. He started talking like an excited school child. Wholesome.
I love it where he gets insulted & threatened by the Chad who bunks on the bus. When that happens in real life the driver generally says "fuck the lot of you, this bus isn't moving till you pay or get off"
As he should.
In my area that sometimes happens or more generally they just continue driving to avoid delaying everybody else on the bus.
Remember to always thank your local bus driver. One of the unsung heroes of our communities.

In sf I'd say 80% of people say thank you and goodbye to the bus driver

I have a friend who is a bus driver, and he is awesome. He used to fix cars on the side. A very handy man. But he lives in an area where are less people are degenerate.
As person who lives in Poland and go by bus for past 4 years to school, i didnt notice that any of "small or private bus companies" drivers would be sad, they always happiy, have sense of humour and always polite and will wait for you if they see someone trying to catch up. Maybe its only ilusion cuz i dont go to school by bus of big companies so...
Where using public transportation is normal, you have normal people using it, not just social outcasts.

Pretty accurate.
I'm so glad we don't sell tickets on buses in Sydney anymore, or have any responsibility for checking fares
My dad is a bus driver. The amount of times he’s been attacked is crazy.

As an ex first bus driver this is giving me PDST
Brian Smith you are so right I still work for First and its giving me PTSD
It's not an easy job to be a bus driver considering the hours and the lifestyle involved. After long hours of work, go home and it's too tiring for much stuff and then its bedtime, then rinse and repeat. Definitely lots of sacrifices and is the unsung heroes among the communities.
Full time is crazy. But part time is great. Pay here (Netherlands) is quite alright.
This is the type of job where an union is important because it keeps rhe drivers hopeful and motivated

i was a NYC bus driver for 4 years before going to grad school. It's not as depressing as this.
is it actually way worse?
@@lmaolol8892 well the NYCTA bus drivers have a union so thing's aren't THAT bad. Also, you have to develop a thick skin, if they see you respond to their rudeness then it'll just get worse.
You drove a bus in a fucking New York City. I would shaw off my leg to drive bus there even for 1 time. You got paid for it, and probably 10x more than anyone else in the comment section.

i once used to go on a public bus everytime i left my school, and the bus driver looks chill and loves his job, yeah honestly i don't know, most of the time working as a bus driver ain't bad but it very depends tho.
As a cardiothoracic surgeon, I recently felt too much stress and thought of switching job to become a bus driver, cuz it's so chill, just drive the bus all day and relax. But this video made me think twice before doing that.
Its definitely more stressful to be cardiothoracic surgeon. A bus driver doesnt have to do very physical job or be precise as a surgeon.

I was a taxi driver for 30 years until Covid.
I took a year off then became a bus driver two years ago.
I enjoy it a lot and am well treated by management who are fair minded and easy to talk too.
Passengers are sometimes a bit rambunctious but usually they sit quietly and say thank you when they leave the bus.
Maybe Melbourne Australia is a nicer place than where the creator of this video is but i think some people would do well to be thankful for what they have instead of being envious of others.😊
Same for me in am a busdriver in the 3th biggest city in The Netherlands. And i love it. I got payed more then most people. I drive from a to b and only have to open the doors. Most people are kind and sometimes you have some assholes but that is maybe 1 in 1000 people. My workday is not longer then 8 hours and 55 minutes. And when my shift ends i am already sitting on my couch at home. Dont want to do anything else.
@@mitchellboon2725 hmm lucky. In Brazil almost all buses have manuar gear, also the traffic is intense and the streets are rough and irregular. So you'd have a lot more work than simply open and close doors. Ah, and by the way, the doors don't close automatically, so you have to watch the mirror otherwise you might end up trapping a passenger.

One of the worst places to be a bus driver is anchorage, the only people that ride are homeless people and junkies. They’re always fighting on the buses and there’s always people shooting up in the back.

Bus drivers go through a lot, especially out here in LA. Very dangerous job.
BRO THE SCREAMS HE MAKES 😂😂😂
I was a bus driver in the UK for 3 years, this video is accurate af. Absolutely horrible.
Only getting worse with the way the local councils are going around destorying the roads with LTNs, 20mph speed limits, endless roadworks and taking away lanes and giving them to cyclists on top of existing cycle lanes. I could type an essay on all the things they're doing in my area to fuck up the roads just to justify a new congestion charge plan.
Close, but the first person with only $10 after being denied would have resulted in swearing, screaming, spitting at the driver, threatening bodily harm then smashing the windows on the front of the bus. That's what bus drivers have to deal with daily, besides the drunks puking and shitting on the bus, and the other obnoxious people. Absolute scum of society they deal with, not including the other cars on the road who have a personal vendetta against the bus. Definitely don't get paid enough to deal with that, and if they say or do anything, they get fired so you have to sit there and take it and smile. Fun job!

It's so bloody depressing whenever I watch these. But at the same time, it keeps giving me all sorts of perspective about how existence is for 99% of the population. This isn't just "bus drivers", it's all SORTS of minwage stuff. And believe me, I know; I drove for Uber and Lyft prior to the pandemic (in the O.C. & L.A. areas). :/ I did my best to make it upbeat, but nothing I did ever made the least bit of difference. In a way, I'm GLAD that C19 hit, because I stopped driving for rideshare corporations and went all in on my own objectives. I won't bother going into what those are, but I've been enjoying every moment of working on my own IP. :) #WorthIt
