Thank you. Unfortunately, I’ve lost it. I have lost a lot of orchids this winter and I think this was mostly down to my being seriously ill from February to May last year and unable to give the more tricky plants my usual level of care.
I really learn a lot from your videos when you are actually paying attention to the camera work. Please, please oh, please. If you're going to make videos, please make them so that we can see what's going on! I know that I can stand to learn a lot from you...
@@anndriggers6660 guilty as charged, I’m sorry to say. The trouble is that I can’t see what the camera is taking while I’m videoing. Thanks for the reminder.
@@anndriggers6660 thank you! They’re made more of a record of my experiments for me than anything else so it’s a real bonus if they help others as well.
I know they’re a tricky orchid for many people but this one has done well until I fell ill and it probably didn’t get the individual attention it needed.
@@Rockdoc2174 I think you just have to get lucky and find one that doesn't act up the moment you even think about repotting 😁My shop even sells them mounted !
@@YnseSchaap that’s true for a great many orchids. There are very experienced members of the East Midlands OS that can’t keep Phalaenopsis, believe it or not! It’s luck when we buy a good plant and luck that it survives while we learn how to keep it in our conditions.
@@Rockdoc2174 I'm one of those that can't keep Phals alive but I think I got a few that will actually last 😁 (it's mostly that complex supermarket stuff that never makes it)
@@YnseSchaap most of mine are supermarket plants but the few named plants I have are the strongest, I’d say. My equestris just ticks along and my mannii isn’t much trouble, either. My monster, which you’ve seen in videos many times, Pink Twilight, has got so big I can’t keep it on a windowsill any more and it has to put up with conditions in the conservatory. In theory it should be suffering because it gets both cooler and hotter than they’re supposed to like but it seems happy enough. We all have orchids that don’t do well for us. With me it’s the Odontoglossum-based hybrids, Miltoniopsis and other cool-growing, humidity-loving ones. I don’t even think about them now. To buy them, lovely as they are, knowing they’ll be dead in 2-3 years is just a waste of money.
I find ur videos most informative than any other on Psychopsis out there ❤👍👍👍

@@Rockdoc2174 what can you do. You needed to look after yourself. But i like that you describe what u did and what worked and not 👍

Not happy......the bloody things die just by looking at it 🤣 I tried them three times, repots are a nightmare
