    It's so beautiful Miriam! Like slated stone pieces, will look incredible for the waterfalls & your island! I'm done with my village Miriam, I have my planner stored as pictures, ie snapshots of my actual scenes, lots of work to put it up & take it back down, i do in scenes, when I'm ready for the final setup mid Nov. everything will come back out, definitely have a ton of trees 😂 it's like my village eats the trees. I can't wait to see your final park scene!! I can only imagine how pretty your trees, paths, lakes will be !!! 😁

      Wow, that is amazing you are all finished up! Yes, isn’t it amazing how quickly villages eat up trees. Every single year, I make sure to add at least 12 trees.

    Hi Miriam. Let me tell you that I was so glued to my computer screen watching you put that wall together 😂. I was zoned in for real. Also, I'm gonna get some of that pink foam before the week is over. It looks smoother and easier to work with than the white foam is. I HAVE GOT TO GET THAT SCULPTING TOOL! Your village is coming along nicely. I have a few questions sis. How many different scenes do you think you will have in your 2022 village? Also, did you get the chance to get all new villages and village people that you ordered or has some of your orders been delayed because of availability issues? Well, keep up the good work sis. I wish you could do my village for me😀. I am so far behind, but I'm not gonna give up. Stay blessed love 😘👍💕💕

    • @MiriamsManner
      @MiriamsManner  Год назад +1

      Hey Sis, thanks so much! Yes, the pink foam is awesome and it is super dense.
      I know I will have at least 5 different scenes this year but I only have half of my village figured out. I still need to design the other half. 😂🤣
      I have mostly everything I want to put in my village so far. I think I want to incorporate a trolley this year but I don’t have that piece yet.
      I am so behind too, we can get caught up together. 😂🤣

    Miriam what a very ambitious project! Extremely time consuming but the result is fantastic looking. What was the total time for that stone border edge?

    • @MiriamsManner
      @MiriamsManner  Год назад

      Thanks so much Robin. I worked on this on and off for 2 weeks, probably about 8 hours total. That also includes the amount of time it took me to make the stones for the lake.

    Hi Miriam - Love your stacked stone look! I made a retaining wall for my harbor - but I used aquarium rock. It weighs a TON. Quick question - what do you use to stick down pieces that makes them easier to take off without damaging the surface they are sitting on? I've got several trees that I can't just stick into the styrofoam and I can't tell you how many times I've knocked them over! Tacky wax doesn't seem to be strong enough, but I don't think I want to use hot glue. Do you think a glue stick would work? Thanks for all of your suggestions. Oh! I just thought of something else. Shaper sheet works great for covering spotlights. I had some small pieces left over and they fit just perfectly. Of course they need to go in a snowy area, unless you're going to paint them. Looking forward to the next tutorial!!

      Hey Shirley, have you tried “zots”? You can typically find them in Michaels. They have them in different thicknesses. They have thin ones that would work well under the tree bases.
      Also, you could get floral pins, hot glue them to the base and then stick the floral pins in the styrofoam.

  • @dellapankow3646
    @dellapankow3646 Год назад

    So after you cut the styrofoam how do you make it hard? Do you put stones on it?

    • @MiriamsManner
      @MiriamsManner  Год назад

      Hello Della, the styrofoam I use is pretty dense, you don’t need to add anything to it if you don’t want to. Also, if you get the pink or blue xpf foam, that foam is extremely sturdy and hard to break.
      If you feel you need more support, then you could always use plaster strips to harden the foam.
      Does that help?

    Hi Miriam, do you know anyone in Los Angeles area who will design and set up a Christmas Village? I do three times a week dialysis and the rest of the days I am tired. I have a storage full of houses and figurines and trees and lights but I have not set them up yet at all.

      @@MiriamsManner i try to do something a little ifferent each year and you have given me a couple ideas. i meant no disrepect from my comment but i realize that it was disrespectful and i apologize. and the fact that you dont know what onlyfans is makes me like you even more lol cant wait for your next upload 😃

      We are the same in that respect. I have never recreated the same village twice. I like to do it different every year.
      I just looked up onlyfans based on what you just commented me. I asked myself “what is he apologizing for?” I see why now and I forgive you. Thank you for apologizing. 😁.
      Hopefully the next video will be out this week. See you then.
