Greetings from the Dominican Republic country, in my case I bought the mitsubishi montero version v60 xls year 2001, I bought it with a cast engine, the bottom part I installed the engine of the mitsubishi endevor year 2005 3.8, the same thing, my mechanic, an expert in mitsubishi, made an adaptation for me. I use the up and down manifold of the mitsubishi endeavor 3.8 engine it works perfectly very economical on fuel
great video thanks.....im intested in how the thing bolts in the auto bolt up and the wire harness not to mention the air con...have fun....but would drive better the 3.0 litre is slightly under powered with out a load ....i would never tow anything with it
What years Mitsubishi Delica is this suited to, did catch you saying what year yours is? Cheers. You are really good at this tutorial stuff mate, well done.
To be honest i’m not sure, think it was a 94. don’t think the year would matter, I know some are better / worse with regards to which ecu but talk to the guys at delica garage in aus they will sort you out and really know their stuff
Hey Fabbin... great videos you've produced on this transplant. I've got a question on another engine that is supposed to be easier that the 3.8 to drop in and it's one of these: Mitsubishi Magna V6 3.5L 6G74 1999 to 2005 Engine... What are your thoughts on using one of those? Cheers mate
Thanks mate, To be honest mate i don’t know, I think the attraction to the 3.8 is that they are cheap and powerful, maybe the 3.5 isn’t a big enough step up to be worth it? If I I did another one i’d probably v8 it, but the 6g75 hammers down low, so much torque
@@jackk1296 Thanks for the reply mate. Seems like the engines are going up in price... can't find anything as cheap as what you paid... usually at least twice the price with about 150k kms on them. And yeah, a V8 would definitely be the go with a build. Have you seen the one in New Zealand with a Toyota 1UZ VVTI V8 conversion? • 3.5K views
@@gforcesnetwork Are you looking for ones out of mitsubishi 380’s? I think there’s a 6g75 out of a higher spec car that people want more cash for. I initially got dudes asking 8-900+ but ended up getting lucky.
@@gforcesnetwork 1uz one is super cool but I wanted a quick fix, when i priced up the cost to fix the head gasket on the stock one, after machining parts etc, wasn’t worth it
Your videos inspired me to do this engine swap i have the 380 engine ready to go just waiting on the crossover pipe, my 3L engine is still running strong at 300000km with lots of redlining on sand and towing it just won't quit as long as you feed it plenty of fuel/oil and keep the cooling system in good nick have you been driving the van and have you had any issues with running lean with the 3l ecu, did you do any mods like piggy back ecu re-flash. Thanks
