How do volleyball players know when to rotate? How do they know who is supposed to serve? What are the scoring rules? If you are new to the game, volleyball mechanics can seem a little confusing. In this video, I break down how volleyball works... I go through the flow of the game, and when to switch from serving to passing, as well as when to rotate to determine who serves next. I also discuss volleyball scoring rules, and the important detail of having to win by 2 points. The mechanics of volleyball are critical to understand if you are interested in playing indoor volleyball, and this tutorial should help you feel much more confident!

2. Does serve change at deuce?(like table tennis)

Yes, this is how the scoring works internationally as well. At 24-24 (or deuce) everything stays the same.

Can blocker use continues 2 touches...1st for block & 2nd for clearing that ball ?

Yes they can... this is the case in both indoor and beach volleyball. In indoor, the block touch does not count as one of the 3 contacts. In beach volleyball, the block touch does count as one of the 3 touches.

Match pint is when a team is about to win
Let’s say we have 2 teams: A & B
If A:B is 24 to 22, because A will be winning the game if they score again, so A will be at match point
Let’s say if B catches up, deuce the game, and both teams continue to score
And at a point when A:B is 29 to 28, A is still at match point because A will win if A scores again

In my opinion, an attack is anytime someone swings when they are jumping. A free ball is anytime the ball is sent over without a jump. Does that make sense?

Their is match of 21 points...Team A 18 points & Team B 20 points.....If team A score continue 3 points and make it 21-20....Is this ok or Game ends at 22 points ???

The game doesn't end until someone wins by 2 points, whether it would be 22-20 or even 38-36. Somehow someone has to be 2 points ahead at the end.
