Art, I just cannot get over your entire family. I cannot imagine having as much support throughout our lives raising our six children. I pretty much did it alone with their Dad working daylight to dark. Sooo fortunate.

I’m overwhelmed and brought to thankful tears for my family- children and grandchildren, and how your family unit has grown and evolved over the past several years. Certainly brings life into perspective. At 71, I wish every young couple could slow down and savor the treasured, but chaotic moments of family. Irreplaceable!

Dont worry about the mess. Your kids can come home and help mama with cleaning and help taking care of the babies. They all love you and I think in the end they LOVE helping mama around the house. No worries !!!! Having twins with or without other kids would be hard. 1 baby is not easy but 7, wow. You need a break and do nothing.

Grandparents can be such wonderful help for tired parents. Knowing that your kids are happy let’s you relax more. Yes, big kids really do help. I remember learning that having an 8 year old girl in the house was amazing! She told me, “ Mom if you weren’t nursing, I could do it all!” She was kinda right. 😊☺️. Having a baby in the house is great for big kids, they are part of a team, that makes life better. “I couldn’t have done it without you.” These are words big siblings love to hear, kids want to be needed.

It’s so funny to watch this video because I grew up with parents who had a video camera and we would watch home movies in the winter evenings for fun. After we were grown, one Christmas we got out the old movies and watched with all the grandkids and other friends. We laughed so much. At the very end one of the younger kids said, “That was great but who was them people?” When we explained that the little boy riding the pony was his Dad, he said “ Nunt uh! My dad’s big!” We literally rolled on the floor with laughter. What a sweet memory now 20+ years later.

Thanks for this Art! I'm so glad you got a break to just chill out with the twins. Your family is so precious. Bri looks like she is starting to enjoy home again. I'm glad grandma could take the other five for a time to give you time with the twins. Having had two boys 14 months apart, when they get a little older and like to go in opposite directions it maybe a little hard to keep up with them. They're fast between 2 and 3 years old! I'm glad you have the other kids to help keep an eye on them. This was really enjoyable to watch. The matching bear outfits are cute.

Your family is a fine example of how LOVE conquers all. Brianna, I was 12 when I grew a smidge taller than my mum. She forbade me from wearing any higher healed shoes when we went out together. However, unlike you wanting your kids there, my mum was eager to see me out on my own as I was a bit of a rebellious child after we were uprooted from our home in rural Canada to move to Las Vegas NV. It is so adorable to see how the older kids love on the twins, with the coolest names, Royal and Truly appear to be doing extremely well and that what's important. The mess in the house will always be there to a point, My daughter has 8 children, I remember loads of unfolded laundry for daze. Continued blessings of abundance and wisdom, to All

I started watching you when Wyler was being born and it has been so much fun watching him grow. I have always admired how much his older siblings help with him. Now that he is older he is just one of them not needing as much help. I look forward to seeing the twins grow up. I am especially fond of them when they are just learning to walk and talk. Kids that age learn so much so fast that I just stand in awe and watch. Thanks for sharing you kids with us

Bri, one thing you need to learn is that if you don't take care of YOU first you won't be able to take care of everybody else. One day down and not everything done is better than Mom being out of commission for a week or better. Overwhelm is a real thing for moms with young kids. I finally learned, the dishes will wait, the world won't end if my kids have to wear a set of clothes 2 days in a row. BUT if their momma is so stressed and tired that she can't function, EVERYBODY looses. You are doing an amazing job. God bless

Here's an idea -- You have 5 other kids so on each weekday let one of them be the babies "friend." Anything the babies need is their job. On the weekend, it's mom and dad's turn. This will help with the need for everyone wanting to hold babies at the same time or all the time. This plan worked for us when our last child (miracle baby) came into our family. Good Luck!

I made a sign for my window by our front door……WE WIPE OUR FEET WHEN WE LEAVE THE HOUSE..
It was more important for me to feed them home cooking … our eggs and garden and they always went to school with clean bodies and clothes…I figured when they move on I may get my clean house.. my husband hunted and fished as well so we enjoyed ourselves.
Glad you were able to rest and relax and enjoy those babies.

  • @vickiemeisinger9632

I'm so glad Art & Bri, that the two of you took this day to just be with the babies by yourself and like you said, NOT FEEL ANY GUILT FOR IT, & NOT SPEND YOUR TIME CLEANING & WORKING... The quality time will never be replaced and I'm sure it was very good for the twins to have that quiet and the extra gentle attention and loving and Hair just mommy and daddy's voices and feel your kisses without any interruption.
My parents had 12 children and the one thing I hunger for a child number six was time alone with my dad or my mom. I could get time alone with my Art, if I worked with him. He worked so hard just like you do Art... finally on my 16th birthday, At about 45 minutes before sundown, we went fishing across the road had a wonderful catfish pond. That's what I asked for my birthday from my Dad wants to go fishing. I didn't want to go fishing and I just wanted Daddy alone....He ended up being on one side of the pond and I was on the other and I cooked a very large catfish just before the sun was completely down but I was having trouble reeling it in, And he was coming around to help me when all of a sudden, that smart catfish went under a pile of broken tree and branches in the water and the hook came flying up and right into my left eyelid. And of course my father side as quick as I felt the hook in my eye and he just call me said, as he hurried even faster, "just stand still, Suzie, listen to my voice I'm almost there!" And when he got there he pulled out a red bandanna handkerchief who is warm gets on it and a pair of pliers out of his carpenter pants and, of course, I couldn't see it but there was blood all over my face, and he just pulled me in under his left arm/shoulder to brace me in with his right hand he began working that hook out of my eye. Thankfully it did not actually get the eyeball but it did leave quite a scar a crossed the middle of my eyelid. Every time I put make up on, I think of the wonderful time I had with my father. And we actually caught 4 or 5 Nisi's cat fish for supper the next night +ones that were in the freezer. Any time you can carve out a little individual time with your children whether it's 30 minutes or an hour or like you did with Grace and letting her be with you Art, To be whispers of the new calf, even though all of the children except the twins were out in hayloft, eventually it was just you and Grace… Finding those moments are so important because from a child's perspective they need to feel they are uniquely loved and not just part of the work team & part of a crowd...Especially the middle children and there's a lot of psychology about that that I won't explain to you because you guys are very smart and I know you read. You're doing a wonderful job but as they get older I can tell you that teenage children are just the same in their heart and emotions as they were when they were toddlers they just need you so much and they definitely need more affirmation because I don't I always understand everything going on with her body or their peers. So, likewise, you both need to cut out time for yourselves and not feel guilty ever❣️I think you guys are just doing an amazing job and the babies are getting so very big… Looking at your son in your arms, Art, you're a tall man and your son takes up half the length now from below your waist almost to your shoulder and clear across your chest and it's just so amazing❣️❣️They're just SO beautiful❣️❣️❣️❣️
Bri, it really is very hard for women to a lower sales not to feel guilty and just rest and think it's OK because we've been trained to just work and then work more and then work harder because people just judge us if we don't have a perfect house and are a perfect mom in that we're not a perfect cooker and a perfect baker and a perfect mother with perfect children and the pressure is intense but you're doing it absolutely correctly !!!!I'm telling you because you're so much more relaxed than most household are… You're not constantly telling your children (if your video taping & they should walk in the room).. Go and wash your face and get yourself pretty again.. change your clothes and I know you had fun outside but now you must look good inside and… Before you help with the food go wash your hands again… And be OCD about everything because that's not real life on the farm. Surely yes we washed our hands before we handled food but if you go pick beans or peas out of the garden you rinse it off but then you go to snap the tips off and open up the peapods to push out the peas in a bowl and you're going to get muddy all over again because they're still dirty so you got to give yourself time for a bit & you just can't fuss constantly about the bit of dirt that you see. And kids are going to go outside and they're going to run and play and get dirty and sweaty and honestly I don't know about you but on the farm we did not take baths every day. This is going to shop the city people but we took a bath on Saturday nights before church and it was extremely hot and sweaty because we did not have running water in the house, and we had well water we could not afford in the summer to let our well go dry, so we shared bath water with three or four of us having the same bathwater before it was dumped out… And that's the reality of farm life. I want you to praise yourself and say good things to yourself both of you because I think your home life is amazing and your kids are growing up with love and joy and not being stressed about everything and sure I'm sure there's moments when things aren't as calm as what we see but you can't fake the happiness and joy and compassion that we see in a messy house is not a dirty house. You look so beautiful these days Bri Because you are happy and you're relaxed and not stressed. You have a little team of helpers and after supper if you said OK everybody we're gonna take 30 minutes and we're going to pick up and put up your house would look spotless and then you could sit down and play a game or read a book or whatever you choose and that's how my mom managed to keep her home clean and organized. Because you're 12 kids and tons of laundry. You cannot do it yourself sweetheart and right now you're still healing from having trans and I think you look beautiful in art you're an amazing husband and daddy and you guys keep taking time off and don't feel guilty. I'm a Mom and a Grandma of a total 14 children plus almost 80 nieces and nephews and I just wish we had more people in the world like the two of you,
    Art & Bri♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Bri I can so relate...I’m the same about working/being busy even when I’m exhausted. I’ll get up and see “one more thing” I need to do! Lol
I have a short story for encouragement I hope.
I have been gardening through the summer, then canning hard since the last of August. Seriously canning 2-3 times a week...all while recovering from breast cancer surgery that I had the first of the summer(hence me working hard to make up for a lost summer).
Something that slowed me down 2 weeks ago, was two things...first, one morning the Lord seemed to be gently reminding me that Martha stayed (too) busy, and Mary sat at His feet and spent time with Him. I had to think hard “Lord, am I being a Martha?” (I had a sinking feeling I was lol) And then secondly, my 3 1/2 year old grandson that I keep, lost a part for my canner and it took 10 days for the replacement part to arrive😬
At first I was disappointed that I couldn’t keep the frenzied pace...then the Lord showed me to just enjoy things...first Him more, and my family next.
The part has come in, and I haven’t canned anything yet 😂
Believe me when I say, this story is not for your situation. I had a 3 year old and twins at the same time(they are 35 and 32)...so my current situation is waaay different from yours...you are, out of necessity, in a busy time with newborn twins...I’m just telling you what the Lord did to slow me down since I didn’t on my own😂
Do NOT feel guilty for the house or anything else that has to go longer than you would like. You and Art need time together as well as time with just the twins.❤️
I’m preaching to myself as well! I’m undergoing radiation and the nurse just told me to accept help...as hard as it is 😉
I’m a retired nurse, and I had to be told info that I’ve told pts before! So, I’ve accepted some dinners and my adult kids are great....believe it or not, keeping my grandson for my daughter to work actually keeps my spirits up...and the other twin daughter keeps him for me also during this time. My family is pulling together and I’ll be done by two days after Thanksgiving! Btw, my cancer was caught very early(get those mammograms ladies!)and it had not spread and the radiation is just extra insurance. The radiation oncologist says it is “like vacuuming up any cancer crumbs that may have been left”😊(Huge shout out to the VA and Duke Breast Cancer Center(my surgeon is head of the BC center @Duke and the VA in Durham, and Duke Raleigh for radiation) who have been the BEST! I highly recommend all the ones that have been involved with my care! Especially the Lord!)
God bless and I just love your family! 🥰

Bri needs to offer herself permission to just rest! Things did not go to plan, and that's okay! It's okay to just take time for yourself, the house won't fall apart over it. Love seeing how much love you guys have as a family.

Guys please talk to Justin Rhodes about milking. You are going to end up with a cow with mastitis. It is so important you keep on a schedule if your going to have a dairy cow or you are asking for trouble. Either let the calf just take the milk or calf share so that she is emptied out when she needs to be. I know you have a lot on your plate and I'm not trying to sound mean. Just throwing caution to the wind on extra expense and suffering of your dairy cow. She will produce milk as long as you milk her. Once you start milking and the calf is taking milk she is over supplying. Not a bad thing but consistency is vital.

Truly was making the most adorable little sounds. Infant chatter. OMG. What a mood elevator. And putting twins in matching outfits is so cute and will only last for a couple of years when they start dressing themselves and refuse to match. I love you two so much. The Biggest Most Potent Blessings to Both of You All Day, All Night, All Week, All Month, All Year. That copper wire tree was fantastic.
But I still say those bumps around your location are hills.... not mountains. rofl

One of the channels I watch is "Keeping it Dutch". He says the whole reason he started his channel is that he wanted to capture memories for his children. His participation with their lives. He lost his father at a young age 5 or 6 years old and was raised by his grandmother. I think a lot of family orientated channels find documenting their lives through youtube as a byproduct. There are a lot of different reasons for starting a channel and sticking with it. I think for most families it turns into a documentary of their lives!
