Hey everyone! We're really excited to have Mahesh on the channel as a personality! It'll be cool to show the more personal side of this incredible barber! He's got plenty of videos coming soon! So sit back, relax, and let the master take you on a journey of awesome knowledge! - Jack
I have a few cats that I hope to sit in their chair one day. Mahesh Hayward is one and George Bruno is the other. The bucket list of a bearded bastard I guess. Lol
When he says to leave some conditioner in he means the oils/balm right? Not like head hair conditioner. Because I've heard that we should not use head hair conditioner on the beard.
Alexandre Tunnermann he recommended a conditioner called r&b from Lush. I bought some yesterday all you do is after you've a washed your facial hair dab the beard dry and take a pea sized amount and rub it into your beard. You can do this 2-3 times a week to help soften your beard.
Mahesh should become a professional book reader. He is super relaxing to listen to! From now on just have him to voice overs for all the rest of you guys.
Hes a natural, not awkward, whatever mic setup hes using sounds amazing, only criticism is the ring lights reflecting in his glasses, but the lighting was great other than that. Nice video :)
So happy I stumbled by this guys videos. He is an absolute legend in the beard world. I have been inspired to start Yoga, drink Green Tea and become a vegan due to this man. What a legend keep up the good work.
FINALLY,a group of men that appreciate beards. I have always treated my beard with respect. Once I got it to grow down to my belt buckle, been keeping shorter lately. But you inspire me to let it grow lo g again. Thanks from a 60 year OLD FART.
Hey Mehesh! So great to see you on a video! If I ever make it across the pond, a stop at your shop is a must. Have a great day friend, and thank you for your expertise. Mike
Thank you Mahesh for the insight into your routine. Really like technique of comb working with the dryer in unison. Looking forward to more of your content. May your year ahead be blessed with Peace and Love
Merry christmas and a happy new year to all at beardbrand, I think that this was the first You tube channel that I started to watch on my journeys to beardom, and its always a go to , but I must say its great to have this fella Mahesh on the contributors , having a similar style beard as myself , its always good to hear advise that I can relate to , the comb techniques , well thats something that I will be doing , and the little bit of condition left in , another gem thank you , keep posting Mahesh you've great style love ya !
Great video. Can't wait to see more from Mahesh. I hope to see more tips from him in the future as his beard is very similar to mine. Specifically, what additional care does a long gray/white beard need. I have noticed that since I lost my color, the beard tends to be less curly, and much more brittle.
Fantastic video. My beard is about a year and a half old so it's very much like yours. What a great knowledge of beards you have and thank you for sharing with us. Cheers.
Aye mate thanks for the tips, as strangely as it seems the "comb the tip of the beard first" tip actually saved me from creating a LOT of knots in my beard, my hair is very coarse.
Hi mahesh I've been following you on u tube and all your great beard trims at your barbers shop . I myself have been growing my beard out for 8 months now and really want to come and let you shape my beard when I hit my goal of 12 months .I am really impressed with your work but will have to travel about 4hrs to get to your shop but know it will be worth it . Thanks for the great advice on beard care and keep up the good work will be phoning the shop in the near future to make an appointment with yourself. By the way say hello to Carlos from me he's doing a fine job .keep up the good work the pair of you. the advice beardbrand give is so helpful to a lot of new beards men.
Mahesh! You're awesome man. I know you were here in the USA in Austin, Texas; if you ever get the chance you should come to Orlando Florida! I as well as many others would love to have our beards trimmed/maintained by the best!
Soooooo, a quick thought. Everyone knows oil and water do not mix, so why put beard oil onto a wet beard? It’s not going to stay on the beard very well. Seems like a waste of oil. Love your products, temple smoke is the best.
Thanks Mahesh! Great video! Very informative. BTW, you've got a great beard and I love to watch you cut and hear you talk. You are informative and entertaining. I love your tattoos BTW and would love to hear the story behind them.
Great video! I really appreciate you sharing your expert advice and recommendations. You are a man to admire brother. Happy incoming New Year and Blessings to you and all at Beardbrand.
I don't get how dudes can comb so easily?? My beard is extremely curly and a bit rough considering I've only recently learned of real beard care. This was an excellent video and I'm looking forward to seeing if the drying technique helps straighten my beard up. Thanks brother!!
Great info. Stuff I didn’t know. What does your underbeard look like! The drying part with comb makes great sense. Hopefully I leave less soldiers in the sink.
I love the channel so much . I’ve seen a lot of videos with Master Roshi and he has a lot of really good tips for the beard and hair thnks you made me a better beards-men
Oh I never blow down my beard. I let my beard dry naturally. As my beard his drying I apply the beard oil. Also I don't comb my beard anymore, but brush it.
I love you Mahesh... I like the way you look, the way you talk, the way you make everything simple, fun and yet deep and meaningful... This is an awesome video guys thanks to you all @beardbrand and thank to you Mr. Hayward 🤗
Everytime I feel like shaving off my beard I come here to join my bearded brethren and leave feeling ashamed of such thoughts :D Thanks Beardbrand . I wish i could travel the 600 miles to get Mahesh to take care of of it too , wot a fella
+cam mciver We're really glad to have you in the community, man! You amongst some great guys, bearded and unbearded alike! And trust me, we all wish we could pay a visit to Mahesh's shop! - Jack
I have a question. I condition my beard with hard pressed coconut oil, doing what you said by not washing it all out. Is that okay? Also, I usually oil it after drying, not before. Is that wrong? What are the benefits of oiling it prior to drying? Cheers.
This is a question for anyone and everyone. I've had facial hair in one form or another for 30 years. I love having a full, thick beard but I live in a tropical climate and as I've gotten older I'm more and more miserable in the heat and humidity since I'm outdoors a lot because of work (right now it's 93-degrees out with 78% humidity). I now keep my beard trimmed pretty close about 8 months out of the year. Not enough to see skin, it's still full, but the length is only about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. I was wondering if anyone had any tips about taking care of a shorter, closer-cropped beard? I'm ashamed to say I was never one to keep balm and oil handy but I want to keep it healthier now. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers.
may i ask where ur barber shop is? id love to have my hair cut and some beard advice im actully tryin to grow it exactly the way urs is in this video thanks
how much beard oil should i use for a beard that is 3 months old and about an inch to 1 1/2 inch in length? Also thank you for all the tips on wash cycle and how to properly dry the beard!
Mahesh has some great tips indeed. My beard is almost 2 years old and slightly longer than his. I never have taken a dryer to mine I'm just way to scared to do any damage. The one thing I do disagree with Mahesh is leaving in conditioner. Although I've done this from time to time it seem that the dust we get around here tends to cling alot more. And then when I go to stroke my hair through the day it tends to be gritty and yes i've pulled out a few of my long hairs. Grrr thats frustration right there when you know you should stroke your beard but ....bad habits!
I have a question about when to apply the beard oil. Does very much of it stay in your beard after toweling it? Would it be any more beneficial after toweling off your beard?
Love that shirt Mahesh, it really accents your nice two tone beard. Would love to know where you purchased it!?!? But other than that love the helpful tips as usual, keep up the “master barber” videos.
You can use an average hair conditioner but we honestly don’t recommend that over something that’s made for beards. Facial hair is vastly different than head hair. - Jack
I use BB Beard Softener or Lush R&B daily as conditioners. Both great products. Avoid shampoos and conditioners that are for head hair as they are most likely going to contain parabens and other nasty ingredients. Best to go organic. I use BB shampoo or Dr. Bronner's castile soap twice a week, and on the other days I just rinse with a little water, towel pat dry, oil and blow dry. Then balm is optional if you have a longer beard.
Hey everyone! We're really excited to have Mahesh on the channel as a personality!

Awesome as always, Mahesh! Thank you for being here!
This is an amazingly educational video. Mahesh's delivery clear and captivating.

Today i bought myself my first beard oil and this video was a gift from heaven. Helped a lot !!
Mahesh is a brilliant speaker. Makes such a difference when someone does not rush what they are saying and aren’t saying ‘errrm’ every 10 seconds. 👌🏻
This was a much needed video, thank you Mahesh and BeardBrand!
By far the most helpful beard video I've seen since starting my beardsman journey over a year ago. Thank you Mahesh and Beardbrand!
Glad you liked it, man! Mahesh is the best!
- Jack
Hey Mehesh! So great to see you on a video! If I ever make it across the pond, a stop at your shop is a must. Have a great day friend, and thank you for your expertise.
Mike
Thank you Mahesh! Love watching you trim beards, but it's so great to see these kinds of videos. Looking forward to seeing you more!
Best Grooming tips video I've seen, hands down. Thanks Mahesh!
Excellent video. These are the vids we expect from BB. Well done.
Awesome video! Question - what about towel drying and air drying your beard? I'd rather not use a hairdryer (if I can avoid it...)
Thank you Mahesh for the insight into your routine. Really like technique of comb working with the dryer in unison. Looking forward to more of your content. May your year ahead be blessed with Peace and Love

You have a very soothing and relaxing voice. I wish you did books on tape.
Fantastic video. My beard is about a year and a half old so it's very much like yours. What a great knowledge of beards you have and thank you for sharing with us. Cheers.
Mahesh? Talking about beards? 12 whole minutes? Hell yeah!!! *grabs popcorn, strokes beard*

Mahesh! You're awesome man. I know you were here in the USA in Austin, Texas; if you ever get the chance you should come to Orlando Florida! I as well as many others would love to have our beards trimmed/maintained by the best!
Great video @beardedvegan. Lots of insight for we the less knowledgeable. Hope you and your family have a fulfilling new year.
His glasses are so trippy... loved it :D
Btw, that's the most beautiful moustache I've ever seen.
When I saw Mahesh's face on the video, I smashed that like button before it started

Silly question: you don't wash your beard everyday, but do you apply oil/balm everyday, or only after a wash?
Could listen to this man all day
Thank you very mucho Sir. We need to hear from you more often. Thank you.
Great video! I really appreciate you sharing your expert advice and recommendations. You are a man to admire brother. Happy incoming New Year and Blessings to you and all at Beardbrand.

I need to learn how to trim up a beard like that. Yours is the closest to mine that I've seen online so far
Great info. Stuff I didn’t know. What does your underbeard look like! The drying part with comb makes great sense. Hopefully I leave less soldiers in the sink.
Thank you Meehan. Always enjoy hearing what you have to say. Great insight and encouragement. I use the same techniques.
Thank you Mahesh!
Very wise man
First person I’ve seen putting oil on while it’s sopping and then pat it dry 🤔
I love the channel so much . I’ve seen a lot of videos with Master Roshi and he has a lot of really good tips for the beard and hair thnks you made me a better beards-men
Thank you Mahesh, really appreciate the tips and advise you have shared. Though I have a question, do you blow dry your hair everyday?
Great video but I have a question. Applying the beard oil while the beard is still wet... Won’t the oil and the water react against each other?
Oh I never blow down my beard.
I let my beard dry naturally.
As my beard his drying I apply the beard oil. Also I don't comb my beard anymore, but brush it.
Nice video, simple with good tips.
I've never used heat on my beard but might try just to shape the mostache.
Great video man. Thanks for the information and the fine job you did with delivery.
Really glad you liked it!
- Jack
So, when would you use beard butter?
I love you Mahesh... I like the way you look, the way you talk, the way you make everything simple, fun and yet deep and meaningful... This is an awesome video guys thanks to you all @beardbrand and thank to you Mr. Hayward 🤗
Maxime VELON he’s sensational isn’t he.

Great video...but the ring lighting ones not go with the glasses...
The eye halo from the cam lights is awesome lol
I have a question. I condition my beard with hard pressed coconut oil, doing what you said by not washing it all out. Is that okay?
Also, I usually oil it after drying, not before. Is that wrong? What are the benefits of oiling it prior to drying?

is it alright to use mens face wash to wash the beard?

Do a video on beard who grows in different directions please
What shampoo and conditioner should I use started growing a beard and I have zero idea about beard health and strength????
whats the barber shops name????
He said the heat opens the cuticle. Then he said when you blow dry down it closes the cuticle. Does he mean a cold blast? I’m a bit confused.
Those green circles in your eye glasses are kinda trippy.
how much beard oil should i use for a beard that is 3 months old and about an inch to 1 1/2 inch in length? Also thank you for all the tips on wash cycle and how to properly dry the beard!
Wow... Didn't knew Jean Reno has changed his profession!^^
Great video... thanks

I really like your channel, I learned a lot from that, I'm from Brazil.
Mateus Moreira why does everyone from Brazil that comment on social media always have to mention they’re from Brazil?
Não sei , deve ser por que brasileiro é babaca
I have a question about when to apply the beard oil. Does very much of it stay in your beard after toweling it? Would it be any more beneficial after toweling off your beard?

Can a brush be used instead for a shorter beard?

I can't wait Until I get grey in my beard looks absolutely brilliant. Great beard
thanks for the tip master barber
Thank you Mahesh.
Great video! Thank you for the tips.
Just curious, who do you oil the beard while it is wet and then dry it after working the oil through?
To get rid of excess water and/or oil.
do you dye the roots? as i have gone grey only 30, and wondered if it actually changes colour as it grows?
Great audio and content, its pretty much like an ASMR video.
You sir are a scholar and a gentleman.
This guy is insane. I wish I was down south! Do you guys know any barbers in Manchester of a similar calibre?
"Beard hair is basically public hair" Mahesh 2017
pubic*
Why did you announce this publicly?
Oh no he said what should remain unsaid
This guys is awesome a Cockney Dumbledore. Full of wisdom about beards
I never use hair dryer, I pat towel dry, then add oil and coconut oil to shape
Great insights thanks!
Thanks Mahesh. A simple, by the numbers, beard care guide. 🎯🎯🎯🎯
Awesome video with great tips. I love the old money beard oil and think I’m going to try the temple smoke next. Cheers
Excellent choice!

Hello I’ve been growing my beard For 14 months has it stopped growing now or will it carry on growing ????
