I remember after Lenny was born, people on this channel were critiquing your parenting skills and giving way too much “advice”. Looks like you two are doing just fine judging by the smile on Lenny’s face. He’s so lucky to be living his life with two amazing parents.
I remember that - the amount of "just saying" advice got to the point where Riley had to say something about it at the end of one of the videos ... something to the effect of "If you can't handle what we're doing raising our son then I don't want anything to do with you."
Everyone parents there own way and every child is different and it’s never text book. They are brilliant parents Lenny is always happy 😊.
They are the BEST parents if I may say so. Contact with nature and being outdoors is incredibly important and rewarding for a child's development. Much better than parents who let the TV and the phone babysit their child for hours every single day.

A quick note on the bucket (Lenny filling it up and emptying it). Dr Montessori actually says that this is one of the most beneficial activities for 18-24 month olds. It's called 'transferring' and it allows children to understand space and volume - it's basically early geometry! Love your videos!!!

Our Dad was an actor and so were both his parents. Dan's Mom, Nana, used to read us poems such as "Disobedience" from "When We Were Very Young" by AA Milne. You'll have to read this one, it begins, "James James Morrison Morrison Weatherby George Dupree Took great of his mother, though he was only three." Nana would giggle almost every time she read that one. Oddly, I was thinking about that this very morning. It's amazing to see how much Lenny changes week by week, so much fun to watch!
@Martin Germann - I strongly agree about kids remembering being read to. I remember when my own mom did that, and both of our kids never forgot the good feelings, the imaginative stories, and simply having one on one time. Super important in the long run, and I miss that now that my kids are grown.
Also that it could be that big!
I swear Lenny tried to copy Andre when he said the fish was perfect. I love Lenny, he's the best.
Adorable that Lenny is so scared of the drone but completely unphased by the crab 🦀 also love it when Elayna says, “Can you say crab?” Then Lenny, “Bob!” Just so cute! 😍

@Mr. & Mrs Smith will have to check that's crazy! I know that they can change their colours based on there surroundings but not much else tbh!
@@KentuckyChicken2 always good to clarify its just your opinion! One thing I will say is shooting fish with spear guns, whilst it may look brutal is far better for the fish than on a bait and hook fishing line. With a line you have no idea what you've hooked until it's in your hands/on the surface, as apposed to using the spear gun you pick and choose what you catch, greatly reducing the number of fish being put in a stressful situation, not to mention allowing younglings to not be affected. In turn helping the fish species numbers as you would only spear what you needed.
But I do agree we compare an animals intelligence based off our own human intelligence, but that is all we can do till science or whatever else teaches us otherwise!

So glad to see the bedtime stories. We have 3 kids - 10 to 17 and we read to each of them every night, we still read to our 10 year old. It’s the best part of the day!!!

Classic boat shower, love it. My family used to heat it up on the stove then pour it into a milk bottle which had holes in the lid. Best thing to come back to after a beach day :)

It seems to me a prior video was also a shore leave, did a check and forgot things. Everybody needs a haircut. Changing my recommendation from shoulder length to just a bit shorter. Buzz cut for the Renton.

My Dad used to do that with me when he wanted to work in his shop. He would give me a hammer a handful of nails and a piece of wood. It would keep me happy for hours!!! And I still remember it which is amazing!!!
