A lot of this vid comes my discussions with Mike, and also some of my own opinion. If you want to support or check out Mike's future project, you can see it all here: reveilleshortfilm.com/

Really sad news, must've watched the original video over one hundred times back in the day and as sad as it is to know it's over, I'm glad that we've got such good quality videos to enjoy that did end up completed. All I can say is thank you Michael and everyone that worked on the series for the quality content. Not sure if Michael is making an actual announcement on his channel it whatever but since this is the only place I'm aware of the news I'll leave the comment here .

I asked him about bloody Omaha and AP
He told me that he still loves BO and wishes to create it one day, but he is more focused on current project and will put BO on hold.
Then followed that up by telling me "I have sadly grown out of AP, I wouldn't except a sequel."

Well said Moe, PA maybe over but this is a opportunity for new creators to flourish and crank out there own projects instead of army men being totally rapped around PA. i also strongly agree with your statement of why creators deserve support for there different projects and and concepts. I could tell Akkerman was getting nowhere with advertising his concepts to the PA community so a farewell was indeed fair. I wish Akkerman the best of luck on Reverllie and I really enjoyed his concept art of Allied Kingdom/Spectors. (Too bad that didn’t go anywhere). And good luck to you on your future concepts, ideas, and projects.

This is what I still suffer with Qore World!
Seems Akkerman suffered a similar predicament that I suffered with my fangame. I canceled my game in 2016 and wanted to move on to greener pastures - Qore World and it's projects.
But each I upload a video or announce a new game, I still receive comments urging me to revive the fangame, or "what happened to that game". Feels as if my works are ignored, sometimes deliberately in favor of that fangame. I resented this so much that I don't even want to mention the game name itself anymore, (that reason and traumatic memories).
I just want to focus on Qore World now, and I'd wish fans and enthusiasts would seek value into that instead, few of the games even shares elements from my fan game. Qorena may not be Army Men, but it is still plenty of fun to play with friends, or even offline with bots. Even better, campaign is coming soon to the game, and depending on player retention and appreciation, mod support much later.

Honestly, it ended in the right way. As it is, The Prisoner Operation, Hedge Base and The Sabertooth work fantastically as a trilogy. And the unmade stuff works as great ancillary media and background lore, making Plastic Apocalypse a setting, in the same way as Warhammer 40,000. To have created a fairly open setting from a fun summer project from over a decade ago is amazing!
Reveille looks like it'll be brilliant, there's no reason for Michael to be stuck doing the same thing forever. He's like Gerry Anderson, Plastic Apocalypse was his Thunderbirds, Reveille will be his Space: 1999. And I wish him all the best.

But there is still a community out there who is also making just as good content out there as Michael once did. As much as we all hate to admit it, we have to let go of the past and keep moving forward. This also means checking out other great creators such as myself, blackstar, green soldiers productions, imc, and so many others. Now this does not mean we forget the legacy of mike. We can still remember and honor his commitment for creating such a great community. But if we are to really grow as one community, then we need to let the past be the past, and forge a better future. At least with plastic apocalypse I know that it wasnt for corporate greed.
How I found your channel was getting a suggestion by RUclips for a armymen animation (I think it’s called the New super tank) and being like: huh… this reminds me of PA. And seeing your comment I was like, maybe he has something like this. And then finding this video. It’s bitter sweet but that’s life.
Hopefully one day a group of creators might come together and maybe be guided by Mike.

Honestly I understand for me it's with games I really enjoy playing fps shooters and people watch me for 1 thing and unfortunately it makes me think they only do things for what they want . But I do say it should be balanced and done the right way
