I haven't visited every country on earth, but so far Italy is my favorite. I did an inter rail around south Europe back in 2011 when I was 21 years old. The moment I crossed the France-Italy border on the train and got out in Ventimiglia... words cannot describe the beautifulness, the magic of that moment. I don't watch movies anymore, but this makes me want the picture to come alive and see a story about a rich, spoilt American-Italian boy in the 1960s. He's on holiday in Italy, to visit his rich grandmother with his family, when he meets a sweet natured, poor village girl who loves her life and thinks he has no substance. Despite his parents' threats and the scorn of his high society, they fall in love, all set to this music. Dreamy! The song changed, and I imagined the end of the movie, where they're lazily living by the aqua seashore in a cute little village house, chickens pecking the ground, as they have breakfast outside. His parents disowned him, and he's making a living by working for his father-in-law ... making & selling gelato (lol!), but the happy couple are happy indeed. He pours her coffee, lounges back to continue reading and puts his feet up next to hers. Without a word, they "play footsies" ever so slightly. And keep reading. A horn beeps, their eyes flash to meet. He checks his watch, frowning. "They're early." "Good," she says, and stretches her hands down beside her, lifting up a baby. "Come meet your uncle and aunty!" Oh, dear, I have to stop. I want to write this whole script. The music, the setting, the 60s fashion, the upside down Cinderella story ... Probably so cliche, but I'd watch this movie a million times.
I play this at least once a week and everytime I look at the image, I kinda get sad , that the moments the people in the picture had are long gone and now they are all either dead or old now. We have a brief moment here and those pictured were young once and its all come to pass. The music just adds so much more melancholy to it, but also a positive vibe too.
The first few seconds, my whole body frose, my jaw slacked as I stared at the screen, and I said, "Oh," in a whisper. I'm entranced by this luscious beauty in my ears. Never make it stop.

playing this in the winter kinda just hits pretty well ngl
3 months later and im still listening lol
All this wonder you still live in Italy. it’s all in our heads, it’s about mentality 💛
Music that hits emotion in a very honest and uncontrived way. Music of imaginative dreamers and poets. It takes time and intuition to create such musical compositions!!
I'm gonna cry, this is SO beautiful! thank you
this is my favorite playlist! studying, cleaning, hosting, going for a walk, etc. would LOVE a longer version :)
Hey Maddie, thank you for the comment! There's an extended version already out in the channel or you can check the description of the video for the Spotify longer version!
@@h0axy thank you so much for letting me know! by longer version, i mean hours long 🤣 but thanks again!
@@maddiepeck8 that might take a while to research but thank you for the feedback 😅
"...endless summer possibilities..." I'm feelin it.
it's gonna be a good summer Kathleen :)
ugghhh, piccioni is SOOOO underrated, we need more people to listen to his music 👐
(I'm forcing my mum to enroll me in violin/trumpet lessons so that I could play his songs 😭😭)
I agree!! ahaha best of luck in your lessons !
Imagine where society could be if this is what played at grocery stores and dentist offices instead of the usual drivel we’re forced to listen to
Представьте себе, что в России именно такое общество. У нас запрещено в общественных местах включать раздражающую музыку. У нас в любом супермаркете играет спокойная, красивая музыка 😊
@@Санянечкинне во всех. Тоже раздражающая есть
You dont know how big i smiled when i heard that Amore Mio Aiutami was first.
Бог, дякую за музику і слух
it is a gift to be able to hear these masterpieces!!
Que bella música que recuerdos más gratificantes
This is so good, perfect for a lazy afternoon. My fave Piccioni is Eros In Hiro from the Bora Bora soundtrack - another languid, beautiful tune.
I love Italians. Coming from a Mesopotamia family born in the U.S.A
