As with many teachers, I am learning to use this tool so I can teach on line. Watching tutorials such as yours has been a lifeline as many of use were just thrown into an online teaching environment with zero training or support, so thank you for what you're doing!
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials I agree with Kori. You are making a difference for the entire humanity and I am not exaggerating! Just like you say, you teach things in a way that seem so easy! Great teacher of teachers. This is just the second video I watch from your collection. I am going to try Loom, but I have a question: which platform are you using for your tutorials? I am amazed at how easy you go back and forth from Loom to your other platform. I liked how you were the main screen because watching you speaking helped me absorbed the concepts, and then what you were sharing was the secondary screen. How do I achieve that? Loom sees to put the speaker in a very little circle. Thank you for your time!
Honestly, I subscribed to your channel a couple of days ago and in only 3 videos I've discovered so many useful online tools. And it's not just that, it's the way you present everything. Most valuable RUclips channel find of the year!
Thank you! I'm just starting to use Loom and this was very helpful. I will be using Loom to record read alouds to keep kids reading over the summer months.
Great! Books are so important and students any age love listening to their teacher read. It's been the most successful use of recording in our primary department.
Second grade teacher here in New England trying to make lessons for Ready-Math. I started in Classrooms without any knowledge of these additional tools, and spent weeks trying to make simple pdfs and worksheets that the kids could type on. Half of each sheet was for directions. Now, I can record mini-lessons, tips, offer advice, etc. - thank you!!!!!! Great video!
Thank you! Glad you liked the video. That's amazing to hear you are able to apply all those tools and skills to impact students learning and understanding!
It is one thing to know and another, very different, to know how to teach. You know how to do both and excellently. Congratulations! And thank you very much for sharing.
Thank you so much! I'm an elementary teacher whose district has never done eLearning and now we have to figure it out on our own and quickly. This has been VERY helpful. God Bless you!
Thank you for your clarity. This is my first experience with LOOM, so I've watched numerous videos to learn. Yours was the clearest in explanation; to me. Thank you.
Just diving into Loom on a colleague's advice. I'm a World Languages teacher and I'm finding your tutorial very helpful. I'll try to record my first lesson following your instructions. Thank you!
Superb! I tried OBS studio, but it was so difficult to manage and even the classroom screen was not functioning smoothly along with it. Now I'm definitely tey my hands on loom. Thank you so much for the video!
You did a great job at explaining how to use this tool. Thank you for making and sharing this video! I am going to use Loom for some of my elementary school lessons. May God bless you.
Hi! You are a life-saver! You really made my day brighter. You have no idea about the number of things I had to do in order to record a lesson... Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video! I have been so nervous about teaching completely virtually this year, but your video has taught me how to use Loom in such a simple, clear-cut way....I'm definitely feeling more comfortable with this option now :)
Thats amazing to hear. Once you've made a few videos it will get much easier. Loom is an amazing tool and will really help you produce valuable content for your students. Glad I could help a little bit.
Thank you for the Teacher Training Video on how to create and share a LOOM. In this new age of E-Learning this will be an efficient way to engage with my students.
You are super talented with making instructional videos! Thank you so much; I will be sharing this video with my team, who all need to learn how to use Loom in our Music Department. Best wishes, Luke (Melbourne, Australia)
I am so thankful for this tutorial! This has been more helpful than most PDs that I've attended! Please continue helping teachers, so that we can better prepare our students! I am extremely grateful for your knowledge and expertise.
Hi There. This come in so timely for our Home base learning during this pandemic. I am excited to try it out and share with my school. I am an educator. Thank you for your generosity in sharing this. I look forward to your next videos. Cheers!
Great to hear that! Make sure you've got the notifications enable so you get the latest videos. Hope you find them helpful in this journey of home based learning.
Because of COVID, we are doing distance learning at my school. Our principal introduced us to Loom just yesterday, and I am intrigued. I teach French and photography. For some reason, my photography students can't seem to be able to read an assignment and know what to do. But if I can explain in words and show examples, they get it. I've been worried as to how I might do that until now. It's going to take a bit of work, but I think Loom will do what I need. Thanks for making it simple and easy.
Thank you. I really appreciate hearing about your experience. I'm sure you will find, after having used Loom a couple of times, that it gets easier each and every time you make a video. Stay safe!
Thank for your very clear explanation on how to use this complete tool nowadays when it's so necessary to teachers to handle remote teaching strategies. Regards from Argentina. I would like to add how I use this tool: I weekly create material in Google Slides, upload it to Classroom and record a brief video of me visiting the new material, as I were in front of my students, showing them the contents. I find it very exciting!
I use Screencast-O-Matic 2 when I do my videos, but maybe I will try Loom now after your tutorial. As a teacher all tools that are without cost is most welcome. Thank you for yet another excellent tutorial!
Love Loom! Have been using it for a few years and was just sharing it with my fellow teachers during this outbreak as we explore these types of options. Thanks for the great tutorial. This will be really helpful until I have time to film my own.
Awesome! I teach at a public school and at a university so this tool is very helpful during this unprecedented time. I'm doing a lot more online teaching than I've ever done. So thank you again for teaching me how to use this tool!
Very clear explanation..I want to know whether we can record the video part by part. That is once I give lecture for 5 minutes, I like to stop recording and again to resume recording from where I had left out. Please say whether we have this option in loom.
Thank you for this clear explanation. I have been championing the use of Loom for the teachers in my district. I have used some of your other videos to help them also. I think yours are the best!
This was a very helpful video. I now have the confidence to try recording on Loom to create my flipped classroom lessons. Thank you for your help! God bless!
couple of questions: 1. how are you zooming in and out of the screen recording? are you editing in final cut or doing that right in loom? 2. how are you shrinking the screen and having yourself and the screen recording demo on the same screen? hopefully you understand my questions haha
Excellent thanks so much - we are starting to build new online learning sessions for trainee science teachers ... Loom looks excellent for this and for their virtual classrooms
This seems like a great tool. Other options for creating screen recordings is using QuickTime on a Mac and using PowerPoint on a PC. PowerPoint has a feature to insert a screen recording. Once the recording has been made it can be saved as a media file.
I always appreciate your tutorials. You get right to the point, your presentations are well organized and easy to follow, and I always learn something useful. Thank you!
Thanks. Your video was very informative. I have been using Snagit for recording my screen. I also used OBS a few times. I like the fact that Loom has the highlighting feature and many features I didn't know about before watching your video.
Using for my real estate agents. This way I can teach them how to write a contract once, use the MLS, etc and I dont have to take a phone call a day on the same training. Here we go! Thank you for the help! Kori
