Very true, Milan is full of outstanding examples of different and beautiful architectures, it would take days if not weeks to spot them all and hunt the most beautiful ones for some nice clips. One day maybe .... :-)
Excellent footage from the EOS M camera, truly a great little video camera I really like your slow pans and movements as it avoids all that judder when you move too fast, fantastic well done
Yeah, unfortunately that's the drawback about the EOS M camera, it really needs slow pans and movements. Also rolling shutter is pretty heavy, like in the almost final clips with the tram crossing the frame, clips I decided to leave nevertheless as it's the iconic symbol of Milan (my native home town). Glad you enjoyed that and... thx for watching! :-)
Hi, all clips have been slighlty corrected first in MLVApp (exposure, WB, contrast, gamma, shadows, sharpness etc) and then exported in ProRes 422 HQ for editing in DVR. A LUT was then applied in post on the timeline for color grading. ISO was left at the lowest possible value (200) as the clips were shot in mid-afternoon but under a still rather harsh and heavy sun-light (I also used a variable ND filter to compensate, thus preserving the aperture value I intended to use mostly). Hope this helps and... thx for watching 🙂
Hi, the fact is: I have literally hundreds of different LUTS, testing them all, especially without much in depth (limited) knowledge on colour grading is a time consuming task. So, I just tried out a bunch of them and selected one that matched the mood I wanted to give to the video. As one (moderator) on MagicLantern FB page also said in his comment, the video has a nice 80s vibe in it, which was therefore a thumbs up for him. In other circumstances I would have chosen a different colour though.
Great job ! Ya can't go wrong with architecture. So many flavors of design..

Eccellente lavoro con la M. Come ti dissi la location meritava un sopralluogo. Ottima la musica e la color.
Are you edit the video (colors, contrast or anything else) or as it is? and what about the ISO?
