I enjoyed your garden tour. We share the same sentiments about feeling closer to God, in the garden. It's my haven of peace❤Thanks for mentioning St. Elizabeth 🇯🇲😄my parish💃🏿💃🏿Happy gardening my dear. God bless you and your family, bountifully.
Hi Marcia, it's a ton of work but truly a place of peace. Thanks so much for watching

Love green banana and salt fish, your garden tour is as close to home as I will get too in a while, TFS...
Love that too! Thanks so much. I'm trying to recreate all my island favorites right here😊
@backyardfarmerpat Wish I could grow lots of that stuff in Zone 5B Iowa, but sadly 😥 I can't... I'll keep watching you, thanks
Watching from South Africa. We also call sweet potato - ubhatata in IsiZulu❤
Wow! From South Africa. Welcome any thanks for that info
Wow! Congratulations on the peaches and the grapes!!! Love it! Love the whole garden! 💚💚

Beautiful garden! The peaches and grapes are outstanding!!!
Thanks so much
What type of grapes. So instersted
@@amysizemore5287 white grapes. I bought the bare root at Walmart
Place Gutter guards around Pineapples once they are full size. I bought the larger 5.9" expandable gutter guard downspout extension last year and all 3 Pineapples survived the critters. I was able to allow pineapple to fully ripen before removing. No damage from critters. Bought them on Amazon
That's an awesome tip! Thanks so much! I have to check that out!
Pimento and starfruit!!! 🎉
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching
Epic garden tour
Thanks so much
I enjoyed the tour 🥰🙌🏽….I’m happy to see that your papaya trees are healthy now! Do you know the name of the varieties of your papaya trees?
Thanks Shannie. No I didn't. These have been in my family for way over 20 years. All are grown from seed from the original plants
Yes! Bay Rum! 😊
😁
Hi! I have to tell you that I truly enjoyed and appreciated this video … I’m in Tampa. I’d love to order some of your plants/clippings. I’m trying to grow some things… have to split my banana niw… too many popped up in the bucket.
My lemon tree died but I’m wondering if it can be revived…. My other plants came back…. New subbie…. Will watch your other videos. I’m soooooo happy that your channel popped up🌷
Will order some plants from your site… I hope the ones I want are there🥰
Peace and Blessings 🌴🌴🌷🌷🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Lorena,
Welcome to my channel! Thanks so much for watching. I had a key lime in a pot that never came back too but my lemon seems to be doing well. Yes, check out my store
Backyard I looking for a yellow yam head to plant. How can I get it if FlORIDA?
Hi there, I'm not planting any this season. Best way is to buy a piece from Caribbean store and plant the head. If not close to a store, try Etsy
Hi Pat! I noticed in your video two mango trees you had mentioned Sweet Tart and Blackie that I'm actually looking to buy. I went to the Brevard Tropical fruit club tree festival held at Melbourne Auditorium and hosted by (Pine Island Nursery) on April 27. I bought several tropical fruit trees but I got there late and missed out on all the different mango trees they had because they were sold out, and I'm just curious to know where did you get your Sweet Tart and Blackie mango trees to buy😊
Hi Frankie. Blackie mangos aren't sold anywhere from that I know. A neighbor gave me this seedling. I bought my sweet tart mango from Jamaica Farms. Check out the video I did recently on 20 acre farm. They have over 100 different kinds of mango trees for sale
@@backyardfarmerpat Thanks! Happy Mother's Day!
Hello Pat, where did you get the covers for the peaches 🍑? Thanks
I bought on Amazon. Here's the link

What is the best guava type for Fl weather. I enjoy watching your videos
Not sure what the best is but my Mexican pink guava beard fruit almost for the entire year. Constantly pushes out blooms year round and it's delicious
Thanks Pat
Good morning, I love your channel, where can I purchase the jamaican banana l? I would love to add to my small Forrest.
Thanks so much! Depends on where you live. You can get at a nursery or try Etsy
Here in florida, it's called Jamaican banana. Thanks again
@@msfruitful8445 try A Tree 4 Me in Sebastian. I know they had many bananas and plantain. Or call Jamaica farms in Port St Lucie
Hey Pat, how often do you water your plants during this season? Do you hand water or have drip irrigation?
Hi there, I have a sprinkler system that we run twice a week however the water definitely isn't going deep enough at all
Im having a hard time after mulching so heavily and recently went from hand watering to drip irrigation acclimating all my plants to the switch. At this point I don't know if I'm putting too much or too little water on the ground. Some plants are starting to show in their foliage changing color or looking sad. Even my guava tree the guavas stopped growing.
@@angeldearmas1331 I'm so sorry to hear. I think it's the heat at this point. I have a sprinkler system plus I hand water some plants but the leaves are burned up. I'm considering trying to add shade clothe over a couple that are looking really bad. Most of my trees are ok but more tender ones are suffering
Nice garden! im by the UCF area . I have grapes to when did you plant them? i get most my plants from lukas nursery
Hi there, I planted from bare root year before last. I've Heard of that nursery. I'll need to check it out one day
Pat where in Central Florida are you located? I see you have your zone labeled as 9B.
Palm Bay
Palm Bay is no longer 9B it has recently been changed to Zone 10A.
What you put on your gauva, my tree look dry lot of yellow leaf
I sprayed all my trees with liquid seaweed and aspirin to make healthy. Everything will look good after we get some rain m
I noticed Guava loves lots of water.
@@Carlos1075 really? Hmmm.
Can you eat callaloo without cooking it?
I don't eat raw but read that the very young tender leaves can be eaten raw
@@backyardfarmerpat I’ve only had it cooked, but was curious
Do you know callaloo is amaranth we are the only ones who call it callaloo
Yes I know. 😂
