Hey guys! We just wanted to come on here and say thank you for all the support, we noticed a lot of comments about tagging or not crediting the great Tracy Chapman! We’re aware this is her song and we all grew up jamming this masterpiece! We apologize for not crediting her name, it was a simple mistake and didn’t mean anything by it. We saw that Luke Combs did a cover of this and thought perfect, we love the original song and we’ve recently been very into country music so we thought let’s do Luke’s version! No ill intent at all. That irritated me too. Give credit to Tracy. She worked immensely hard & her emotions in this song, you still feel listening to it in 2023.
It genuinely heartbreaking to see Luke Combs credited at all. You don't see someone saying they covered Jimi Hendrix All Along the Watchtower.
The honest truth is having Luke combs tagged will get it more views. I agree Tracy did an amazing job on this song and deserves all the credit. But when you're on RUclips and tiktok and want views this is smart marketing.
