To shed further light on the topic I would like to put some facts for the audience and team as well, hoping that the channel would make a detailed episode on the subject. As Chennai and other cities are running out of water, I see posts and videos asking people to save every drop of water. And yet, people aren't focusing on one of the BIGGEST places where water is being wasted, and that's Animal Agriculture. For instance, it takes ~1020 litres of water to produce just 1 litre of milk. That's the same amount of water you would save if you didn't bathe for 2 months. It's the same amount of water that could quench your thirst for a year and a half. India produces over 430 million litres of milk everyday, so if we took into consideration the water footprint of a litre of milk, that would account for a wastage of around 430 billion litres of precious water every single day. How many Chennai people do you think this amount of water can provide relief to? How many people would have access to water then, theoretically, if one glass of milk is not bought? How many crops can be grown with 1020 litres of water?(Cow milk is not necessary for survival and growth. Hint: We don't need horse milk either, because we aren't baby horses.) A recent study from University of Oxford states that raising animals for Meat, Eggs and Dairy uses up 1/3 of the world's fresh water supply and is one of the leading causes of Greenhouse gas emissions(more than all of the world's transport system combined), water and air pollution, fresh water withdrawals and land use(more than 80% of the world's farmland is used for growing feed for raising livestock, but it produces just 18% of food calories consumed by humans). The most comprehensive study till date from Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC) states that the most eco-friendly diet is a Vegan Diet, with a GHG mitigation potential of ~8 Gt CO2 equivalent per year(that's a qaurter of all GHG emissions from fossil fuels today) and that switching to a 100% Plant based diet will save us from the worst impacts of Climate Change. It is well known that anthropogenic climate change is responsible for irregular weather patters, and the collapse of our ecosystem. So the govnt has to work for it to see the changes.

Agreed. If India wants to introduce bullet train then this project should take place to some other area where we have the issue related to less availability of trains. Also like Japan and China our engineers should work on alternate ways to avoid deforestation.
Tapan don't u think so the amount of lone is taken going to take how many years to issue it back And in amount how many more problems could be solved 🇮🇳
@@sujatapadte9142 Agreed. However, if we really dream of bullet train as a country then it can be possible to adjust the amount in our GDP and by minimizing the loan taken if any. Also having bullet train in an area where we are facing problems related to railway system can help in saving time of people and will help in boosting our Indian railway department. I totally agree with you that cutting trees in the name of bullet is wrong and also the location of the bullet train project is not so beneficial to the country. We should never do deforestation for such projects as it will create bad affects and will destroy our environment. We should learn from Japanese and Chinese engineer's for sure.

One important point that should have been mentioned is washing machines. If buying a washing machine, go for front load ones instead of top load. There is a drastic difference between the amount of water used by the two. Front load washing machine require only one third the water that is required by top load ones. Which means on an average, we could wash three times with a front load using the same amount of water that is required for one wash in a top load machine. But sadly a lot of us Indians are obsessed with the initial cost of the washing machine that we fail to see the advantages that front load washing machine brings (like low water wastage, low electricity consumption, long lasting cloths)
Easiest way to get back water in our place, in wells , in kamma, in kuttai, in kulam, in ponds, in lakes, in streams, in rivers, ... All used water , Bathing, washing clothes, Washing utensils .. .. Should go into soil Soil will become like kumbhi , trash, bad smelly marsh, if soap, nirma, vim, lysol, shampoo, ...are used Do not use any of these . Without them How to ? Okay --------- Bathing: Take little water in mug or small basin Take a piece of cotton cloth - kerchief or old banian cloth or old shirt piece .. Thundu or towel means piece of cloth Rinse cloth in mug water Gently softly use that cloth to clean all parts of body Arm pits also Back neck Knee Under knee Under thighs All places of body Especially the places from where body wastes come out No soap needed or No flour powder - maida, kadalai, nothing needed ---------- Next utensils For oily utensils, use small bits bits of paper, small bits to clean oil first Then rub fine soft ash powder or soft soil particle or soft wood particles to remove dark black spots in utensils Use little water very little water with that to rub Use little water to rinse away ash , wood, soil particles Allow this water into soil ------- For washing clothes We anyway buy clothes again within a year Most buy three times a year All clothes can be worn for atleast three years, but we stop using them after a year or two So just plain water with little home made pure organic soap is enough if anybody know any other ways, please let me know All places including California, MiddleEast, Africa, China, Singapore, Japan, India have no easily directly drinkable water from wells, ponds, lakes, rivers But by doing what I say, we people can have them in our houses, village, towns No need to purify or aquafilter or any of those methods Because if soap is avoided, All nano organisms that are in air, water, soil, plants, trees, ...will help retain good quality of water, air, soil, fruits, leaves, trees, ... complete ecosystem Soap and chemicals kill all all all bacteria, you know it , isn't it? All beings have capacity to inhale air, absorb needed gases and particles, and exhale unnecessary bad particles or bacteria out of the body Other than breathing out, all beings are Sweating, shitting etc to retain good bacteria and send out bad bacteria So no need of chemicals that only spoil all the nature god given ways of living Our country climate is good No need of AC, Fan, etc See we need sweating also to send out bad unnecessary particles out of body, to be healthy Do not allow city people inside our villages or towns They are only imagining that they are clever. They are not clever. They have lost their intelligence. But want to say villagers are poor, no money, etc.. so they think money is intelligence. Let them have money, car, AC Do not give them food. Then they will know . Car, AC, Tyres, fuel, petrol, tar roads, cement roads, paint, grease, ...all spoil our good soil, our air, our water, our rain water , all rain water is waste that fall on roads or grease or oil from vehicles, ... We need rain water. Those in cities or metro, should help to preserve atleast villages and towns Please do not spoil the only chance to know which of the habits are good. Atleast by seeing them, we can change cities also to get back intelligence, to get back our air, our water, our soil, our wells, our fruit trees, our cattles, our own milk dairy in each locality, suburb, ward, zones, own easily locally available fresh todays manure, fresh todays fresh morning vegetables and fresh fruits that are naturally fully grown and so naturally ripe to eat with all minerals and vitamins in a naturally ripe fruit. So avoid plucked half ripe fruits and then chemicals or smoke used to change color and fool ourselves eating unripe fruits So let us all strive to remain intelligent. 🙏🏼

Love you Dhruv. Keep educating ❤️

Easiest way to get back water in our place, in wells , in kamma, in kuttai, in kulam, in ponds, in lakes, in streams, in rivers, ...
All used water , Bathing, washing clothes, Washing utensils .. .. Should go into soil
Soil will become like kumbhi , trash, bad smelly marsh,
if soap, nirma, vim, lysol, shampoo, ...are used
Do not use any of these .
Without them
How to ?
Okay
--------- Bathing:
Take little water in mug or small basin
Take a piece of cotton cloth - kerchief or old banian cloth or old shirt piece ..
Thundu or towel means piece of cloth
Rinse cloth in mug water
Gently softly use that cloth to clean all parts of body
Arm pits
also Back neck
Knee
Under knee
Under thighs
All places of body
Especially the places from where body wastes come out
No soap needed or No flour powder - maida, kadalai, nothing needed
---------- Next utensils
For oily utensils, use small bits bits of paper, small bits to clean oil first
Then rub fine soft ash powder or soft soil particle or soft wood particles to remove dark black spots in utensils Use little water very little water with that to rub
Use little water to rinse away ash , wood, soil particles
Allow this water into soil
------- For washing clothes
We anyway buy clothes again within a year
Most buy three times a year
All clothes can be worn for atleast three years, but we stop using them after a year or two
So just plain water with little home made pure organic soap is enough
if anybody know any other ways, please let me know
All places including California, MiddleEast, Africa, China, Singapore, Japan, India have no easily directly drinkable water from wells, ponds, lakes, rivers
But by doing what I say, we people can have them in our houses, village, towns
No need to purify or aquafilter or any of those methods
Because if soap is avoided,
All nano organisms that are in air, water, soil, plants, trees, ...will help retain good quality of water, air, soil, fruits, leaves, trees, ... complete ecosystem
Soap and chemicals kill all all all bacteria, you know it , isn't it?
All beings have capacity to inhale air, absorb needed gases and particles, and exhale unnecessary bad particles or bacteria out of the body
Other than breathing out, all beings are Sweating, shitting etc to retain good bacteria and send out bad bacteria
So no need of chemicals that only spoil all the nature god given ways of living
Our country climate is good
No need of AC, Fan, etc
See we need sweating also to send out bad unnecessary particles out of body, to be healthy
Do not allow city people inside our villages or towns
They are only imagining that they are clever.
They are not clever.
They have lost their intelligence.
But want to say villagers are poor, no money, etc..
so they think money is intelligence.
Let them have money, car, AC
Do not give them food.
Then they will know .
Car, AC, Tyres, fuel, petrol, tar roads, cement roads, paint, grease, ...all spoil our good soil, our air, our water, our rain water , all rain water is waste that fall on roads or grease or oil from vehicles, ...
We need rain water.
Those in cities or metro, should help to preserve atleast villages and towns
Please do not spoil the only chance to know which of the habits are good.
So avoid plucked half ripe fruits and then chemicals or smoke used to change color and fool ourselves eating unripe fruits
So let us all strive to remain intelligent.

I really admire the efforts put in by Dhruv Rathee to make the general public aware of issues that are relevant and the repercussions of our ignorance.
Hint: We don't need horse milk either, because we aren't baby horses.)
A recent study from University of Oxford states that raising animals for Meat, Eggs and Dairy uses up 1/3 of the world's fresh water supply and is one of the leading causes of Greenhouse gas emissions(more than all of the world's transport system combined), water and air pollution, fresh water withdrawals and land use(more than 80% of the world's farmland is used for growing feed for raising livestock, but it produces just 18% of food calories consumed by humans).
It's only a matter of time before the Chennai water crisis hits Delhi and other parts of the World. It's inevitable, considering the present course of mindless exploitation. It's upto us, whether we want to do our bit by turning off the faucet while brushing our teeth or by actually addressing the elephant in the room.
Warm regards
@@nabhdeeppopli1739 hats off...really appreciate your effort to put in the write up here...i also think so much about doing something for climate change but cudnt put in any real efforts due to being single handed. Wud be great if there was some group.
Bro wat sud i say, ur comment shaked me deep and i realised there are others too who think like me in the world for saving the planet. I expect humanity to exactly behave the way you have put in here for all the natural resources they use, be it water or soil or air or fossil fuels or any other natural resources, U know something like the Tribes of the planet Pandora lived in the holly movie "Avatar", but i know its a far fetched expectation and the common public doesnt think the way we think. So i just sit back and think what can i do to make others do things like i myself do at home.
