This meditation on beauty is so emotionally moving, and is more relevant to our times than in any other previous era. We live in a world bombarded by imagery, facilitated by our latest technological advancements and our attachment to the superficial aspects of beauty has never been stronger. This preoccupation with the sexualized aspect of beauty, and the transactional nature of experiencing it, really encumbers us from seeing a form of beauty that is far more profound and life changing. Thank you, Mother Natalia, for reframing beauty within the spiritual context as a gift from God that should be cherished and not exploited nor possessed.
Hi Mother Natalia, Wat you say at 4:25 really hits home with me. I crave God's Beauty. But because my mind is corrupted, I'm blinded most of the time by lust. I went to confession last thursday because of it, but fell again the same day, twice. And maybe 10 times since then untill now. It's crushing me, it makes me ill and I hate it. All I want is to whitness God's Beauty. And when I get a glimpse, I feel like I can cry because all I do is destroy myself. And there's nothing I feel I can do to save my soul...

... I watched this video cuz I thought it said pornography... Not photography.... It spoke to that facet of my heart so deeply... Specifically The quote... And the idea that in our world we are scared we'll lose beauty so we take it... Instead of us looking at the world around us for beauty..
Hello Mother Natalia, it is nice to see how photography has drawn your perceptions to see the beauty of Gods design made apparent to all his creatures if they have eyes to see. One of the pitfalls of this pursuit of photography is the search for perfection in the materialism of the gear or Gear Acquisition Syndrome , GAS. I unfortunately fall into this trap all too frequently. As a result of my over indulgence in gear I have it on my heart to get rid of some and your video on your capture by this medium may give me an opportunity to enrich someone else. I take it you have a community dslr you are able to use. I don’t know if having a personal camera would go against some of the vows you may have, but if not I have a very high quality modern camera and lens which would serve you well for years to come. This is also a practice in nerve system somatic rested works where we call it orienting we look around and connect with our surroundings. It helps us get more grounded and more relaxed. Jesus help us and we also become cognitively aware of his healing he does not leave our brain out of it.
