I'd like to clarify please... Here are some things required for the work experience: 1. Your job offer must be at same teer level , or higher. Meaning, if your work experience is at TEER 0, then you can only apply for jobs and get job offers for jobs at Teer 0. If you have work experience at Teer 4, then you can apply and you can get a job offer from Teers 4, 3, 2, 1, or 0. Is this correct? 2. Is it a requirement that your 1 year work experience NOC must be the same NOC with your job offer? So for example, your work experience NOC is 1 year University Professor, your Teer level is 0... Does it mean to say that you can only apply and get job offer only for a University Professor job (the Same NOC), teer 0? Or is it possible to have another noc job with same teer level 0, like restaurant manager? 3. If it is acceptsble that noc of job offer is NOT the dame with the noc of experience, as long as the teer level is met, my question is, for example: a security guard noc has teer level 4 can have a job offer of retail supervisor noc teer level 2... The main question is, do canadian employers really hire a person with a security guard experience to become their retail supervisor? Please help
Q1. TEER 4 is a low level that only requires a candidate to have a high school diploma while TEER 0 is a Management level. So, candidates in TEER 4 can only get job offers at that level. However, candidates with experience in TEER 0 can apply for jobs in all the other TEERS as long as the NOC matches their jobs. Q2. You’re right. Your experience must be able to match the job NOC, in other words you stick to your line of expertise unless the job does not require any formal education or training. So, a university professor TEER 1 can apply for jobs at the same level or lower but the same domain. Q3. The answer is no. Just as explained in Q1, your TEER dictates your job. While a retail supervisor may require formal education and training, a security guard may not. The only other way that can happen is when a person advances in his career and climbs the ranks over the years. Otherwise i don’t think Canadian employer would do that.
I can't guarantee that with this type of application. How about you extend the visa? your status will be maintained until a decision is made. This will give you time to process the work permit. You can actually have both application going if you already have the required documents.
Thank you so much ma'am.
