It's been a while and I no longer have the car but if you look at 1:42, it appears to be clipped over the existing mirror. It will depend on which unit you buy I guess.
I'm trying to put a camera in a 2015 C4. I connected the camera power to the reverse light power cable...but this caused an issue. Now when I put it in reverse, the camera works for 5 seconds then it turns off and I get a warning message to check the reverse light bulb. The car obviously senses the power draw is higher than it should be and shuts the system off....we're only talking about a few watts. Now I have to find another way to trigger the camera.
The reverse light power is only for the camera trigger on/off. The camera power comes from a switched 12v. Watch from 29 sec. and you will see where I explain selecting the power and earth. This power cable is run all the way from the cig lighter power to the camera at the rear. Hope this helps.
At the end of the video it shows the connection at the reversing light housing. Access is from beneath the rear of the car. Go to the reversing light. Lay below the car and look up and you will see the reversing light housing and the cables entering it.
@@Jess-ib5pj it's been too long and I no longer have the car but I don't believe I removed anything external. I think the reversing light lives above that cover. You will probably have to raise the car to get a better look.
Hello Lin, where did you mount the display? Did strap it over the mirror?

Nice one!

Hi there,
Could you please explain, how did you access the wires of the reverse light please?
Many thanks in advance!
Jesse

Thanks for your clarification Lin 👍
Lin on a second note, do you know how to pull the ash colour plastic panel, that houses the reverse and fog light, off the bumper?
Thanks Lin 👍
