    Rick Barry is the 7th best free throw shooter in NBA history. It works.
    Can you imagine baseball pitchers finding a pitch that works and than nobody else does it out of fear of how it looks? Wouldn't they rather be successful than fail at something over and over again?

  • @Goldenblade14

    I did this in high school my senior year, and it improved me from 65% from the line to over 80%. It does help keep you from overshooting.

    • @spitngames6225
      @spitngames6225 7 лет назад +1

      Ronald Haywood yeah sure it may help for those who struggles on the free throw line. but it's like saying you could just use old brick phones to make calls out in public. it's embarrassing

    • @haywood0457
      @haywood0457 7 лет назад +17

      SpitnGames your point is true, but that's also where basketball culture has problem. At the end of the day, if you're shooting underhand and making 80-90% of your FTs who really cares. All that should really matter is the end result and are you producing. I personally believe a lot of players are doing themselves a disservice by not at least trying this. Especially the ones shooting less than 60%.

    • @IrrelevantKing
      @IrrelevantKing 7 лет назад +22

      SpitnGames The form itself may be embarrassing, but you know what's more embarrassing? Bricking free throws with the game on the line. If it works, use it.
