  • Welcome friends! Let's learn how to make game art and game UI with...wait for it...Figma! Most game artists use Photoshop, but not everyone has the patience or the hefty fee to pay for Adobe.

    I just found your channel and i'm impressed. You gave the inspiration i was looking for. I'm going to see all your past videos and hope to see more in the future. You're a very talented artist and programmer. Cheers from Brazil!

    I also use Figma for everything. Better way to use Figma is to create components, variables and local styles. So, you can easily create variations or change the styles. And also auto layout.

    That was awesome and really informative. Do you then use this as a reference to go-to something like UNITY or are you able to pull assets from here and bring them into UNITY?

      Thank you! It depends on the project, generally I like to use as a reference just because it's more flexible (and doesn't require Unity to load a lot of graphics) once you get it set up. For mobile game UI like this though I would probably just import, since there's so much detail that it would be really hard to replicate in Unity. Cheers!

    Hi, can you make video specifically about importing assets, please?/ I know you have already one, but it doesn't seem to be working every time. For example, what is the difference between importing as blender file and fbx, baking textures and extracting them from folder? There doesn't seem to be a universal method, which baffles me. I feel like it should be a pretty straight forward process. Thank you.

      I was having this same problem too. Being frustrated with my model when I would export a simple model from Blender into Unity. What I do is make sure my model in Blender, is damn near perfect (all the faces filled etc.) then when I export it out using Blender, In Object Mode, select your object and and click File=>Export=>FBX. A export window will come up and under Include: Check selected objects and highlight Mesh. Leave scale at 1.00. Check Apply Unit and Use space transform. Under Geometry: Select normals only and check: Export Subdivision Surface and Apply Modifier. Click Export FBX. Find your file ware you saved it. And import it in Unity. It should show up in your objects panel in Unity faces textures and all.

      I've been meaning to do this, soon I promise! 🙏 You're right though, it's something that feels like it should be way easier than it is.

    How i can learn C++ or C# or C fast ?

      buy a book for the language, and go through it.

      To learn the language it is not a big problem. The biggest problem I encounter is when exactly use the right methods/solutions and also there is lots of more knowledge for example vectors. So you cannot learn it "fast" because of the "side" knowledge. Just start learning and keep it going.

      Also if you want to learn it properly, learn the syntax first. Then it will be much better when practicing.
