Glad to see the theming isn't a pixel exclusive, looking forward to getting it on my 8.3. I do wish there was more options for always on display
Unfortunately, we do have to rely on google to add features, but A12 is a nice step up from A11. It will hopefully rock on the 8.3!

Thank you Mr. Abdulla for giving us tips. From now on, I will do hard reset on my phone every time there is a major update. I am thinking that you are right that it will eliminate bugs that HMD Global has no control over with. Very inconvenient, yes, but it might greatly help.

This update is really good. Even some of pixel features are there like live captions,app suggestion, super battery saver etc. Isn't it?

Both my wife and I got the update on our X20s and haven't had any negative thoughts on the experience. Quite like the update and the speed to which it came to the X20s. Only bug I have found is when you long press on the screen and the three menu options appear the wallpapers tab doesn't work. A little notification shows the app isn't installed. I went to the google play store to try and download the app again from Google LLC and there was no option to install or uninstall. It is just there. If you go into the settings you can access it through the "wallpaper" tab but not through the home screen.

i read somewhere, i think gsmarena, where hmd states that they are not going to update nokia 9 pureview anymore (software, not sure about security updates) since it might ruin the camera system (google also change some under the hood, not only on user interface)

@@pandevera2244 that is correct. N9PV users are stuck with Android 10 because HMD says the camera system won't work with Android 11. But my camera system doesn't work anymore anyway, so that's that.
wait you think thats huge? my A10 Nokia 7.2 takes 15GB, the one of a friend takes even more (17)

Still waiting on the Android 12 update. I hope it gives me some relief with the overheating issues this phone has. Might just be my phones battery but a temp around 32C average is just plain bad. I've tried to troubleshoot the issue with no luck.

X20 with Android 12 looks quite solid . Also in Jan there was feature patch with fixed i think some UI glitches. Obviously, it is no where close for flagships in terms of performance, but not all people out there need flagships for their stuff. That bronze color also brings some unique vibe to device. When i take my wife's x20 in hands it doesn't feel like budget after my pixel 6. And it looks feels as durable as nokia 6 and nokia 9 were (at least mine was failing on the floor each day, thanks to kids and survived almost 3 years). Also strategy to unify chips used in phones i think will pay out, as now we can speed of delivery upgrades is quite good.
I see two concerns for it, however, when it comes to this phone. It priced like 400 euros in EU, and i literally think that either display can be better for this price or the phone shall be a bit cheaper. It just doesn't stand against competitors. And the makro lens seems to be only for sake of having 4th camera on camera block in order to have balanced design, it is useless. Main camera unit is quite nice in daylight. I guess Nokia shall invest more in camera processing because this can be competitive advantage for their phones.
Indeed. The X20 feels quite premium and durable, which are my favourite aspects about it. I agree about the price, it could have been a bit better. I believe now that its price has dropped, its much better value than before.
@@AbdullaZaki , personally I am impressed about battery life in X20. My wife gets in to 2 days or 16.5 hours SOT. Indeed, she doesn't run heavy games, but messengers etc are heavily used

Just received my update here in the US.
Waiting for Android 12L to be landed on Nokia T20. Bought it recently, so far is good despite being a budget device. Hopefully Android 12L will bring the Tab more PC- like experience on using, especially in apps optimization

@@AbdullaZaki just updated to Android 12 yesterday. The new UI is very playful, I spent almost an entire night with swap the wallpapers and the base colours to find one that most comfort to my eyes

Ready and waiting on my G10
Nothing to report so far with the update of my X20. It went smooth but I had to do a reboot of the phone twice before all functionalities where operational again. Some widgets didn't work anymore or simply disappeared. Now all is back to normal but I haven't explored all new features yet.

wait, hmd split internet into wifi and mobile data like previous android? that's a nice change as it's number one complain on android 12 and splitting it can only be done via adb shell

I bought NOKIA X20 2 months back,on the first start it automatically updated for Android 12 so i haven't had the opportunity to experience Android 11.Android 12 have lot of glitches i think,my battery drain so fast as i dont get 2 days after less usage.camera,ram management, performance should be improved.I have a doubt..Is this a beta version or the full version of Android 12 that we just got ?

Hi! A12 is still not officially out for the XR20, but I would guess it should be coming pretty soon. My guess is before the end of January, hopefully a more polished version than what we saw with the X20.

Hi Thanks for your video. I just purchased my X20 3 days ago.
Some interesting issues I have come across with this update...
My old Nokia had battery issues, so I had set the Battery Saver to come on at 50%. When migrating the data across to the X20, this setting also came across. BUT there is no way to change the level at which the Battery Saver comes on in the X20!!!... I had to reset it the percent to 15% on my old phone and then do a factory reset on the X20 (and reload the old phone data) to change it back to 15%
Also I have had problems with some advertisements playing at full volume despite the phone being on mute. My provider tells me that this is an Android issue, rather than a phone issue...
I have to carry an old headphone plug, to quickly stick into the phone to mute it...

Are the ads playing from the web browser, apps, or from RUclips?
I would suggest using the my device app to report the issues. They do take feedback and usually fix things with updates.

Hmm, it seems that Nokia phones aren't getting any update when it comes to the At a Glance widget just like in Pixel devices
Funny, how this was 3 months ago, and now with the official release of Android 12 (for the XR20), these problems are either not fixed, or worse.
Are you having any of these problems? Because I think the release on the XR20 is much more polished than the first version I've used on the X20.

Whooa, man why the screen recording is so laggy on this phone? Is this because of the early version of software or it is that slow most of the times?
If you notice the beginning of the video it's laggy, then the rest it's fine. I think the first file I recorded was corrupted unfortunately, so had to redo it for every new addition.
switching apps with the multitasking tray is slow, maybe the multitasking live view is buggy
I think its a RAM management issue. Removing apps from the background helps a bit
@@AbdullaZaki because i used to double tap on the square button quickly to switch between apps, and now it just doesn't work as snappy as before

That would be ideal, yes. You will lose all your settings / photos stored on the memory of the device, so keep that in mind.

I don't think they are universal, although other phones that recently got updated to Android 12 did face their own set of issues.

Just bought this phone but find it annoying that there are no back button att the bottom, and WHY cant i remove the bottom google bar?? WTF
You can add the back button if you like. Go to settings, system, gestures, system navigation and enable it from there.
Or swipe from the edge of the display and hold to go back.
You can't remove the Google bar, but you can install nova launcher and use that instead
