The song needs to be re-mixed, bring the guitars forward, and push the bass back. It sounded like it had all the right ingredients but not the right portion of said ingredients. I almost thought my earbuds were messed up or something

Wow, never thought I'd say this but the original was actually better..... This isn't "bad" but for some reason there is no edge to this song... Its way too soft to be "take me higher". Still a big fan but this isn't it guys. sorry.
Only the 2nd time I've ever said that..but you're correct.
I'd say the mixing ruined this thr guitars and base line are washed out and can't be discerned. And typically they shine in this department.
