    Absolutely love the videos guys, I am 15 and I saved up enough money to buy a Talaria Sting R and I love it so much. All of these companies are coming out with these new bikes with belt drive, but I agree with you guys that gearbox is waaayyyy better. I'm so happy I could afford to buy the bike but now I have to buy stuff to maintain the bike, and that's very expensive (like new tires, brake pads, chain lube and cleaner, etc..) so I am starting my own landscaping business, and so far it's going well, the season is over though. but at least it's not as much maintenance and money as a gas dirtbike..

    I am curious to see more in depth analysis of the suspension. It is my understanding that this is a very simple single pivot design vs. the linkage driven designs of the LBX and MX3/4. Meaning that in theory those should have better inital stroke sensitivity and deal with large compressions better due to progressive leverage curve. The large critique of the xXx is that it is a linkless single pivot design so it is more geared towards street than off road. Please correct me if i am wrong about this but they have provided very little information about the technical specifications of this bike on their website and there is no detailed photos of the suspension design that i can find.

    • @BrianLampright913
      @BrianLampright913 8 месяцев назад +1

      KTM has invested 10+ years and $millions into linkless suspension on the XC-w models, no other manufacture uses this design. It took them a very long time to develop a shock that works without a linkage, and they squarely position the XC-w as a "woods" technical trail bike. Not for jumping, not for racing high speeds, not for desert due to the limitations of this design, it's a slow-technical trail machine. Now....imagine if you had a very cheap Chinese shock that was not designed for a linkless suspension on a bike without a linkage....yeah you already know...garbage if you want to jump or do high speed off-road riding. There are reasons MX and MTB's have rising rate linkages in the rear suspension, 100 years of R&D into proving it's right. All these bikes without linkage are doing it for one reason: COST REDUCTION.

    Damn it. I should have waited. I like my talaria but this bike is sick! Oh well 😂. After watching the video, I'm still not that upset with my talaria. I'm a motorcycle mechanic. So for me I will not ever buy a belt driven machine. Especially if you're making a lot of power. If you know you know belt stretch and you actually don't put the power down, it's just the facts. Do you guys ever see a high performance motorcycle with a belt? It's usually always a chain driven with a gearbox unless you have a Harley or something that's slow lol. Happy holidays guys! Thanks for the videos as always!

      @barryhallsack8852 So are bikes like this and the Xxx useless? What are the pros and cons having a chain drive and a box? Is it harder to maintain as others say? I am not mechanically inclined but would love to learn

    • @barryhallsack8852
      @barryhallsack8852 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@Ratm4lifeThe biggest reason I picked the MX4 over the Surron was because of the gearbox, better motor, more power, longer range and better suspension.. I do a lot more off-road than street riding as well. Belts stretch, get dirty and have a big possibility of breaking. The gearbox is a sealed unit that takes oil that you have to change every 2000 mi and it's easy. The gearbox transfers power much better because it doesn't have a belt that stretches. The XXX is just too small for me and the rear shock is quite the downgrade if you are actually off-road. This is why the MX4 got the win and I pulled the trigger on this bike. I definitely don't think belt machines are worthless. They just don't fit my needs for what I know being a mechanic. My friend has the xxx it's a nice machine. There's nothing wrong with it other than it being too small for me. I'm 6.3. All these bikes will be a lot of fun. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Give me reasons why I shouldn’t buy and ultra bee that has real moto breaks, bigger size and suspension, traction control and reverse, more tire size options. I understand the argument if you can’t handle the size but for those who use that argument from a “legal” standpoint are stupid. In my opinion these are dirt bikes, and if I’m going to ride one around on the street and be breaking the law no matter what I would want to do it on a bigger and more comfortable bike. The Talaria Dragon is an electric dirt bike that was first unveiled at the 2023 EICMA. It has a peak power rating of 28 kW (37.5 hp) and a top speed of almost 70 mph (110 km/h). The Dragon has a 21-18-inch wheel combo, a minimum ground clearance of 310 mm, and a seat height of 900 mm
    Cannot wait for Talaria Dragon to come out. Imagine being the same price as E ride pro!?

    • @Talariaboys

      The dragon will be a lot more expensive than the E ride pro!

      There is no way in hell it's only 500 more than Talaria R. Hopefully it priced at 6 grand. Talaria Dragon is a direct competitor to Sur ron Ultra Bee, so it would be priced at $6500.

    For a person who is mechanically inclined and knows a welder and metal fabricator, do you think it would be cool to take everything out of my KTM 350 and get a Electronics / battery / motor setup and install it? The reason why is because I think the KTM suspension/tires/ect. Is better. To me, a bike that has KTM 350 power with electric bike quietness would be the best of both worlds!

    Seems like the decision of choosing these style of electric motorcycles are becoming harder. I like that there is new competition on the market but it's going to be tricky to pick the best one. When you factor in all the components of range, speed, power, price, and aftermarket support, this makes the decision tough to choose between the surrons, talaria, or the E-Ride Pro SS.

    honestly I think a slightly smaller rear sprocket would do wonders on that bike. It already wheelies and spins too easily during your drag races. I think with a little less torque, it would be quicker to get up to speed and also it would have a higher top speed. I hope you guys put it to the test!

    • @Talariaboys
      @Talariaboys  8 месяцев назад

      The Pro SS 72v is still no where near as powerful as an aftermarket setup with battery and controller. Those setups are expensive yes but can run double the power of the Pro SS and a lot more tun-ability.

  • @jeremyschultz4731
    @jeremyschultz4731 5 месяцев назад

    legally you need an id plate and need to register this with the dmv to be road legal with all the laws an new ones out of it as of 2024 also i did not see a plate accessory. if you use it for work ride reasons, you need to half the distance max so if id buy one id rather have an extra slot for a secondary batter if i was forking around 5g so they need an 7k one that has a 2nd bat bay to be worth it in my mind seeing how an motorcycle ev with an 120mile distance caps out at 50 mps so this why i think it would be more worth while with bigger batter bank.

      Hard to say! We haven't had a ton of 17 inch bikes, if you want a good dual sport tire for street and dirt then the shinko 241 is a great option id do 2.75 width in front and 3.00 width in the rear. If you want more offroad look at a Kenda Millville or other dirt style 70/100/17 size

    My pro SS makes a pretty loud high-pitched whining noise when you're cruising the bike and it's not under a very big load. It's actually pretty quiet if you're going up a gentle hill but that high-pitched whining noise is loud and pretty irritating. I wonder if there's anything I can do about that. I like riding a little bit more stealth with respect to the noise factor.
