Beautifully done. I had to use the living room as a studio because it is the biggest room in my apartment to do them. (smile)
Thank you! Did you manage to hide your supplies when not in use or were you happy to leave them out? I find it much more difficult to get painting when I have stashed everything away, but sometimes I’d rather the space looked more like a living room than a messy art studio 😉
I just recently found your channel and am glad I did. Thank you for sharing so generously about your process, your studio (yes it is a legitimate studio, and more organized than mine for sure), supplies, etc.
Glad you found me! I love sharing my process. I’m always so intrigued by other artists’ process too.
Well done and thank you much for sharing.👏🏻👋🏻
You’re so welcome!
Beautifully done! Thank you for showing us your space, it's gorgeous :)
Thanks so much! The difficult part is keeping it fairly tidy, since it‘s still our living room. But I‘m hoping to get a better space soon. Watch this space…
Very interesting and this has given me some good ideas so thank you very much.
Fantastic, I’m so glad to hear that!
Goodness! I've got a businesscard holder, that is a brilliant idea for it, thank you!
You are welcome 😉
Hi Jeannine, I rewatched your video looking for inspiration on how to organize my tiny art space. I saw you had a gelli plate that you said , you made yourself. Can you please tell me how you made it? I need big one which I can’t find in the market. Thank you.
Hi Nona. I can't remember where I originally found the recipe, but there are quite a few online, for example this one: kimherringe.com.au/printmaking/gelatin-plate-printmaking-recipe/
I also added a tiny bit of clove oil because it's supposed to make the plate last longer without going mouldy. I have since thrown it out though, cause it did start to smell quite funny.
It's great though cause you can save quite a bit of money making your own and, as you say, make it any size you want. Hope it works!
great tour! mine's in the livingroom as well
Thank you! Where do you keep your supplies? Also in cabinets? I also like the idea of having a trolley, but then it's harder to hide. That's why I got the Alex drawers.
@@jclosestudio ah ok. I have one of those shelves with the different colored bins like kids use. it works for me
I live in a super tiny one bedroom apartment and my living room is the biggest room and there is so much clutter.
@@amandalynnart I do find it difficult to keep the space looking fairly tidy. My best advice is to have as much storage as possible. And to declutter, but I’m pretty bad at that
Love the tour! 😍 I’m a bit curious what kind of medium do you use in 17:56 to make paint more fluid?
Thank you! I use Jackson’s Acrylic Flow Medium
www.jacksonsart.com/jacksons-acrylic-flow-medium-500ml?___store=jacksonsart_en&acc=2d00f43f07911355d4151f13925ff292
Alternatively you could use airbrush medium by any other brand.
You really prove that great art can be created from the dining table, I’m also painting from my kitchen table and have my children’s playroom filling with art supplies! What do you use to edit your videos? they are so beautifully done!
I’m sure your children love that 😉
It is a bit of a struggle sometimes to keep it still looking like a living room.
I’m using Final Cut for editing. The first one (Studio Makeover) I did on Davinci Resolve though. And years of watching RUclips videos have given me inspiration for little editing bits
Merci 🙏😊
😊
can the class art watercolor paper be found in the US? I'm always on the hunt for a large quanity of paper for a cheaper price
Cass Art is a UK only chain, the paper is their own brand paper. I checked their website and they are currently not shipping overseas. If you ever visit the UK you can pick up a pad to test it :) Which paper do you like to use?
