Can you say more about the high side mosfet drive?

This DC to DC converter uses the push-pull converter topology and as such doesn't use any high side switch. Therefore there is no need for high side MOSFET driver circuit. But for the low side drivers I am using the MIC4422 datasheet @ www.mouser.com/ds/2/268/mic4421-22-778617.pdf

Hi i am building the same circuit, but input voltage is 11v and output is 380v.
I am getting MOSFET turn off spike which destroys my circuit all the time.
Using irf3205 fet. Switching frequency of fet is 25khz. Snubber circuit added but no use. And transformer is 4+4 turns primary now, tried 3+3 also. Designed for 600w
MOSFET is getting thermal runaway after connecting 50 or 100w load. Gate signal is clean.

Is your transformer a high frequency transformer capable of operating at 25kHz? What core material are you using? Also which side is the snubber circuit connected (11V side or 380V). Also do you have bulk input capacitance? If you do what value is it?

Smith Kerona transformer is EE 42/21/20 and it is good to operate up to 100khz.
      Input capacitance is Elna 16v 2200uf x3
      Irf3205 x2 per side.
      Snubber needed for primary side..

Make sure to have snubber circuit on both sides of the transformer (specially right across drain and source terminals of your MOSFETs). Here is a good application note on how to design snubbers from TOSHIBA toshiba.semicon-storage.com/info/docget.jsp?did=13416 starting on page 12. As seen on the schematic at beginning of the video, I have an RC snubber for the MOSFET switches and RCD snubber on the primary of the HF transformer. Also make sure your IRF3205 are not counterfeit MOSFETs!
BTW what is the maximum input rms current at full load for your converter?

Also another issue could be your HF transformer. You may have too much leakage inductance if you haven't constructed the transformer correctly.

Have you tried SiC mosfet?e.g. IFXH220N06T3, it's 60v, 4m ohm rds, but 220A peak current. Can it reduce from 4 pair to only 2 pair by using SiC mosfet to increase its efficiency?

Those are very expensive MOSFETs and also aren't available through my local parts supplier.

Hi , I am working on the same concept , will you be so kind to send me the clear schematic with parts nummers and trafo winding data , my requirements is 24VDC input to 310 VDC output . I will appreciate your assistance
