Very cool. The Koga-ryu clan would have had their roots in the Omi prefecture , today it is called Shiga prefecture.. The most notable of Koga-Ryu would be that of Momochi Sandayu or his allias he used, Fujibayashi Nagato. The large lake, is Lake Biwa and is the largest fresh water lake in all of Japan. Iga-ryu obviously came from the Iga prefecture and the term for them Iga-mono' Hattori Masanari being the most famous of the clan. Lots of history there from the late 1500's with the Tokugawa clan becoming Shogun. There were basically only the two professional clans that would be later hired by Daimyo's. Oda Nobunaga would later invade the Iga province and destroy these organized clans and so the survivors fled to the Kii province. Just a minute bit of historical tid bits for those interested in the Koga and Iga clans.

You were saying here that ashikaga shogunate never leaves ther own province but when i played it co op with my friend i dont know if it gliched or its very rare but they did take a province and had there second army in the other provinnce so it was kinda easyer to take kyoto

lol i went to my friends house to play this game i picked the chosokabe and the hattori ,takeda, and the hojo were the3 biggest clans other than me then the hattori got ganged up be them lol i gotta wait till this weekend till i can finish that campaign

You realize you’re commenting this on a several year old video, I’ve been skipping the cutscenes for years. I just let them role the first time I played each clan on the channel, of which this campaign was one.

I have not been able to get into any total war games....i am more a fan of everyone starting equal and building your empire as you go kind of guy....it always annoyed me that i felt like i was coming into a half played game with multiple territories already occupied with 20-50 year old leaders...I HATE THAT!!!! but the Hattori start with one province and that makes this game playable for me and is my first playable total war game, imo. Now hopefully i can branch into other entries in the series :P
I just got the game and i main hattori, so upset at seeing this demand a single payment thing lol. this does feel like a cheat, but it makes sense i guess if you're already allied with the original shogunate
@@MrSmartDonkeyLPshit I need it tbh. Trying everything the 'right way' just gets the kitabatake, hatakeyama, and the ikko ikki against me. I've literally lost like 10 or more campaigns with two armies 3k and over converging on me at the same time. Seems unfair when they aren't even allies :/
No mods, if I did, I would've mentioned it. It's not terrible in this game, it does lower growth, but the money you get from it is usually worth it. However, if you switch between very high and normal taxes too many times in a row you'll get a penalty to growth that's a lot worse than normal. It's called something like 'unruly taxes' or something along those lines.

Basically the way taxes work is you get a certain % (depending on tax rate and Metsuke's) of the total wealth of a town. So let's say a town has 1500 wealth, and you have a 30% tax rate in that town, you earn 450 koku from that town each turn. Growth changes the total wealth of a town, so say your growth is -3, you lose 3 of your wealth each turn. So the town would go down to 1497 wealth next turn, 1494 the turn after and so on and so forth. So if you keep your taxes high, eventually all your towns will grow so poor that high taxes won't make you that much money anyway. Some say growth isn't too important but I disagree, even when a campaign doesn't last more than 100 turns, it's still worth keeping growth high in towns. Even though I use VH taxes in some of my early Let's Plays I would advice against it now unless you absolutely need the money and are about to go bankrupt.

In my experience yes, they'll use it to walk up to your town before declaring war so you don't get much of a chance to respond either.

It’s basically an exploit and I haven’t done it in any of my campaigns for the last like 5-6 years or something for that reason.

Buy the DLC.
